WELCOME TO THE AUCTION Lot #1 (Sale Order 1 of 560) Just to Reiterate from our terms and conditions: I do my best to estimate the grade/condition of the coins, but please note, unless specifically mentioned in the description, I do not guarantee grade or condition. I DO ALWAYS GUARANTEE 100% AUTHENTICITY, on an immediate buyback including any premium paid. But please understand, if you win a coin and receive it and send it out to one of the grading companies and it comes back graded less than I estimated or "genuine but Ungradeable", we will not buy back that coin. No refunds will be issued. Please understand this and look at the large pictures and make your own decision on the grade/condition. I do my best to give you my best estimate and your repeat attendance at my auctions is what I strive for, so I always attempt to give my best description/estimate of the coins being auctioned.

***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1889 & 'cc', Better than average circ (fc) Lot #177 (Sale Order 120 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1889 & 'cc', Better than average circ. Great Original Roll of Morgan Dollars. The roll is held in an old "Steel Strong Automatic" Wrapper Dated from 1921. The Roll is also faintly stamped "Banker Trust of Philadelphia, Central City Office, Walnut Street at Juniper". I researched that name and the Bank closed in the post-Crash of '29 Depression period (my research showed that it failed on Dec 22, 1930). The Two ends showing are the obverse of an 1889, and the other end has an 'cc' Carson City Mint Reverse. We received this incredible consignment from a private collector while at the Baltimore show. The consignee gave us his father's entire estate hoard of shotgun rolled coins. We have had great feedback on the rolls so far. Your choice to open the shotgun roll or leave it as is, but if you do open the Roll, please let us know what you find. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away lot.

1863 fourth issue 15 cent fractional currency Grades Choice AU (fc) Lot #207 (Sale Order 147 of 560) 1863 fourth issue 15 cent fractional currency Grades Choice AU. Fractional or postage currency has a rich history. At the beginning of the Civil War people starting hoarding coins for their precious metal content. Coins became difficult to find because of the hoarding. People started to try to use stamps instead of coins as a means of commerce. The government decided to help ease the hoarding issue by issuing “paper coins” also known as postage currency or fractional currency. Fractional currency was first issued on August 21, 1862 and they were last issued on February 15, 1876. Fractional currency is physically smaller than other United States money. It also does not have a serial number. These notes were printed between July 14, 1869 and February 16, 1875. Each note will be signed by Allison and Spinner. All fourth issue fractional notes have a red or green treasury seal. They were the first fractional series to incorporate that design element. This is also the first series to issue a fifteen cent fractional note. A prior fifteen cent note had been designed, but it was never issued.

***Auction Highlight*** 1915-s Pan Pac Old Commem 50c Graded Select Unc By USCG (fc) Lot #229 (Sale Order 163 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1915-s Panama Pacific Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded Select Unc By USCG. Exceptionally Rare Commemorative. The Pan Pac was Minted Along with 4 Other Coins to Commemorate the Completion of the Panama Canal and Distributed at the Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco which also Celebrated the Renewal of San Francisco since the Great Fire. When Examining the Pan Pac Half Dollar, Note that there is a Problem with Pan-Pac Halves in its Strike: Weakness is often Evident on Columbia’s Head, Cap, Arm and Body, also on the Eagle's Breast Feathers and Claws. Occasionally, Coins are seen with a Rim Indentation Near the Periphery on Each Side; this is a Mint Caused Problem and Should Not Be Factored Into the Grade. When Grading Lightly Circulated Examples, Friction is First Evident on Columbia's Shoulder and on the Eagle's Breast. Spectacular and ultra rare 1915-s Pan Pac commemorative. One of the rarest and most coveted commemoratives of the old series. This particular example has spectacular luster, a very strong strike with strong breast feathers on the eagle, and light golden toning. I give this coin my highest recommendation. A Corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin. You may not find its equal.

KL#461, FR#910. Teddy Roosevelt inspired gold coins with iconic American images, and this first-ever 1914 $10 Federal Reserve note did the same thing for paper money. The reverse features farming and industry, the two drivers of the economy at the time. The farmers are using real 'horsepower,' and the factory symbolizes American power and ingenuity. This classic note is rarely seen and makes a great addition to any collection. Check out the bold blue Federal Reserve Bank seal on the front. These are part of the last series of large-size 'horseblanket' notes.

