1940 MS70 ClockFace Gas Pump 1940 MS70 ClockFace Gas Pump

1940 MS70 ClockFace Gas Pump

Lot #601S (Sale Order 1 of 142)

1940 MS 70 POLLY GAS “......CLOCK FACE”...... GAS PUMP We have a fine example of a Martin and Schwartz Model 80 gas pump headquarted first in Buffalo, New York and moved Salisbury, Maryland. The company was taken over by Wayne 0il and Gasoline Pump Company in 1951. Called a “......clock face”...... because the pump’......s meter displayed the amount sold like a clock telling time. A hand on the face would indicate how much was purchased. The history of Polly Gas is less clear. Polly Gas stations could be seen on the West Coast from the 1920’......s to the late 1950’......s. It was a group to independent stations that sold the Poly product. Sometime during the Depression, Wilshire Oil (formed in 1910 or 1919 depending on who you believe) bought Polly and continued to use the stunning green and black motif with the green parrot. Around 1960 Gulf bought Polly and the handsome pumps disappeared. Not a working pump. Meant for display only. Does light up. ESTIMATE: $1,500-$2,500

Woodie Bar Woodie Bar

Woodie Bar

Lot #606S (Sale Order 6 of 142)

Now for something completely different and special, a custom built bar based on a surfer woodie station wagon. With the look of a 1940s Ford “......Woodie”...... station wagon this custom built bar pays tribute to the surfer culture and its links to a special vehicle beloved of Southern California surfers. Jan and Dean celebrated that tie in a song originally written for the Beach Boys by Brian Wilson called “......Surf City.”...... The opening line goes; “......I bought a ’......34 wagon and we call it a woodie.”...... The Beach Boys also recorded an instrumental called, “......Boogie Woodie.”...... The most stunning feature of this “......woodie bar”...... is the metallic flake red paint job on the front end of the car body and the equally impressive grill. The headlights and taillights both actually work and are wired to an inverter that plugs into 110V. Rescued from a tavern with a “......surfer”...... theme, this bar features a highly polished surf board complete with tail fin as the bar top. The footrest resembles a chromed exhaust pipe. Mirrors have been mounted on the back of the bar to resemble the windows of the “......woodie.”...... The rear view mirror is even shaped like a surfboard. The entire unit is on a tube steel chassis with 6 casters for easy movement. The black finish on the floor and backside are pickup bed liner material that makes it waterproof. Purchasing this special piece of automobilia will be a big help to the Saratoga Auto Museum; the consigner will donate any proceeds above the reserve price to support the Saratoga Auto Museum’......s important Distracted Driver and Educational programs. This beautiful, one of a kind tribute to the days of surfin’...... and woodies, will give the owner something special to talk about when entertaining friends and fellow automobile enthusiasts. 1998 Harley-Davidson Heritage Springer 1998 Harley-Davidson Heritage Springer

1998 Harley-Davidson Heritage Springer

Lot #609S (Sale Order 9 of 142)

1998 HARLEY-DAVIDSON HERITAGE SPRINGER We are offering for auction a magnificent all original recreation of a classic 1948 Harely-Davidson –...... the Heritage Springer. Harley reached back 50 years for inspiration from its most nostalgic model. With its Springer front suspension, hardtail-like rear end, 16 inch whitewalls, high headlight, dual fringed seat and saddlebags, split 4.2 gallon fuel tank with dual filler caps and dual fishtail mufflers, this bike captures the flavor of the 1948 Harley 74. While the engine remains similar to the original V-twin panhead of 1948, it is now 6 cu in bigger, modern alloy cylinders, 5 speeds and electronic ignition. It still has some old “......charm”...... by not having a counterbalancer and no rubber on the engine mounts. Though the bike recalls the Springer suspension, there some modern updates with the most important being disc brakes. The bike also has a rear suspension system. Using Harley’......s Softail configuration with the dampers laid out horizontally out of sight to maintain the illusion of 1948. Even the front now has a shock. Owner believes mileage to be original showing 23,978 on odometer. Title reads exempt. This bike has a great nostalgic look but with modern amenities. Estimate: $15,000-$20,000

1962 Dodge Lancer 1962 Dodge Lancer

1962 Dodge Lancer

Lot #614S (Sale Order 14 of 142)

1962 DODGE LANCER In America, during the late 1950’......s, it became clear that bigger being better was not always the way to go. The late 50’......s recession put a huge dent into what had been a booming car industry. American Motors with their smaller more economical cars had one of its best years. Also, those funny looking foreign cars were a hit with college kids. Detroit decides this is a market to explore. While GM jumped in with both feet and spent millions on the Corvair, Ford and Chrysler decided to build scaled down versions of big cars. Ford gave us the Falcon and Chrysler, first, the Plymouth Valiant and later the Dodge Lancer. In 1960 the Valiant was a huge, out of the box, success but, hedging their bets, Chrysler didn’......t build a car for Dodge. Dodge dealers demanded their own low end small car and so was born the Lancer. We are offering a very handsome very red, only repainted once, 1962 Dodge Lancer Model 742 GT 2-door coupe. Being aimed at a more upscale clientele than a Valiant, the Lancer was a much more fully appointed car. It has power steering, a radio, the A 904 3speed automatic with push buttons and powered by the evergreen 225 cu in 145 hp classic Slant-6. In 1963, the Lancer would become the Dart. This would be a brilliant choice for your first collector car. Estimate: $20,000-$25,000

