WWII Cattaraugus 225Q Commando knife, also known as the Quartermaster, with sheath. Perhaps unissued Lot #23 (Sale Order 22 of 288) Fixed blade knife marked Cattaraugus No. 225Q with sheath. 10-1/2" overall. Blade is in very good condition with the slightest haze of rust, perhaps from fingerprints. Has only been factory sharpened. Pommel and guard are correctly raw steel and are starting to patina. Leather handle washers are tight with the signature washer flaws in the middle of the stack. Original left hand sheath is also in good condition. I believe this knife to be unissued, or at least unused.

Early plastic or celluloid veneer overlay is in remarkably good condition with several minor chips at corners and such. Remnant of paper pasted on case back reads 'Patented Sept. 7, 1880'. Key is included.