***Auction Highlight*** 1886-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Choice+ Unc By USCG (fc) Lot #236 (Sale Order 169 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1886-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Choice+ Unc By USCG. Highlight of the entire Months auctions. Far and away the finest 1886-o we have ever had the priviledge to bring to auction. Spectacular, perfect luster. Superb strike especially for a New Orleans minted Morgan. Blast white with a superb satin like appearane. High well rounded cheek. While the 3rd tier is not consistant with their grading, sometimes they do get it right. This is one of those times. In fact due to its rarity and high value, I think the grader may have pulled his punch as this coin looks Gem to me ms65. I give this coin my highest recommendation. A Corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin. You will be hard pressed to find its equal.

***Auction Highlight*** 1921-p Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Choice Unc PL By USCG (fc) Lot #258 (Sale Order 185 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1921-p Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Choice Unc PL By USCG. Spectacular find. The 1921 Morgan dollar is unknown in DMPL and a numismatic rarity in proof like. The example at hand is a spectacular Choice Unc proof like example. The fields on both the obverse and reverse are fully reflective and look like liquid metal. Additionally it is a very strong strike, something not found on a 1921-p Morgan. The coin has virtually the same strike as the rest of the series. Far and away the nicest 1921-p Morgan and the rarest we have ever had to bring to auction. I give this coin my highest recommendation. A Corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin. You may not find its equal.

***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1879 & 'cc', Better than average circ (fc) Lot #265 (Sale Order 190 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1879 & 'cc', Better than average circ. The Two ends showing are the obverse of an 1879, and the other end has an 'cc' Carson City Mint Reverse.

***Auction Highlight*** Original 1953 United States Mint Set (fc) Lot #273 (Sale Order 198 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Original 1953 United States Mint Set. Very rare original 1953 Mint Set. This is a 30 coin set and the set includes two examples of each coin made by the U.S. government for the year. This set is packaged in three cardboard holders, with each holder representing a different mint. There were two holes for each denomination, where the coins were placed displaying the obverse and reverse designs. The relatively high sulfur content in the packaging lends to heavy toning on these early mint sets. This 'mint set toning' often carries significant premiums. This particular set is all original and has beautiful toning on many of the coins. Please see the pictures. A very PQ, original set.

***Auction Highlight*** 1909-s Indian Cent 1c Graded Choice AU/BU Slider By USCG (fc) Lot #331 (Sale Order 253 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1909-s Indian Cent 1c Graded Choice AU/BU Slider By USCG. According to Jaime Hernandez, "The 1909-S Indian cent has the lowest mintage in the entire circulation strike Indian cent series. Only the 1877 and 1909-S Indian cent have a mintage lower than 1 million coins in the entire series. For many years, the 1908-S and 1909-S have also proved to be very popular amongst collectors, as they are the only two Indian cents which bear an S mint mark." Key date to the Indian cent series. The 1909-s is the lowest minted Indian cent in the entire series, but for the 1877 is considered the second rarest of the series. Very attractive chocolate brown color. Great eye appeal. But I think au53 might be a more accurate grade.

***Auction Highlight*** Original 1951 United States Mint Set (fc) Lot #343 (Sale Order 262 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Original 1951 United States Mint Set. Very rare original 1951 Mint Set.

The folks who have gotten them have also said that they are better than average circulated condition and all nice Indian cents. ***Auction Highlight*** 1814 Plain 4 Classic Head Large Cent 1c Graded xf+ By USCG (fc) Lot #348 (Sale Order 267 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1814 Plain 4 Classic Head Large Cent 1c Graded xf+ By USCG. Highlight of the entire auction. While we have brought a few 1814 Classic Head large cents to auction before, most have been in the vg and under category. Today we are proud to be able to offer one of the scarcest large cent. The Classic Head 1814 plain 4 in nearly AU condition. Terrific detail throughout all the devices. Sharp well formed stars. Sharp denticles. Some luster remains in the protected areas. A truly extraordinary find. Please think carefully about a maximum bid as we will probably not be offering one of these for quite some time. Possibly your only opportunity this year to get one. Just for the record and for your information, the Classic Head large cent was only made from 1808-1814 and everyone of those dates is over 4 figures in xf40. A Corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin.

1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau Grades vf++ Lot #363 (Sale Order 278 of 560) 1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau Grades vf++. 1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau, FR2300. It was the darkest days of World War II, just after Pearl Harbor. Everybody in Hawaii was sitting on pins and needles. Were the Japanese preparing a massive invasion of the islands? If they did invade, they could use the millions of dollars in currency on the islands to buy war material. To thwart this, these $1 Federal Reserve Notes were sent to the islands. Each has a large HAWAII printed on the reverse. If the Japanese did invade, the currency would be demonetized. After the threat passed, most of these "Hawaii" Notes were destroyed. Today they're hard to find.

