The right side of the magazine well is marked Made in W-GERMANY over the importer address: HK CHANTILLY, VA. The left side of the magazine well is marked Kal. 9mmx19. The short threaded barrel is mounted with a removable S&H Arms 9mm Suppressor (S/N 11716S) to match the gun. The SEF style, three-position trigger group has an single sided selector switch for Safe, Semi-Auto and Full-Auto firing, designated with the letters "S", "E" and "F", respectively. The gun has an S&H full auto sear, S/N 1274. The A3 configuration pistol grip has finger grooves and the usual retractable buttstock. The usual adjustable aperture rear sight and ringed-post front sight are in place, as well as a flip up front post with a tritium insert that no longer glows. The gun is accompanied by (3) 30-round HK straight magazines that are SD / MP5 HK marked. The magazines are dated 12/73, 11/74 and 4/79. An adjustable nylon sling is included.

Standard two-line Winchester address and that markings on barrel, with caliber marking on barrel in front of receiver and on bottom of brass cartridge lifter. Model 1873 marking on upper tang.

Condition: Good to very good. Barrel with some minute traces of blue in protected areas but mostly a plum brown patina. Barrel mostly smooth, with some minor surface oxidation and pinpricking. Receiver a similar plum brown patina. Brass cartridge lifter deeply tarnished. All markings crisp and clear throughout. Mechanically functional, good bore, with light to moderate pitting along its entire length. Stock and forend with wear, dings, mars and scuffs.

Bead front sight with folding leaf rear sights in 50, 100, and 150 yard increments.  Checkered forend and grip.  Horn buttplate and forend cap.  Top of barrel marked "AGNEW & SON . 79 . SOUTH ST. EXETER."  Anti-glare filing present on top of barrel, as is evidence that the rear sight was moved and its 50 yard increment altered.  Barrel tang marked "ATHELSTANE CORDEROY, TIVERTON, DEVON" in three lines.  Bottom of trigger guard marked with serial number.

Leather-covered case is decorated with St. George's Cross motif with the top marked "A C" and front labeled "RETURN TO ATHELSTANE CORDEROY, TIVERTON, DEVON"  in four lines. Case corners reinforced with brass. Inside of case includes Agnew and Son label, empty box of .22 caliber cartridges, cleaning cloths, and key.

Condition: Fair condition. Much of the finish remains on the barrel with some light rust from storage.  Receiver has a dull gunmetal gray and tan patina where color casehardening has been lost.  Stock has marks and dents consistent with age and use, with some damage to the checkering. Horn mountings have some insect damage. Rifle functions normally, as does the break-action lever. Bore good.

Checkered steel butt plate. In an original Winchester cardboard box blue, red and white box. Our consignor sent this carbine to Germany in 1957 and had it custom engraved by Friedr Wilm Heym with gold inlays.  Very fine work.

Equipped with a myriad of sighting options, the rifle includes a set of three express-style, Buckhorn leaf sights, an adjustable tang peep sight and a globe front sight with removable post inserts. The rifle also mounts a Winchester A5 scope, that appears to factory installed, as the barrel markings on the rifle are offset on the angled flats to be visible with the scope mounted. A lovely .22 target rifle that you could use in many different ways.

Beautifully bank note engraved boxlock frame.  Top lever is engraved, engraved triggerguard. Engraved takedown lever on the forearm.  Finely checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip buttstock with checkered steel buttplate.  Also has sling swivel eyelets, one on the barrels, and the other in the stock.  The following is information obtained from official Rigby records No.16756, 26 July 1900, Bramley Firth "Class C hamless top snap action anson - Deeley .350 Special Rifle double", 26" barrels, 14 5/8 LOP, 8lbs 12 oz, "Sighted 1.2.300 yards std 2 lfs flush." Our consignor purchased this rifle from John Rigby Company in 1959 while serving in the United States Army as an Officer and pilot.  Has its original canvas and oak casing.

Condition: The barrels retain most of the original blue finish. Little wear if any. Frame with nice silvery gray and mottled look, some colors in the protected areas. Overall excellent metal.  Stock and forearm with the original oil finish. Checkering has a couple of small areas where there are some flat spots. Overall this rifle is excellent for a vintage classic Rigby Rifle. The canvas case has some staining so going on the outside of the case, has a dirty look.  some loose ends that could be restored. The lining is dirty looking, which could be properly cleaned. Label inside the lid is in fair condition with some small areas missing. Most of the label is intact. Most of the tools are still in the case. Plus two snap blocks. It also has a tag from the Provost Marshall when the consignor brought it back from London in June of 1959.  A great Classic double rifle coming from an old collection and fresh to the market.

