Buddy Humphrey wore #10 1959-60. We attribute the use to him because of the combination of oversized sleeve numbers, embedded yellow stripes and him being the only player to wear the number until Billy Lothridge in '65. Great overall wear is exhibited with numeral softness on the single color mustard yellow identifiers. Stretched ribbed material is fitted on the sleeve ends and elbow reinforcements are found near the forearm region. A crotch-piece, complete with the original six buttons, is still in-tact. Applied to one end of the crotch-piece is a Fredericks & Co. manufacturers tag and Wilson size "44" label. Fitted under the arms are diamond-shaped inserts. (Troy Kinunen, MEARS)

*Late Addition* 1961-62 Wilt Chamberlain Philadelphia Warriors Game Worn Road Shorts Lot #1179l (Sale Order 186 of 479) In Chamberlain's third season, the Warriors were coached by Frank McGuire, the coach who had masterminded Chamberlain's painful NCAA loss against the Tar Heels. In that year, Wilt set several all-time records which have never been threatened. In the 1962 season, he averaged 50.4 points and grabbed 25.7 rebounds per game. On March 2, 1962, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Wilt scored 100 points, shot 36 of 63 from the field, and made 28 of 32 free throws against the New York Knicks. Chamberlain's 4,029 regular-season points made him the only player to break the 4,000-point barrier;[2] the only other player to break the 3,000-point barrier is Michael Jordan, with 3,041 points in the 198687 NBA season. Chamberlain once again broke the 2,000-rebound barrier with 2,052. Additionally, he was on the hardwood for an average of 48.53 minutes, playing 3,882 of his team's 3,890 minutes. Because Chamberlain played in overtime games, he averaged more minutes per game than the regulation 48; in fact, Chamberlain would have reached the 3,890-minute mark if he had not been ejected in one game after picking up a second technical foul with eight minutes left to play. These Wilt Chamberlain 1961-62 Philadelphia Warriors uniform shorts were worn during his historic 3rd season in the league. On the inside back tail of the jersey is the "Pearson" label, long tag, and next to this is a blue patch with "36 61 13" done in white chain stitch and denoting the player size, year, and number respectively. 1945-48 Joe Perry Compton College Football Jacketwith LOA Lot #1187 (Sale Order 194 of 479) Rare piece of early football history from a by gone era. Joe Perry played his college ball at Compton College in California. Nicknamed "The Jet," Perry was not known for being a powerful fullback, or particularly elusive; he simply had fantastic speed (9.7 100 yards). Perry retired as the NFL career rushing leader, surpassing the old record of 5,860 yards held by Steve Van Buren, and which was later broken by Jim Brown on October 20, 1963. He was also the first NFL runner ever to have consecutive 1,000 yard rushing seasons (1953 and 1954). Perry's durability allowed him to play in three separate decades, from the 1940s to the 1960s, for 16 seasons. During the mid-1950s, Perry was a member of the San Francisco 49ers "Million Dollar Backfield", playing alongside Hugh McElhenny, John Henry Johnson and Y.A. Tittle. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969. Currently the 49ers "Million Dollar Backfield" is the only full-house backfield to have all four of its members enshrined in the Hall. Some damage to the shoulders. Comes with signed COA from Joe Perry.

1929 Chicago Bears Cardboard Countertop Football Schedule Featuring Red Grange Lot #1205 (Sale Order 218 of 479) 1929 Chicago Bears Schedule Broadside with Red Grange. Before the appearance on the scene of the game's biggest star, professional football was given about the same respect as was the recent X.F.L. College football was the only football that mattered, so it is certainly not overstating the matter to claim that the University of Illinois star single-handedly brought legitimacy to the National Football League. Joining Babe Ruth, Bobby Jones and Bill Tilden as the Golden Age representative of his respective sport, Grange was the only obvious choice to be featured on promotional materials for pieces such as this marvelous broadside that encourages fans to attend Bears games at Chicago's Wrigley Field. The powerful image of the Galloping Ghost is framed by bold art deco text, creating one of the most aesthetically beautiful broadsides to reach the auction block in recent memory. Condition is remarkable for an artifact of this vintage, with the small supply of light creasing restricted all but entirely to the white areas of the piece and doing nothing to detract from the tremendous eye appeal. The heavy card stock broadside is 14x21" in size, but its importance is simply immeasurable. 19"x27" Framed

1920 Chicago Staley Team Photo George Halas Signed Lot #1240 (Sale Order 253 of 479) Old, original, and authentic. We know them today as the storied Chicago Bears. But in 1920, they were inaugurated as an independent eleven by the Staley Starch Co. in Decatur, Illinois. A year later, and on the heels of overwhelming on-field success, their captain, coach, scout and GM, George Halas, moved the team to Chicago with the stipulation he retain the company name for the 1921 season. The following season Halas christened them the "Bears." This vintage photograph depicts that group of professional pioneers titled "1920 STALEY TEAM". It depicts a roster of rugged college stars, ringers, local toughs and early glimpses of Hall of Famers Halas and center George Trafton, as well as QB and future Brooklyn Dodger skipper Chuck Dressen. (Later in the season, Halas added future Hall of Famers Guy Chamberlin, Paddy Driscoll, and Jimmy Conzelman). Each player is identified, including Halas wearing a striped captain's jersey.
