Marks: 138 (small numbers at lower back neck). Generally excellent. Germany, mystery maker, circa 1880.

15" Very Rare German Porcelain Bonnet Lady by with Maker's Mark by K.P.M. $1200/1600 Lot #12 (Sale Order 12 of 69) Porcelain shoulderhead of adult lady, black sculpted and painted hair drawn away from center part and captured under a snugly fitted porcelain bonnet that is decorated with a purple ruffled brim and throat ribbons, colorful purple flowers and sienna ribbons at the nape, painted large oval blue eyes, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower arms and legs, wearing antique silk gown and undergarments. Generally excellent excepting rubs on right brow and cheek. Marks: KPM (inside shoulder plate). Konigliche Porzellan Manufaktur, circa 1850. An exceptionally rare model enhanced by wonderful bonnet decorations.

20"l. German wooden dollhouse castle room of Ludwig II of Bavaria. $1200/1600 Lot #32 (Sale Order 32 of 69) x 13" x 13". A five-sided wooden room with yellow painted exterior trimmed with maroon and green, has interior walls with richly lithographed scenes to simulate castle architecture. The center panel has "paintings" of four Bavarian kings of the 19th century, highlighted by King Ludwig II as a young boy, along with his grandfather, his father and his brother. There is a short curved staircase with spindled railing and a gallery designed for dramatic entrance to the room. Included are various furnishings, and, notably, a metal bust of Ludwig II along with a framed image of the famous castle Schloss Neuschwanstein that Ludwig II so famously commissioned during his reign, situated on a mountaintop overlooking his childhood home. A gentleman dollhouse doll in military costume stands in the room. Excellent condition, exterior is over-painted. Germany, late 19th-century, a rare room with fascinating historical connections.

A wooden-framed gazebo with two benches and original cotton awning is decorated with a garland of flowers. Along with matching bench, chair and table, and with additional flowers, paper mache gnome, tin watering can and rare aquarium. Included is an early all-bisque doll with swivel head, painted features, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed limbs, painted yellow ankle boots, and wearing her original factory costume, marked 189. Marks: L.B. (key) (Jumeau checkmarks at back of head). Leopold Lambert, with Jumeau bisque head, when wound music plays, she turns her head side to side and alternately moves arms up and down. Generally excellent, the accessories (fan, hankie) are missing. Circa 1890.
