10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, painted facial features, open mouth, two porcelain upper teeth, brunette human hair, composition bent limb baby body. Marks:1295 F.S. & Co 25. Generally excellent. Franz Schmidt, circa 1915. The gentle faced baby is presented in wicker layette with blue sateen lining and is fitted with various other costumes. accessories, teddy bear with Steiff button, and an amusing towel embroidered with ducks and "Splash, Splash".

Two original Lenci paper labels, one indicating in red ink the model name "Rita 34" and the other indicating the costume of the region of Abbruzzo in Italy. Near mint condition. Lenci, circa l938.

Excellent condition. Marks: 301 W & Co Thuringia 2. Weidel and Co, the firm originated in 1912; in 1923 ownership changed and the name became Steinbacher Porzellanfabrick. Dolls by this firm are rarely found, and this example is virtually unplayed with, especially wonderful wig, and wearing original traditional costume and coiffe.

A bisque head with sleep eyes, open mouth, and blonde mohair wig forms the peak of a silk covered parasol; the parasol serves as the doll's costume, and her composition feet are the handle of the parasol, hidden beneath the "costume" in the parasol frame, which opens and closes as though the costume is flaring or not. Bisque and frame are excellent, mechanism functions well, silk is somewhat frail. The bisque head is marked Halbig K*R 15. Circa 1900.

Arranged upon a 9" x 9" wooden base is an arched garland of flowers, wooden table and three chairs upon which are set pewter tea cups and plates. Seated at the table are three 5" bisque-head dolls with painted features, closed mouth mohair wig, paper mache body, antique costumes. When wound, music plays and the little dolls turn their heads to and fro, and lift their arms as though drinking tea or greeting each other. Generally excellent, costumes a tad dusty, mechanism and music function well. Germany, attributed to Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890.

7" (18 cm.) The cast iron bank is shaped as a miniature puppet theatre, with "Punch and Judy Bank" heading, and having original painted finish, blue curtains, and cast iron figures of Punch and Judy at the stage. When coin is placed on Judy's tray and lever pulled, Punch waves the stick he holds and Judy turns to submit the coin. The bank was patented by Peter Adams and manufactured by Shepard Hardware of Buffalo New York in 1884. Functioning well, original painted finish albeit paint rubbed.