Very scarce. With an original mintage of over 13.5 million; PCGS estimates that only 4000 survive in all grades.

***Auction Highlight*** 1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Graded Choice+ Unc By USCG (fc) Lot #375 (Sale Order 288 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Graded Choice+ Unc By USCG. The 27-p is the big sleeper of numismatics in my opinion. It has the 2nd lowest mintage in the whole Peace dollar series. Lower than the 34-s, the 21-p, yet it does not command its proper value. Good coin to own multiple of and save, in my opinion, but if you've been coming to our auctions for a while you will have seen that this has always been my opinion. Dynamite near Gem example. Super luster. Great eye appeal.

***Auction Highlight*** 1916-p Standing Liberty Quarter 25c Graded AU, Almost Unc By USCG (fc) Lot #388 (Sale Order 299 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1916-p Standing Liberty Quarter 25c Graded AU, Almost Unc By USCG. Highlight of every highlight. Up for auction is a legendary coin. This coin is so rare that until this example, I had never seen one or held one in my hand. The 1916-p Standing Liberty quarter was made in incredibly low mintages. It is one of the most sought after numismatic rarities in all U.S. coinage. You rarely if ever see one at auction. As a benchmark, this coin in pr1 (thats a grade, poor1) wholesales for over $1,000. The definition of poor 1 is no date, virtually no devices, but you can identify what coin it was. The example being auctioned today is a near uncirculated example with full detail in all the devices. Please look at the big pictures and consult the price guide and auction results before placing a maximum bid as this may be your only opportunity ever to own one. A corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin. You may not find its equal.

***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1895 & 's', Better than average circ (fc) Lot #417 (Sale Order 319 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1895 & 's', Better than average circ. The Two ends showing are the obverse of an 1895, and the other end has an 's' San Francisco Mint Reverse.

1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau Grades Gem CU Lot #435 (Sale Order 334 of 560) 1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau Grades Gem CU.

Dynamite proof like example of this Key date Morgan. The 1884-s is one of the most elusive coins in the series in uncirculated condition. This example has strongly reflective fields. Wonderful detail throughout all the devices. I highly recommend this coin. A Corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin.

1874 Indian Cent 1c Grades Select Unc RB (fc) Lot #449 (Sale Order 347 of 560) 1874 Indian Cent 1c Grades Select Unc RB. According to Jaime Hernandez from PCGS, The 1874 Indian Cent is somewhat of a scarcer issue. Semi key date that in circulated grades carries a premium over the type coins in the series. With an original mintage of over 14.2 million; PCGS estimated that only 6000 survive in all grades.

1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Select Unc Lot #451 (Sale Order 349 of 560) 1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Select Unc.

Incredibly rare and highly sought 1880-cc Carson City rev' 78. The 1880 Carson City would be the final use of the reverse of the original Morgan dollar series, produced in very short numbers. The reverse of '78 commands substantial premiums over the traditional reverse. This example is near mark free. All original with light toning. I give this coin my highest recommendation. A Corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin.

***Auction Highlight*** RARE Original 1952 United States Mint Set (fc) Lot #461 (Sale Order 358 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Original 1952 United States Mint Set. Very rare original 1952 Mint Set. This is a 30 coin set and the set includes two examples of each coin made by the U.S. government for the year. This set is packaged in three cardboard holders, with each holder representing a different mint. There were two holes for each denomination, where the coins were placed displaying the obverse and reverse designs. The high sulfur content of the paper and cardboard caused original sets stored in the packaging to develop unique toning. This 'mint set toning' often carries significant premiums. This particular set is all original and has beautiful toning on many of the coins. Please see the pictures. A very PQ, original set.

One of the Keys to the series. Blast white. Blazing luster. Superior eye appeal. A superb example. According to David Hall, from PCGS The 1932-s is the 2nd rarest of the Washington quarters. There are only two Washington quarters with mintages of under one million coins. The 1932-s has the lowest original mintage of 408,000. This coin is one of the most in-demand key dates of the 20th century. This is a date that has been sought after in all grades since the 1950's. Scarce in all grades. This particular example has light golden toning. It is all original. It is well struck.

***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1901 & 'p', Better than average circ (fc) Lot #473 (Sale Order 370 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1901 & 'p', Better than average circ. The Two ends showing are the obverse of a 1901, and the other end has an 'p' Philadelphia Mint Reverse.

