Felt swivel head with blue glass flirty googly eyes, painted brown curly upper lashes, arched short brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in wide O-shaped expression, blonde mohair wig captured in snood at the nape, jointing at shoulders and hip. Excellent condition. Lenci, the glass-eyed version of the googly model was introduced by the firm in 1936, the rare-to-find model is beautifully-preserved, wearing her original very fresh Scottish-themed costume comprising fitted brown long jacket, sienna felt skirt with criss-cross felt applique to create an impression of "plaid", matching reticule, black feathered tam, and ruffled pantalets.

The doll is wearing original silk costume, and when wound, she glides forward and revolves in circular manner. Generally excellent. French, Vichy, circa 1860.
