1955-1958 - realistic and scale-like replica of the real life Trainmaster - standard features include; dual motors, Magnetraction, three-position E-unit, illuminated headlights and number boards at each end, dual operating couplers, functional horn, wire hand railings, and an ornamental horn on each side - to include factory box - like new condition - Important Note: While engineering the model "Trainmaster," Lionel made a mistake of accidentally making the body slightly too long for the frame. When the body was attached to the frame, the pressure from the screw being fully tightened caused a stress fracture from the screw hole down to the bottom edge. That stress fracture can be found on both ends of this locomotive. A Lionel FM without at least one crack is most-assuredly a counterfeit item.