***Auction Highlight*** 1834 Capped Bust Quarter 25c Graded AU, Almost Unc By USCG (fc) Lot #476 (Sale Order 373 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1834 Capped Bust Quarter 25c Graded AU, Almost Unc By USCG. Up for auction is a Capped Bust Quarter. The Capped Bust quarter series is much harder to locate than the half dollar series. The Quarter saw much more circulation in their time than the halves and very few survive today. Up for auction in this lot is a terrific 1834, but heavily over graded 1834 Capped Bust Quarter. I believe a grade of xf40 would be more appropriate. In addition, this ultra rare coin has a 45° CW (clockwise) rotated die.

1863 fourth issue 10 cent fractional currency Grades vf++ Lot #477 (Sale Order 374 of 560) 1863 fourth issue 10 cent fractional currency Grades vf++. Fractional or postage currency has a rich history. At the beginning of the Civil War people started hoarding coins for their precious metal content. Three cents, five cents, ten cents, twenty-five cents, and fifty cents notes were all issued. Fractional currency is physically smaller than other United States money. It also does not have a serial number. These notes were printed between July 14, 1869 and February 16, 1875. Each note was signed by Allison and Spinner. All fourth issue fractional notes have a red or green treasury seal. They were the first fractional series to incorporate that design element. Series of 1907 $5 "Woodchopper" Legal Tender Note Grades vf++ Lot #539 (Sale Order 430 of 560) Series of 1907 $5 "Woodchopper" Legal Tender Note Grades vf++. Although series of 1907 is written on the bill; Some bills were printed as late as 1927 and 1928. You can tell approximately when it was printed based on the signature combinations used by the signing treasury officials. The series of 1907 $5 bill was the last note of that denomination that Andrew Jackson was featured on. He later made an appearance on the ten dollar bill before being switched to the twenty dollar bill in 1928. The nickname for the 1907 $5 bill is the wood chopper. The note has the portrait of Andrew Jackson on the left hand side. The central image is that of a pioneer family moving west. A husband and wife are pictured with their young baby. There is also a hound dog in the frame. The man is holding an ax. This note has a red overprint. The treasury seal and serial numbers are printed in red ink. There is also a red V printed on the left hand side of the bill in red ink. As you can probably guess, that red V signifies the value as a Roman numeral.

***Auction Highlight*** Original 1947 United States Mint Set (fc) Lot #541 (Sale Order 432 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Original 1947 United States Mint Set. The first mint set ever issued and the only one to contain Walking Liberty Half dollars. Very rare original 1947 Mint Set. This is a 28 coin set and the set includes two examples of each coin made by the U.S. government for the year.

***Auction Highlight*** 1889-cc Graded by USCG (fc) Lot #575.5 (Sale Order 462 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1889-cc Graded by USCG. Highlight of the YEAR! By far the single rarest, most valuable coin Sandi and I have ever been able to bring to our little auction. Up for auction in this lot 575.5 is the King of the Carson City Morgans, the 1889-cc. There is no rarer Carson City Morgan dollar. Whenever we have been able to offer this date before, it has always been in G, VG, maybe even VF condition. I think once we were able to offer an AU50. Tonight we are able to offer a PQ select uncirculated example. As we all know the high point and the first spot of wear is the top of the breast feathers. I have provided you with multiple close ups of these virtually high relief, pristine breast feathers. The reverse has some beautiful toning, all original, testifying to the originality of this numismatic rarity. I have provided the best photos I can for you to make the best decision you can as an opportunity like these does not come twice. Even folks with ultra high end Gem sets of complete Morgan dollars generally only have at best the 1889-cc in AU. The coin trends $27,500 in just ms60 and $23,000 in au58. This example grades ms63+, ms63 trends $53,000 and ms64 trends $125,000. It doesn't get much higher end than this. Clearly this would be the centerpiece of anyone's collection. I wish you all GOOD LUCK for those of you who are able to make the attempt to secure it. I don't expect to be able to offer its like again anytime soon. Of course, my highest recommendation and of course, A Corey's pick, bid to win, don't let it get away coin if you have the means. I will tell you that it has been a true pleasure to have this coin on my desk for the last 3 weeks and that is where it is stil sitting. Additionally, I have probably shown the breast feathers to every pair of eyes that has walked by my desk since I have had this coin in hand.

