2004 BMW X5 Lot #5 (Sale Order 5 of 87) I very much enjoy driving this rig, It just goes down the road. It has almost 154,000, miles. This is part of what a review said about it. We, (CAR and Driver) flogged a few X5s equipped with the system at BMW’s test track across the street from its factory in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where the X5 is built. Running water at strategic places on the track created conditions where all, some, or none of the wheels was able to get a grip. What we discovered was, well, nothing. The xDrive did its work with no discernible lag, noise, or effort. The X5 remained under control through all but the most moronic driving. Transparent is a word in vogue these days, but it falls short in describing this four-wheel-drive system; invisible is more like it.Displacement: 268 cu in, 4398cc Power: 315 hp @ 5400 rpm Torque: 324 lb-ft @ 3600 rpm TRANSMISSION: 6-speed automatic DIMENSIONS: Wheelbase: 111.0 in Length: 183.7 in Width: 73.7 in Height: 67.2 in Curb weight: 4960 lb C/D TEST RESULTS: Zero to 60 mph: 7.1 sec Zero to 100 mph: 18.5 sec Zero to 120 mph: 29.6 sec Street start, 5-60 mph: 7.3 sec Standing 1/4-mile: 15.4 sec @ 92 mph Top speed (governed): 127 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 178 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.77 g FUEL ECONOMY: EPA fuel economy, city driving: 16 mpg C/D-observed fuel economy: 16 mpg

1946 Ford Sedan Lot #14 (Sale Order 14 of 87) 1946 Ford Sedan
The 1946 Ford design was based on the 1941 Ford that was produced in 1941 and partially in 1942 when production of vehicles for civilian consumption ended. Civilian production resumed in July 1945, with an early start to the 1946 model year filling the public's thirst for new cars. The 1946 Ford was identical to the 1942 model under the skin, though a heavy new grille with horizontal bars and red accents modernized the car somewhat. The hood was widened by adding a center strip. One notable change was to use the 239 CID engine which since 1939 had been used in Mercurys and trucks, and capable of 100 hp for the first time.
This car is a very nice 4 door sedan. The exterior color is blue, interior is gray. The transmission is a 3 speed manual on the steering column and the engine is a 6 cylinder. This car is driven and runs strong and drives straight.

1957 Nash Metropolitan Lot #29 (Sale Order 30 of 87) 1957 Nash Metropolitan
VIN: E25554
In the early 1950s, once strong auto manufacturers Nash merged with Hudson to create the American Motors Corporation. Shortly following the merger, the Metropolitan was introduced to the market as likely the first subcompact car. It was presented as an economical premium car, ideal for commuting; its size was designed to allow for European sales, where traditional American cars were rapidly dying out because of their size. Starting in 1954, Austin built the Nash Metropolitan under contract, using Fisher & Ludlow bodies, in Longbridge, England. The car was then shipped to the United States. The car sports a 1.5 liter Austin B-series engine which produces a "whopping" 52 horsepower!
This car was restored by a man who had three daughters. He purchased and restored three Metropolitans and his girls drove the cars through high school. The car presented at auction is the last of the three he restored. While the work is an older restoration, the car has held up very well. Extensive records are available with the car which runs and drives good. A complete upper-end gasket set was recently installed to the motor and all components on the car work including the dial AM Radio!
The two tone yellow and white paint is a good match for this car, and the interior is in good condition. Overall, a nice 1957 Nash Metropolitan!

1969 CHEVROLET C10 Lot #31 (Sale Order 33 of 87) This was a time when trucks were coming into more than just for work, some writers even call it the Glamour age.For 1969, the look of these trucks was made slightly more aggressive by changing the hood to a more upright profile with a prominent Chevrolet bow tie emblem planted dead center. A bold grille, with a bright center bar, divided the front end and the truck’s face was bordered with bright outer trim.1967-’72 trucks were a turning point for GM trucks in terms of interior luxury. Suddenly the option sheet boasted items previously unheard of in trucks, This truck has factory AC, and automatic transmission. This truck is very nice, it wouldn’t take much to make it Exceptional.

1967 Buick California GS Lot #38 (Sale Order 42 of 87) 1967 Buick California GS
Muscle cars were bursting onto the ever expanding car scene in the mid 1960's, and the GS was Buick's entry. Originally promoted on the west coast, the 1967 Buick California GS had nationwide appeal and was Buicks only foray into the minimalist muscle car movement. This car is a very nice example of a Buick Muscle Car.
The car came out of Utah and was found 2016 with what may have been the original bias ply tires still on the car. The odometer shows 31K miles, but can not be verified as actual. A new headliner was installed, the front seat reupholstered and the door panels appear to be original. The car sports a new vinyl top and all dash components work. The 340 V-8 has a 4bbl carb and is connected to an automatic transmission. The car runs well and drives smooth like a 67 Buick should. The body was in very solid condition when found in 2016 and received new paint. No body panels had to be replaced! 1967 Buick California GS did not have a large production run. Various numbers are presented, with 1577 being the most likely number according to the Buick documents found at the Sloan Museum, This car is a fine example of one of the remaining Buick California GS that is still on the road 50 years later!

