There is a domed lift out tray with purple velvet cover, which disguises a lower tray, and there is a paper label on the underside which indicates that the trunk was created from an original cigar box of Chas. W. Fenderson & Co, State of Maine. Very good condition. Circa 1880.

Extraordinary ivory silk costume with miniature pearl decorations for 24" lady doll. $800/1200 Lot #11 (Sale Order 11 of 62) Luxury ivory silk two piece gown features a fitted bodice with low-cut neckline and puffed sleeves above a flat-front skirt with gathered panniers and an elaborately constructed bustle which forms into a demi-train. The bodice has grommet-edged lacing at the back, and is elaborately decorated with superb silk flowers, ruffled Alencon lace, clusters of tiny seed pearls, and with unusual scallop edging at the bottom of the train. The train is heavily padded for luxury, and there is a matching fan with wooden blades and silk flowers. The gown is presented on original muslin body with wax limbs, and includes original undergarments. Excellent condition. Circa 1875.

Of soft cream silky mohair, the fully lined coat has three brass buttons with raised design of a bear holding a flag and the word "North bear coat", along with matching cap. Very good condition. Early 1900s, the buttons suggest the coat was inspired by Robert Peary reaching the North Pole in 1909 which became a cultural phenomena.
