The porcelain sign is double sided with a wooden frame. It has some scraping and soiling in the field. The top mounting holes have metal loss and have been pulled through. This is a very scarce sign that we have only seen once before. (Very Good). Largest Framed : 26 -1/2" x 23 -1/2".

Included in this lot is a 1907 Automobile Club of America Year Book. This book lists all the active members and talks about the Club. It has some peeling of the spine and moderate wear on the cover. A 1904 New York City Motorbook which shows some maps and routes as well as a list of all automobile owners in New York State. The spine is rather loose on this book and could benefit from a repair. A 1905 Official New York Automobile Register and Tourists Guide. This book shows routes, clubs, custom laws, ferry regulations, automobile dealers and more. It is in very good condition with light wear. Lastly there is a 1906 Automobile show booklet from New York City which lists all the exhibitors. It has some a few light punches on the front cover. The miniature bottle of cognac is unopened and is from 1906. It was given out at the seventh annual banquet for the Automobile Club of America. Also in this lot is a very early Automobile Club of America license plate topper. It has cut rivets on the bottom where it was once affixed to a license plate. Included in this lot is one early, original Automobile Club of America hood Ornament and one original molding for the same ornament. The unfinished ornament is in great condition with no wear and is mounted to a Bakelite cap. The finished ornament is used, with a wonderful patina and different logos on each side, stamped "1351". One side has the Automobile Club of America logo while the other side has the U.S. flag. (Very Good Plus). Each : 6 -1/2" x 3 -1/2".

This is a very scarce pair of 1904 Automobile Club of America awards. Both pieces have very ornate designs with Automobile Club of America spoked wheel logos on the tops. One award is blank on the back and the other is engraved. The 1st place engraved award was given to the Union Motor Truck Co. It beat the competition in a 20 hp. gasoline stake truck in a service test of motor wagons. Both awards have very light handling wear. (Very Good Plus). 5-1/4" x 3".