2005 AUDI W12 A8 Lot #42 (Sale Order 46 of 87) This car is one of only 150 that came into the U.S. in 05. miles 101,325. The interior is stunning, The exterior is in excellent shape, I have ordered the tail light that got broke, it will be on it or in it on sale day. I personally have never driven a nicer car. My wife wants to keep it but it has to go. Here is what they were saying about it in 05. Last year in the U.S., 12-cylinder luxury sedans racked up fewer than 2000 sales. BMW’s 760Li, which sells for a cool $119,195, accounted for about 700 of them. Owing to monster muscle (493 horsepower) and its ultimate upscale image, Mercedes made tidy profits on more than 900 S600s, which start at $126,620. That VW/Audi will add two players (the $120,000 Audi A8L 6.0 Quattro shown here and the $95,000 VW Phaeton W-12) to this tiny niche-where they will compete with each other-can only be attributed to the mystifying ambitions of former VW major-domo Ferdinand Piëch Specifications VEHICLE TYPE: front-engine, 4-wheel-drive, 4- or 5-passenger, 4-door sedan ESTIMATED BASE PRICE: $120,000 ENGINE TYPE: DOHC 48-valve W-12, aluminum block and heads, port fuel injection Displacement: 366 cu in, 5998cc Power (SAE net): 444 bhp @ 6200 rpm Torque (SAE net): 428 lb-ft @ 4700 rpm TRANSMISSIONS: 6-speed automatic. 1966 Pontiac Tempest Convertible Lot #48 (Sale Order 52 of 87) 1966 Pontiac Tempest Convertible
VIN: 235676Z100795
According to published data, only 5500 Pontiac Tempest Convertibles were produced in 1966. This 1966 Pontiac presented at auction is a Z code car (produced in Fremont, CA) and a numbers matching V-8 and automatic transmission, making this a low production number car!
This very solid California car underwent a complete restoration within the last 4 years. While the body was not removed from the frame during the restoration, new body mounts were installed. All body sheet metal was very solid and original to the car, with the only exception being the trunk floor. While the very minor existence of pin holes could have been covered with filling and leveling product, the owner opted to professionally replace the truck with factory replacement panels to maintain the integrity of the car. While the car is fitted with a GTO hood, the original hood to the car is available. All trim and chrome was refurbished and looks excellent! While the beautiful red paint is not correct to the body tag, it never-the-less looks GREAT with the black interior and black convertible top.
Under the hood you’ll find a matching numbers 326 V-8 with the correct AFB 4bbl carburetor. The motor was rebuilt as was the transmission. The motor runs strong and the transmission shifts just like a 66 Pontiac should. Since this is a Z-code car, all the California smog components came with the car from the factory. While this was removed during restoration, all CA smog parts original to the car are available if desired.
During restoration, the springs were replaced with new, and new upper ball joints were installed. The brakes were completely rebuilt and maintain the original drum braking system. The steering, braking and suspension are restored to factory specs. The wheels are Rally 1 wheels, and the original wheels and caps are available with the car. New tires complete the excellent look of this car.
The interior was completely restored with new carpet, upholstery, door panels and more. An after-market wood steering wheel was installed. All dash components work and an 8-track radio from a GTO was installed. The car sports a new vinyl convertible top with a glass rear window! The top hydraulics were re-worked and the top goes up and down smoothly.
The car has been meticulously maintained since completion of the restoration. The car has never seen rain and is parked in a climate controlled garage. You’ll look far and wide to find as nice a 1966 Pontiac Tempest Convertible as this one presented at auction on September 2 in Billings, MT.

1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe Lot #53 (Sale Order 56 of 87) 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe
In 1948, the major auto manufacturers in America were having a hard time keeping up with the orders for new cars due to pent-up demand from Detroit production focusing on the war effort. As a result, few changes were made to the pre-war Plymouth cars from 1941. Production of vehicles for the civilian market following the WWII began in 1945 keeping the same model style up through the 1948 model year. The car was considered very stylish at the time, so Plymouth felt no need to update the car immediately following the war.
This 1948 2 door sedan is a very nice original car. The car has received an exterior cosmetic restoration but was a solid car to begin with. The interior is all original as is the trunk and in the engine compartment. The car runs and drives good.
