Otto Gieseke (1891-1968) held the positions of Major der Schutzpolizei was promoted to Oberstleutnant der Schutzpolizei on October 20, 1940 promoted to Oberst der Schutzpolizei on October 28, 1942 and finally to Generalmajor der Schutzpolizei / SS-Brigadefuhrer on June 10, 1944. He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on September 30, 1942. Document measures 11.5" x 8.25" and features tipped on photographs of Gieseke in uniform. 10th June 1944: Generalmajor der Schutzpolizei / SS-Brigadefuhrer.

The 4pp letter on High SS and Police Leader of Danzig and West Prussia is signed by Richard Hermann Hildebrandt (1897-1952) German politician and a high-ranking Schutzstaffel (SS) commander who as head of the SS Race and Settlement Main Office was convicted of war crimes and hung in Poland in 1952. Letter measures 11.75" x 8.25" and exhibits punch holes at left border. The Wilhelm Traupel (1891-1946) an SS-Oberfuhrer discussed in this letter committed suicide on February 7, 1946 in the detention camp at Recklinghausen while being held for a trial for war crimes.
