The Mountain Nyala is not so rare, but finding a set of Horns for sell is; because you must go to Ethiopia and spend $ 30,000.00 to $ 50,000.00 on a two or three week Safari to hunt this animal and shots can be in excess of 300 yards or more, and many hunters are not lucky and go home without one. When success is reached the Hunters almost always do a shoulder mount or full body mount. Finding just the Horns is like winning the Lottery.

The Southeastern Ibex is just one of four sub-species from Spain. Ibex are a wild mountainous Goat type of animal and in Spain they have the Gredos, Beceite, Rhonda, and the Southeastern. All four are named for the Mountain Ranges that they live on. This mount is clean and in excellent condition with superior quality taxidermy. This is a mature male with better than average size horns.

Massive Shed Whitetail Deer Antlers

Lot #59 (Sale Order 58 of 286)

The circumference at the smallest place between the burrs and the brow tine on these antlers is 8 1/8 x 7 6/8 which is kinda like a baseball bat. The right antler weighs 3 lbs. and 10 oz. It has 8 points and gross scores 80 1/8. The left antler weighs 3 lbs. and 4 oz. It has 12 points and gross scores 97 6/8. With a carefully estimated inside spread this Rack would score 197 5/8 gross on the Buck head. The antlers have good natural color and are in excellent condition. This set of Sheds was from High Fence Farm Buck. I think the preserve was in Ohio but we are not absolutely sure about that. Total weight on these antlers is 6 lbs. and 14 oz.

This matching and thick pair of Whitetail Deer Sheds gross scores 232. They have a really great natural color and have unique main beams with tips that curl downwards like drop tines. Towards the ends of this long curly main beams the C-4 measurements are 6 5/8 x 7 inches around! Also check out the forked brow tines and all of the nice beading down towards the burrs. The total weight of this set is 6 lbs. and 8oz. The right antler weighs 3 lbs. and 4 oz. The left weighs 3 lbs. and 8 oz. Right 107 and left 103 with a carefully estimated inside spread of 22 inches this set on the Deer was probably better than 232. We do not know where these Sheds are from but they probably came from High Fence Deer Preserve or Farm.

The feathers are raising and starting to spread but are not quite there yet. This mount was done with the real head and not a rubber or fiberglass one.

Boone & Crockett North Dakota Whitetail Deer Rack with scoresheet

Lot #105 (Sale Order 104 of 286)

This Buck was taken near Minot North Dakota in 1949. The old mount had seen its day and the rack was removed. Someone had put a heavy coat of shellac on the antlers thinking it would protect and make the antlers look better. Wrong. The antlers are just fine as they are and most antler buyers prefer no stain, wax, shellac, or painting of any kind. We took some very fine high grade sandpaper along with lacquer thinner and went to work on this rack for hours and believe we have it back to or close to as natural as possible. The skull plate is solid and this Buck can be scored for the All Time Record Book as a pick up since do not know who harvested it. It had a N.D. 1949 Deer License tied to it when we got it. Now about the measurements; this Buck is a net 173 2/8 typical which will make the All Time Book. He is a 6 x 6 with a 19 2/8 outside spread and 17 2/8 inside spread. Right Antler scored 80 3/8 and the left went 83 5/8 for a total gross score of 181 2/8. After 8 inches of deductions the rack net scores 173 2/8. It takes 170 net for the All Time Book. This is a true World Class Wild Whitetail Deer Rack.

This is a Charcaroles Megalodon Tooth from the Miocene epoch. In other words it?s a monster Shark tooth from thousands of years ago found by divers off the coast of South Carolina. This tooth measures 5-1/2 inches long. Scientist and Paleontologist say that for every inch of tooth there was 10 feet of Shark so this one came from a 55 foot long monster. These teeth rarely get over this size.

This is a fantastic pair of palmated double drop sheds recovered from a Deer hunting Preserve. The right antler scores 82 5/8 and the left scores 81 3/8 inches. This set of antlers has good color and no rodent chews. There are no weather cracks or repairs.

This is an average size Grizzly Bear mounted in a standing pose with a curios look on the Bears face. The Bear has a fantastic coat of golden brown has with long sharp claws. He stands from the floor to the top of his head 6 foot even. The Bear is leaning forward with knees bent and back slumping. The Bears nose is pointed down so this why a Bear that squared in the field over 7 feet stands in this position at only 6 feet. From the bottom of his feet to his ear tip is 5 foot 7-1/2 inches. The base is 21-1/2 inches and 38 inches across. The mount is in excellent condition with well above average taxidermy quality.

