Ford, Thunderbird 1965 Lot #119 (Sale Order 44 of 124) This 1965 example that you see before you has had significant mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Over $25,000.00 has been spent including electrical, mechanical, interior, paint and plating. It’s absolutely drop dead gorgeous. with all the period correct equipment such as the airplane dash gauges, the slide-away steering and the “French option” reclining passenger seat. Rarely seen in this breathtaking condition, be the star of your show. A timeless “Jet-age” vehicle that makes me think of Neil Armstrong, apple pie, picnics and $.20 a gallon gasoline. An exciting and spectacular example of the pace-age designed Thunderbird that powered the way for new height in design. Luxury and wretched excessive performance and thrust the “T-bird” into a new realm of recognition as a top of the line luxury sports coupe. Impossible to duplicate this condition for a reasonable price, it was a solid driver to begin with. The opulent restored driver will compliment any collection large or small.

Citroen, 2CV 6 1978 Lot #128 (Sale Order 53 of 124) This is a 1978 Citroen 2CV6 Export 4 door (roll up roof top) with 78000km original or 47850 original miles This car was sold new in Germany , the reason for export model is that they were built in France but had extra marker light, signal light , left and right side rear view mirror ,nicer cloth interior and a few dash option that the regular French sold model didn’t have ….it comes with a service manual and fitted car cover and also the Original Kentwood AM FM cassette player and original option aftermarket Robri Polished aluminum fender rock chip protector on front and rear fender the original owner from Germany took it with him to Vancouver when he moved to retire on Vancouver island about 30 years and never drove it much … the car i s completely original with no rust and has never been restore which is very rare for these car as they were known to rust easily the paint is steel shows very well with some ship in the front ….but because originals are very very rare and seem to sell much better than restored one ,the actual owner decided not to repaint it even it would look a little bit better without the tiny little rock chip … Brake and engine tune up was done a few years back and it past a very strict out of province inspection in Alberta when it’s actual owner brought it from British Columbia to Alberta …

Ghia, 1500 GT 1967 Lot #131 (Sale Order 56 of 124) Vin# 0284987 Motor # 1-419303 Carrozzeria Ghia is famous for their custom work on other models of cars however, Ghia built a few models of their own in the 1960s. This extraordinary Ghia 1500 GT is one of very few of these rare cars. Only 846 were built between 1963 and 1967. Only 36 were officially exported to the USA. Almost none remain in any condition. This is an exceptional example, perhaps one of the finest in the world. The 1500 GT was powered by a Fiat 1.5-liter straight-four with horsepower ratings ranging from 67 to 84. The top speed was over 100 mph. Suspension consists of an independent front end with coil springs and a live rear axle with leaf springs. The former owner replaced the Fiat 1500 motor with a fresh 118 horsepower 2 Litre Volvo motor with dual SU carburetors. When he performed the complete restoration, the body and frame were blasted, epoxy primed, and painted Rosso Corsa by a top quality paint shop in Bellingham, WA. An original 1500 Fiat motor is on a stand and available with the car. The replacement motor weighs considerably less than the original motor and produces nearly 30 more horsepower. The Borrani wheels have been powder coated and new tires were fitted. The headliner, seats, and carpet are all fully restored. A superb and fast car, the extra 40-60hp makes it an exciting drive. Full documentation of restoration accompanies this rare, unusual and uncompromisingly car. Compare it to the much more common and much more expensive Alfa Romeo Sprint Specials. It is a veritable bargain at only 25% of the pricing.

NSU, Wankel Spider 1967 Lot #134 (Sale Order 59 of 124) 1967 NSU Wankel Low Miles, Time Capsule, Original This is a 1967 NSU Wankel Spider Convertible 2 Door with a 498 cc Single Rotor Wankel engine and 4-speed all-synchromesh manual transmission. The NSU Spider is an automobile which was produced by NSU Motorenwerke AG from 1964 to 1967. This was the first production car in the world to be powered by the Wankel rotary engine. This car what thought to be unremarkable. It is a milestone car. It first appeared in 1964 at the Frankfurt Motor Show it is very distinguishable by the grill at the front. The engine is rear mounted and to keep weight distribution even. The radiator and fuel tank are located in the front. These cars were either painted red or white. Only 2,375 were built in the three years of production. Today less than 400 are known to exist. This car hails from southern California and has been stored inside for over 30 years. It is in time-capsule condition underneath with absolutely no visible rust throughout. The car is in incredible, original condition throughout and appears completely original. It features only 39,248 miles from new. It needs a complete restoration, and hasn?t been started for eons but parts are accessible. NSU license and brand was purchased by VW back in the 70?s, so there are parts support available through several clubs and specialty vendors. This micro car is in amazing condition and deserves to be with a museum or collection. A few parts as depicted by the photos are missing such as a tachometer, tail light lens, and a radio. Most were used on other cars we believe, so they should be somewhat accessible.