Austrian proof on angled right flat of chamber with W.N Austrian Eagle and 1917 date. A very scarce Austrian contract piece delivered from standard war time commercial production, only about 50,000 were acquired by Austria ca 1915-1917 and finding them today is a challenge. The original .455 cylinder is included. It is un-cut, remains in .455 and is numbered to the gun.

Retailer marked on the top of the barrel: Robert Jones 6 Chapel Street / Opposite the Exchange Liverpool. Side folding ejector rod, 4th model style lock work. An early Tranter cartridge revolver in a period case, lined with blue baize cloth with two lidded compartments, containing old cleaning patches and several Peters .32 S&W cartridges which are not correct for this pistol and should not be shot in it.

Condition: Very good. Retains some blue, the rest a plum brown patina. Mechanically functional, good bore, fine grip. Case good, missing the lock escutcheon.

Engraved locks, set triggers, silver-plated furniture. Checkered Walnut stocks with empire butts. Backstrap slotted for shoulder stock. 

Condition: One of the pistols has most of the blue finish. The other has some of the blue finish, just lightly thinning. One hammer is a replacement and matches the other very well. Both locks have a slightly dulled mottled finish.  Markings are sharp and crisp. One ramrod has been replaced. Stocks are excellent. Furniture retains most of the silver finish. Overall very good.

7.65mm Borchard, caliber, 7.5" barrel, S/N 196. Marked on top of the chamber Waffenfabrink, Lowe, Berlin, on the right side of the frame is marked System Borchardt Patent. German proofs on the barrel and left side of the frame, crown over "G" ;crown over "B" and a crown over "U". Marked on the top of the toggle D.R.P. No 75837. Bottom of magazine numbered 380. All other numbers match. Finished in blue with straw finish on some parts. Checkered walnut grips. Original wood stock with cheek piece. Original leather holster.

Condition: This pistol retains most of the bright original blue finish. Some very light wear to the high edges.   Most of the straw finish remains just lightly faded. Leather holster has some minor crazing, but very pliable and in very good condition. The stock is very good, the cheek piece is missing the head of a small pin that releases the cheek piece from the stock. Overall an excellent example of Lowe-made Borchardt Pistol.

8mm, 24" octagonal barrel with matted rib, S/N 3289. Blued and case hardened finish, walnut stock with checkered pistol grip, raised cheek rest, grooved hard rubber buttplate and a smooth Schnabel forend. Barrel with Grundig maker mark and Dresden location.  Receiver case hardened and engraved in tight foliate scrolls, checkered, flat bolt handle, engraved magazine floor plate. Claw style scope mounts also engraved, two-leaf barrel sight, ramp front sight with blade. German silver escutcheon in toe with crown over the initials "U.S." Sling swivels, leather sling. An outstanding and high quality stalking rifle made by Carl Grundig who operated between WWI and WWII, with this likely being a souvenir "bring back" from the latter conflict. Caliber is 8mm, but cartridge is undetermined, probably some form of large rimmed Grundig "wildcat". 8x57 is too small for the chamber and will not stay on the extractor. A chamber casting would be needed to get this rifle back out in the field.

A nice model 1895 rifle that is not usually encountered with an octagonal barrel.

The Model 68 was offered with a 5-power scope in .22 S,L, & LR or .22 WRF on March 9, 1937, with deliveries in July/August. 2.75-power scopes may have been offered for a short time but the Model 68 peep sight configuration caused the bases to be too far forward for optimum scope location. The Model 68 with standard iron sights and with see-through bases attached but without scope was priced at $6.85 in 1938. The 5-power scope cost $6.40. The factory-scoped Model 68 was discontinued in 1939. While production numbers for the factory-scoped Model 68 are not available, it appears that no more were produced than the factory-scoped Model 67 (387). This circa 1937-1939 .22 WRF Model 68 is equipped with a 5-power scope. Note the grooved forearm, the length of the scope, the see-through bases, and the spacing between the bases. The serial number is below the wood line. There are no proofs.

Produced during the first full year of production for this model, the gun is accompanied by its factory letter that states it was received in the warehouse on January 15, 1907 and shipped the same day. The gun was returned on May 29, 1908 and was subsequently received in the warehouse on January 5, 1912 and shipped again on January 11, 1912. the letter confirms the sight configuration and notes that the gun is a "good shooter," suggesting that its initial trip from Winchester may have been as a factory demonstrator that was subsequently returned and sold.

Winchester manufactured about 34,000 Model 1893 shotguns between June 1893 and June 1897. The Model 1893 was designed for black powder loads, and when the Model 1897 was introduced, Winchester offered to trade a Model 1897 for any Model 1893 returned to the factory. The Model 1893 is especially hard to find in fine or better condition.

