Eddystone, Model of 1917 lend/lease, Lot #24a (Sale Order 25 of 691) .30-06 Sprg, s/n 601513, rifle, brl length 26", bolt action, very good condition, this Eddystone example is one of the lend/lease program rifles of WW2 having a red band painted at the forend of the rifle with ".30-06" ink stamped on the right side, barrel marking is "E/flaming bomb proof/5-18", the rifle was assembled in June of 1918 having flaming bomb proof left side of receiver with Eagles head acceptance stamps on safety and underside of wrist where there is also a "1U" marked into wood as well, the top of the steel butt plate also has an Eagles head inspectors proof along with left side of receiver at chamber, folding adjustable rear sight with fixed front, sling attachment points and bore that shines with rifling, walnut stock with finger groove forend shows some military wear with metal finish thinning in spots and having some light freckling 8-10-14
