Check out these numbers: these are the number of GSA coins graded by NGC, 84-cc - 31,207; 83-cc - 26,119; 82-cc - 19523; 85-cc - 9216; 80-cc - 6200; 78-cc - 3217; 79-cc - 670 and this coin the 84-o 355, wow! 1/2 of the 79-cc population, of all those dates only 1/3 of 1% were 84-o's! That's scarce. After the US Government audited its vaults in the mid 70's they found a Hoard of Morgan Dollars in the basement vault in the federal reserve. Luster ranges from a subdued satin finish to bright and frosted, while weak areas are often confused with wear.