The right antler of this giant Buck has 19 points and weighs 4 lbs. & 7 oz. The left antler has 15 points and weighs 3 lbs. & 9oz. The pair is a total of 8 lbs. even. The Buck had a 5 x 5 main Frame with 24 Non-typical points. Right side grossed 143 2/8 and the left side 120 2/8 inches. With a carefully estimated 24 inches inside spread the score comes up 287 4/8 gross. The rack has good natural color and no rat chews. This pair of Sheds were brought to a big antler sell from a hunting Preserve up North. The strange thing about this pair is the Buck must have died from natural causes shortly after shedding his left antler because the right antler has a piece of his skull still attached to it. Of course this small piece of skull can be sawed off and the antlers mounted to a artificial skull plate. Then a nice big Buck cape can be found and this rack mounted with it to make a fantastic huge trophy shoulder mount.

This big Piebald Buck was estimated to be 5 ... to 6 ... years old and was harvested in Ohio. A Piebald is a cross between an Albino and a regular colored Whitetail Deer. Of course Albinos and Piebalds do not live very long unfortunately because the white hair is like a target painted on them but this particular Buck was the exception. As you can see he was in his prime with a huge body and gorgeous markings. The rack is a 6 x 6 Typical in the 150s range. A good Buck in most Hunters eyes. The taxidermy is very good and the Buck has a real natural pose and a lifelike appearance. The mount as well as the habitat base are also in excellent condition. Here is a good opportunity for a rare type of Deer.

This is a 15 to 20 year old Rug. Not new by any means but still in pretty good shape. The hair is good with no slipping or brittle ends breaking. The sewing and head mount are still structurally sound. The felt is faded in some areas and the Bear was not a great one for rugging to start with as he had some soft rubs because he was harvested in the late Spring season. We will grade him a solid 7 on a 1 to 10 scale. The rug is 6 foot 2 inches long from the tip of the nose to the tip of the back feet and 5 foot 7 inches from tip of nose to the tip of the tail. He is 5 foot 8 inches from tip of the front paw to the tip of other paw. The face has a good expression.

African Chobe Bushbuck shoulder mount

This is a above average size trophy. The Chobe Bushbuck is like the Limpopo Bushbuck as in they are named after the Rivers they live by. The Chobe lives North of the South African Limpopo Bushbuck in Zimbabwe and is a lighter chestnut brown color. Hunting Bushbucks can be a real challenge. The move slowly in and out nearby and have eyes, ears, and nose, like a Whitetail Deer. They also Bark like a small dog when danger is coming to warn other Bushbucks and wildlife in their area. This mount is clean, smoke free, and in very good condition with a little better than average taxidermy quality.

This type of Bear used his long claws to dig for roots and scratch open dry rotten trees for grubs. He dug the ground for Ground Squirrels and hunted hard for what he could catch. The larger Coastal Brown Bears are common to this type lazy beach combers and fish eaters. The interior Grizzly, though a little smaller is a hard worker. This one came of Alaska and has a Top Notch coat of hair and beautiful long claws. He squared just a hair over 8-1/2 feet and he is a Boone and Crockett Record. The taxidermy is excellent and the mount is clean, smoke free, and in mint condition. This is about as good a Grizzly Bear as will ever find. The mount is 7 foot 6 inches high from the ground to the top of his head. The loss of height is due to flat feet , bend of the knees, curvature of the back, and nose bent down to ground level. Unfortunately this Antelopes basal measurements were just average. If they were 2 inches better this Prairie Goat would have made the Record Book. This mount has very good taxidermy quality for the time period with good hair and tanning. This is still a special trophy Pronghorn.

This monster 148 lb. Skunk was harvested a couple years ago by a local Hunter from Fort Worth. He was hunting the Bar Ditches alongside the Farm Roads west of town around midnight right after a big rain storm. He said the big ones only come out when their Den gets wet and only move around about midnight. The Hunters taxidermist was quoted saying (He was gonna raise prices for mounting Skunks from this area).

This Grants Gazelle measures a score of 70 7/8. His horns are 27 6/8 x 27 5/8 inches long. The bases are 7 6/8 x 7 6/8 inches around. This Grants was harvested August 7, 1964 near Lake Natron in Masailand, Northern Tanzania. Since we do not know who the hunter was the trophy would be listed in the picked-up section of the Records. The mount is in great overall condition for its age with no shedding. The taxidermy is average.