Cadillac, 60 Special 1940 Lot #138 (Sale Order 63 of 124) Attached is the Senior Badge award document for the Cadillac as a result of it taking first place in a CCCA National judging meet in 1999. This makes it one of about 3500 current senior badge vehicles in the world. I purchased the car in 2002 and have had it stored in a heated garage at my home since then. The car is exactly the same as when it took 1st place in the CCCA nationals in Indianapolis in 1999 except for some mechanical improvements. The engine was rebuilt about 8 years ago by Waterhouse Machine in Tacoma to correct a rod knock due to a defect in the original restoration. We also replaced the entire fuel system from tank to carburetor to correct fuel system issues caused by ethanol gas. The system is now fully compatible with ethanol gas. The car has been driven largely to local shows and family events. it has also been a favorite car to transport bride and grooms in wedding for family and friends. The car is very solid and runs great. I would not hesitate to drive it across country--if the weather was good!

Equipped with 6 Dunlop calipers, dual brake boosters and a proportioning valve, this is a well-engineered working truck years ahead of its time. A magnificent example of Italian engineering and design. Laser straight and super low miles, from a famous Italian collection.

Volkswagen, Karmann Ghia 1972 Lot #151 (Sale Order 76 of 124) My 1972 Karmann Ghia Story I bought my first Karmann Ghia in 1971, a 1959 black coupe. I used it to drive it to and from work for about 4 years. I loved the gas mileage, but it took almost the entire trip to work in the morning before the passenger compartment started to get warm. Not a great car for cold winter mornings. In early 1975 I saw an ad for a used 1972 Karmann Ghia in the Bellingham Herald, our local newspaper, and decided to check it out. The car was originally purchased by Mr. Maynard Palmer Feb. 3, 1972, from Lange Volkswagen in Bellingham Washington. As shown in the maintenance records, the car was maintained by Lange VW, Rothausen VW, and Huggins Texaco through 10-2-1973 (23,423 miles). The Langstraat?s bought the car from Rothausen Volkswagen Dec. 15, 1973, with 25,950 miles on the odometer, as recorded on the Used Car Guarantee. My understanding is that Mrs. Langstraat intended to drive it to/from work, but after buying the car she found out that she could not drive a stick shift, so they decided to sell the car after having it only a short time. When I spotted the ad for the Karmann Ghia, it was listed with low mileage and sounded good, so I went to Lynden to look it over. I bought the car from the Langstraat?s February 2, 1975, with much of the original paperwork (owners manual, Vokswagen Diagnosis Coupons, Volkswagen Passing, Braking and Tire Reserve Load Data pamphlet, Volkswagen Distributors and Dealers in North and Central America booklet). I still have the paperwork for the car, including the Used Car Guarantee from 1973 and the 12,000 and 18,000 mile Volkswagen Diagnosis and Maintenance Test Reports. I drove the 1972 Karmann Ghia to/from work in Mount Vernon, about 25 miles each way, from 1975 until 1981. I found it to be a nicer car than my 1959 Model and the passenger compartment heated up much, much faster. It was warm in about a half a mile or less; which was much better on cold winter mornings. Our longest trip in the car was to and from Springfield, Oregon in July 1975, to visit my daughter and son-in-law. We hauled two tricycles in the back, with the seat folded down, for their two daughters. Most of the rest of the miles on the car were from local Western Washington trips and to/from work. Being a mechanic by trade I maintained the car myself, changing oil, rotating tires, and doing any other required maintenance. Maintenance records and fuel mileage are recorded in my ?little black book? that is available with the car. The car was last licensed for road use through March 1990. It?s been sitting in my garage, covered, most of the time since then, with an occasional excursion outside for cleaning and making sure it still runs. In 2014, my son and I replaced the brake calipers and brake hoses, and replaced the steering dampener. We also found that we couldn?t keep it running at idle, so overhauled the carburetor. We tried several things to get it to idle right, to no avail, so replaced the carburetor with a new one. I have the original carburetor with the car, in case it can be fixed. We also recently cleaned up the voltage regulator because it wasn?t charging correctly (as noted by the red ?brake? light on the dash being on). After cleaning up the voltage regulator, it now charges correctly. The interior of the car is almost entirely original, except the leather covering on the steering wheel and the under-the-dash mount for an 8-track tape player, that is available to go with the car.