***Auction Highlight*** Incredible Find, Uncirculated Morgan $1 Shotgun Roll 1889 & cc ends (fc) Lot #577 (Sale Order 464 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Incredible Find, Uncirculated Morgan $1 Shotgun Roll 1889 & cc ends . Great Original Brilliant Uncirculated Roll of Morgan Dollars. The Two ends showing are the obverse of a 1889, which looks ms64/65, and the other end has a 'cc' Carson City Mint Reverse, and also looking ms64/65.

1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau Grades vf++ Lot #579 (Sale Order 466 of 560) 1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau Grades vf++.

1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Select+ Unc (fc) Lot #591 (Sale Order 477 of 560) 1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Select+ Unc.

SCARCE 1935A $1 Silver Certificate, Yellow Seal North Africa Emergency WWII Note Grades xf+ (fc) Lot #602 (Sale Order 488 of 560) SCARCE 1935A $1 Silver Certificate, Yellow Seal North Africa Emergency WWII Note Grades xf+. This lot is for a North Africa WWII Emergency $1 Silver Certificate. This note has a yellow seal and blue serial numbers. Signatures Julian-Morgenthau, KL# 1610A, FR# 2306. In November 1942, American forces under Patton landed in North Africa and began the road to victory over Nazi Germany. They carried these emergency-issue yellow-sealed notes, specially produced for the Operation Torch invasion. Yellow-seal notes could be declared worthless if large quantities fell into enemy hands. A portrait of George Washington is on the front. A super example of this scarce and rare note.

***Auction Highlight*** 1877 Indian Cent 1c Graded vf++ By USCG (fc) Lot #611 (Sale Order 495 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** 1877 Indian Cent 1c Graded vf++ By USCG. The Key Date to the whole Indian Cent Series. According to Jaime Hernandez from PCGS, ‘The 1877 Indian Cent is unquestionably the most desirable coin in the entire circulation strike Indian Cent series. It is the second lowest mintage coin in the series, and only the 1909-S Indian cent has a lower mintage. Despite the 1877 Indian cent having the second lowest mintage in the series, it also survives in much smaller numbers than the 1909-S Indian cent. This is mainly due to the lack of coins being collected in 1877 compared to 1909. There is only one reverse die confirmed as striking all existing 1877 Indian cents. However, if there was only one reverse die employed to strike all (877,000)1877 Indian cents, then this lone die should have sustained major planchet flaws when striking such a large mintage. Surprisingly, this is not the case since 1877 cents show no traces of a damaged die. Therefore, it is strongly believed that the mintage of 877,000 coins struck, is actually a highly inflated figure. Terrific problem free example. Partial Liberty. Nice color. A Corey's pick, bid to win coin.

***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1889 & 'cc', Better than average circ (fc) Lot #625 (Sale Order 507 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1889 & 'cc', Better than average circ.

***Auction Highlight*** SCARCE 1934 Twenty $20 Dollar Hawaii Federal Reserve Note Grades xf (fc) Lot #629 (Sale Order 511 of 560) ***Auction Highlight*** SCARCE 1934 Twenty $20 Dollar Hawaii Federal Reserve Note San Francisco Grades xf. This is for a very RARE series 1934 Twenty $20 Dollar Hawaii Federal Reserve Note San Francisco. FR# 2304, KL#2523, signatures Julian-Morgenthau. This is an 80+ year old historic World War II Emergency $20 note.

1871 Indian Cent 1c Grades g, good Lot #633 (Sale Order 515 of 560) 1871 Indian Cent 1c Grades g, good. Quoting PCGS :"The 1871 Indian Cent is one of the lowest mintage issues of the series. In fact, from 1859 - 1876 it is the lowest mintage coin in the Indian Cent series. What's even worse is that during the early 1870's the Mint was melting a lot of previously issued cents, including many 1871 cents. Making the coin become scarcer. A semi key date to the series with possibly about 5,000 examples in existence in all grades combined."

1932-d Washington Quarter 25c Grades g, good Lot #668 (Sale Order 537 of 560) 1932-d Washington Quarter 25c Grades g, good. According to David Hall, from PCGS The 1932-D is by far the rarest of the Washington quarters. There are only two Washington quarters with mintages of under one million coins. The 1932-D has an original mintage of 436,800. This coin has been highly sought after in all grades for the past 60 years. This is one of the key dates of the Washington quarter series and one of the better known rare coins of the twentieth century. Very scarce Key Date. This is the key date to the seies, even more scarce than the 1932-s. Scarce in all grades.

1863 fourth issue 15 cent fractional currency Grades vf++ Lot #675 (Sale Order 542 of 560) 1863 fourth issue 15 cent fractional currency Grades vf++.