These Sheds came from a Whitetail Preserve. The right antler weighs 6 ... lbs. and has 30 points. The left antler weighs 6 ... lbs. and has 24 points. The outside spread on this Buck was estimated 35 inches wide and the inside 23 ... inches. The rack was scored four times by four different measurers from 390 to 400. We got 396. The next guy will score something a little different. We have a big Canadian cape if you want it mounted.

The mount is still very structurally sound and in excellent condition. The taxidermy is very good for that time period.

World Record Hunters Antelope (Hirola) shoulder mount

At last time we checked; 6 years ago their was only two herds of these magnificent Antelopes living along the Banks of the Tana River in Kenya. Their was a total of a little more than 600. Hopefully this number has grown the past 6 years. We have kept this trophy dear to our hearts as we know Kenya is closed to hunting and the Hirola will probably never be hunted again. This trophy is the largest in the Safari Club International of Big Game. We do not know if this particular Bull fell to a hunter or not. It has been entered in the Books as a pick up. The date on the mount was 7/01/1969 which would have been the right time of year for a Safari in the part of Africa. This trophy should in a Museum and that is exactly where it will go if it does not sell. The taxidermist did a fantastic job as this mount looks alive and also as if it was mounted just yesterday. It will last forever if properly look after. You are seeing some of the greatest Trophies that ever came out of Africa in this collection.

This is one impressive Impala Ram. His horns are 31 7/8 x 31 6/8 inches long. The bases are 6 2/8 x 6 1/8 inches around. The old Ram was taken in July of 1974 in Tanzania. The Hunter is unknown. This Impala has been entered into the Safari Club Records of African Big Game as a pick up. The score is 76. This mount is in very good condition with good taxidermy quality, for the time it was done. This Impala is like one in 10 to 15,000.

Here is another Mega Monster Swamp Antelope from the Sudan. This trophy was found in March of 1971. The Hunter or finder is unknown. This great trophy has horns measuring 32 4/8 x 32 5/8 inches long. The bases are 7 5/8 x 7 7/8 inches around for a score of 80 5/8. The mount is in fantastic condition with above average taxidermy. These animals also live in parts of Egypt but will probably not be hunted in their native land anytime soon.

This Puku was taken from the Luangwa Valley in Zambia in August if 1982. The Hunter is unknown. The horns are 21 x 21 1/8 inches long. The bases are 7 x 7 inches around. The score of 56 1/8 ranks this Puku number 5 as a pickup. The mount is clean, smoke free, and in very good condition with good solid taxidermy quality.

No. 5 Peters or (Tana) Gazelle shoulder mount

This Gazelle came out of Masailand, Northern Tanzania, sometime around the mid-1980s. The Hunter was unknown. The horns are 24 6/8 x 24 5/8 inches long. The bases are both 7 4/8 inches around. The Peters Gazelle horns grow straight up with little spread if any at the top. The Grants flare out and the Roberts turn out hard like wings. This mount is clean and in very good condition with good taxidermy quality.

This Kob was taken along the East Bank of the White Nile River in the Sudan in 1981. The mount is in excellent condition for its age with above average taxidermy quality. The overall condition is excellent. The horns measure 23 1/8 x 23 inches long. The bases are both 7 5/8 inches around. An interesting thing is the Kobs along the East Bank of the White Nile are dark like this one while on the West side they are orange beige colored. Both are beautiful. This mount will make a gorgeous decoration in any place you hang him.

This is another of Africas greatest trophys that we were able to collect though collections we liquidated over the years. We save them because Top 10 animals are special. This Somali Soemmerrings Gazelle comes from Danakil, Ethiopia. This is a tough mount to find. This trophy was harvested in Jan. 1971. The mount is in fantastic condition for its age and the taxidermy quality is too. The horns are 20 1/8 inches long on each side. The bases are 5 7/8 x 5 6/8 inches around. This is a rare and Top World Class Trophy.

Here is a very nice Clovis Point and a Spear Point that was sharpened down to a Drill Point that were recovered from Bourbon County, Kentucky. The Clovis Point is 2 8/16 inches long and the Drill is 3 8/16 inches long. The Clovis is fluted about ... half way on each side. This one is probably a grade 7 and was probably left unfinished at a temporary hunting camp while traveling. These Artifacts are estimated to be 9,500 to 11,500 years old and they make a good investment items.