Condition: Fine. Retains most of the original blue, which is thinning and fading, with scattered flecks of surface oxidation and some more serious flecks of scattered pinprick pitting as well. The receiver retains slightly more bright blue than the thinning barrel. All markings remain crisp and sharp. Mechanically functional, bright bore with some light pitting near the muzzle, stock with scattered light handling marks and minor dings.

Blued finish, walnut stock. The Model 40 used the same basic operating system as the Model 1911 and suffered from many of the same defects. It was only produced for a couple of years, and Winchester would give a new Model 12 to anyone who returned a Model 40. Most Model 40s were standard field guns. This Model 40 is slightly later than the Model 40 Skeet offered in this auction, as its Cutts Compensator has 6 vents rather than 12.

6mm Lee (.236 USN), 24" barrel, S/N 11670 (mfg. ca 1898), Blued finish, smooth pistol-gripped walnut stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap and checkered metal buttplate. Smooth, finger-grooved Schnabel forend. Elevation adjustable Buckhorn rear sight and pinned blade front sight. Of the 20,186 Lee models produced, only about 1,700 Sporting Rifles were manufactured. The majority of the Lee models were muskets for the U.S. Navy. This Lee Straight Pull Sporting rifle is circa early 1898. It has the extractor which is often missing from the Lee, and is a very scarce sporting variant of Spanish American War era US military long arm.

Condition: Fine. Retains most of the blued finish, with the receiver thinning more than the barrel. All markings crisp and clear, mechanically functional, fine bore. Stock with nicks and dings.

.22LR, 24" barrel, no S/N. Blued finish, smooth walnut pistol-gripped stock with checkered Winchester buttplate, smooth forend. This very rarely seen Model 67 features a 24" barrel with miniature target boring, no. 81 bead front and 94B bead middle sight. This boring, which was approximately 3/8" in diameter from the muzzle to a depth of about 12", was authorized in April 1940. Production stopped at the start of WWII. The barrel is marked "FOR SHOT ONLY". This is an excellent example of an extremely scarce Winchester rifle that was only produced for a short period of time and is rarely encountered in such fine condition.

By the time it was offered in 1919, other less expensive Winchester .22 LR rifles were competing with it.

12 gauge, 24" barrel, S/N 1226 (mfg. ca Jan. 1940). Blued finish, checkered pistol gripped stock. The Model 40 used the same operating system as the Model 1911 and suffered from many of the same defects. It was only produced for a couple of years, and Winchester would give a new Model 12 to anyone who returned a Model 40. Most Model 40s were standard field guns. A limited number of Skeet guns featuring a checkered pistol grip stock and forearm, a rubber pistol grip cap, and a special barrel with an integral shoulder forged on the muzzle end for the attachment of a Cutts Compensator were produced. This gun has an early compensator with 12 vents.

Some 13,500 were produced ca 1901-1920. Finding a 1901 shotgun with any original finish can be very difficult.

.22 S/L/XL, 21" barrel, no S/N. Blued finish, smooth straight-gripped walnut stock with crescent iron buttplate and scroll triggerguard. Elevation adjustable rear leaf sight, dovetailed blade front sight with steel bead. The Winchester Junior Rifle Corps was started in mid-1918, and at its peak had over 100,000 members in several countries. It operated into the 1930s. Winchester offered a Junior Rifle Corps Range Kit which included either a Model 1902 (Kit No. 1) or a Model 1904 (Kit No. 2) rifle and accessories including four boxes of Junior Rifle Corps .22 Short cartridges, a cartridge pouch and belt, rifle case, 50 Junior Rifle Corps targets, a tube of Winchester Gun Grease, a tube of Winchester Rust Remover, a can of Winchester Gun Oil, cheese cloth for cleaning, a wire cleaning rod, and a "handsome mission-finish wood case fitted with leather handle." This gun retains part of the rarely encountered range kit, including the Winchester marked wood carrying case and has some of its accessories, including a partially used tube of "gun grease" in its cardboard box, a wrapped tube of "rust remover" in its cardboard box and an empty can of "gun oil". A very rare set for the advanced Winchester 22 collector that is rarely seen for sale.

Condition: Good to very good. Retains traces of bright blue, with most of the finish thinned, worn and faded with some scattered surface oxidation. Markings remain crisp and clear. Mechanically functional, good bore is somewhat dirty and lightly pitted. Stock with scattered minor bumps, dings and handling marks. Case and accessories are good to very good as well, showing handling wear and use, but very nice considering the set is approaching 100 years old and was likely used by a youngster during its working life.
