Each is of woven straw with distinctive upturned edge at both front and back, and decorated with velvet and silk banding. The hats were designed to be flattering both coming and going, thus being known as "A deux bonjours" (two hello's). Excellent condition, few red fabric wears on one. Circa 1870.
