The CIDG (Civilian Irregular Defense Group) was devised by the CIA in the early 60's for South Vietnamese/US Special Forces personnel to train villagers in defense tactics. They eventually became small efficient recon teams. This patch was worn by trained Cambodian Special Forces soldiers assigned to Team Recon Missouri as the scroll would suggest. Detachment A-502 was unique in both men and mission. Typically, a Special Forces A-Team has 12 men, two officers and 10 NCO's (non commissioned officers). However, because of its mission assignment, A-502 became the largest A-Team ever to exist. The team was at its greatest number in mid 1968 when it had approximately 56 men. Rare WWII Luftwaffe Pilot's "Channel" Flight Pants Lot #105 (Sale Order 110 of 242) Heavy weight brown and white flecked "salt and pepper" cotton, with buttoned waistband adjustable by cotton tapes with metal sliding buckles. Attached to the waistband at each hip is a loop of cotton tape with a metal buckle for attachment to braces. At the rear are two pairs of black glass buttons, also for use with braces. The seat of the trousers is reinforced with a second layer of fabric. The fly is fastened by a 36 cm zipper fly. Zippers also close the lower leg sections to the knee, and two slash openings on the hips, which permit access to clothing worn underneath the trousers. There are five external pockets for the storage of survival equipment. Each thigh has a expanding patch pocket covered with flaps. These are secured with two snap fasteners. On the side of the upper right thigh is an internal pistol holster. On the lower right leg are two narrow pockets. The upper pocket has the opening at the bottom and secured on one corner by a snap fastener. The left thigh has an internal pocket with a zip fastener concealing a pair of leather loops. The knees are internally reinforced with a panel of purple velveteen. There is RB Nr stamp of 0/0708/0001 with a date of 1944. Zipper pulls are marked RAPID and ZIPP. Snaps are mark PRYM6. Rare pair of pants in excellent collectible condition.

Rare Early NSDAP Political "KreissLeiter" Visor cap-Black Piped Lot #192 (Sale Order 203 of 242) Period example with the pre 1939 black piping-Fine wool body with light brown velvet/felt band. The brown finish visor shows age crazing and the transitional wreath has finish loss. The cap body does show wear with a few holes that are mainly on the under sides and in the rear so display is not distracting. Celluloid sweat shield is intact. The leather sweat band has a couple of tears but is intact. Oil cloth RZM tag is dated 1934-35. A rare example of this first model visor cap in very good "been there" collectible condition!