1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

Lot #619S (Sale Order 19 of 142)

Hurst/Olds collaborations were typically performance based, but by 1975, that commodity was pretty hard to come by. Emission controls had put the vice grips on muscle cars. But Hurst/ Olds had answered the call with a 455 cubic inch big block. Hurst / Olds shifted gears in '75 , emphasizing on the open air appeal of their new, T-top equipped model. Color choices were simple- black or white-with complementary or contrasting vinyl roofs. Special features included swivel bucket seats and of course a Hurst Dual-Gate shifter. The '75 models were still quick for their era, slick in their graphics and rare on the roadways. Just 2,535 H/O's were sold in the model year 1975. ESTIMATE: $30,000-$40,000

1967 Pontiac Firebird 1967 Pontiac Firebird

1967 Pontiac Firebird

Lot #621S (Sale Order 21 of 142)

1967 PONTIAC FIREBIRD CONVERTIBLE In 1964-65 General Motors was caught completely flat footed when Ford introduced the Mustang. Not since the introduction of the model “......A”...... Ford had a car so completely captured the American imagination. This forced GM to go on a crash course to make its own “......pony car”....... In the June of 1966 the Camaro was announced. Aware that Ford was about to announce the Mercury Cougar as their upscale “......pony car”......, the Pontiac’......s Firebird would be the upscale Camaro. While Pontiac really wanted to make a two-seater sports car out the Banshee concept car, GM said no to protect the Corvette from in house competition and to deal with the upscale Cougar. We are offering for auction a very fine example of the first generation Firebird convertible with only 54,400 documented original miles. The last of three owners, our owner bought the car 1986 when it had 52,600 miles. Once again, all can be documented. Of the five engine and four transmission options (remember options), this one has a 326 cu in, 250 hp V-8 and a Powerglide automatic. Our Firebird was re-painted green with gold flex metallic mixed in. The interior is black with a floor shift and power steering. The power top is made canvas in the color of buckskin. No plastic filler. She has new all metal doors and quarter panels. A clean honest first generation “......pony car”......, Estimate: $30,000-$40,000

1966 Buick Wildcat

Lot #622S (Sale Order 22 of 142)

1966 Buick Wildcat Convertible This Buick Wildcat is just plain impressive. It is large in keeping with the mid-60s GM styling and the Red Jewell tint coat paint is striking, the owner says was repainted 10 years ago. It is not surprising that this beauty has won over 100 trophies including best of show, best paint and best engine compartment. The Buick Wildcat represents the top of the line for Buick when it came to performance, luxury and cachet. The convertibles are particularly rare. Not only is the exterior stunning, the black leather custom interior is pristine. The black leather seats look like no one has ever ridden in them. Even the engine compartment is in exceptional condition. It is hard to believe this beauty has 94,550 original miles. It looks like has never been driven. Nestled in the super clean engine compartment is a Buick 401 cu.in. V8 with a Carter 4 barrel that develops 325 h.p. The transmission is an automatic 3-speed with floor-mounted shifter. 1917 Ford Model T Roadster

Lot #623S (Sale Order 23 of 142)

1917 MODEL “......T”...... ROADSTER If you looked up the word ubiquitous in your automotive dictionary, the answer would be Ford model “......T”....... Though first built over one-hundred and ten years ago, it’......s simple charm and rugged character is still loved by millions. One would not be surprised if there were more “......T”...... than Chevy Vegas still being driven. We are offer a charming black, what else would it be, 1917 “......T”...... for auction. Only the second time “......T”......’......s history, 1917 was first year for new body updates. The hood was tapered with a curved top. The folding hinges are now at the point the joint between the flat sides and curved top. These changes are, almost needless to say, subtle but it would be called “......low hood”...... “......T”....... This style lasted up until 1923 and would be the most numerous of all. More than half of all “......T”......s are “......low hoods”....... While, the “......T”...... has better parts availability than some cars made only a few years ago, has the support of thousands of loyal owners and will always attract a crowd at any car show, the Roadster has also been a great foundation for a classic Hot Rod. Of course the seats are bucket seats. There is a luggage rack if you plan on taking a longer trip. The 1250 cc 4-cylinder engine has the correct twin SU carburetors and 4-speed MG gearbox. The engine generates 54 h.p. This car features wire wheels. This is the perfect car for someone who remembers the fun of owning a British sports car in the 1950s. Estimate: $20,000-$30,000

1961 Volkswagen Beetle

Lot #629S (Sale Order 29 of 142)

The most ICONIC and RECOGNIZABLE body style of all time ! Endearingly identified as "THE BUG" The Volkswagon BEETLE stands alone as recognizable. For a car that had a rather odious beginning as a people’......s car commissioned by Adolf Hitler, the Beetle came to be loved by multiple generations of basic transportation seekers on every continent. The 1960 “......Think Small”...... advertising campaign is still studied in marketing classes around the world. Throughout most of its life in the U.S., the Beetle was offered in sedan and cabriolet body styles. Pre-1968 Beetles were inexpensive but never cheap. They were well-assembled, used first-rate interior materials and have a charm that’......s lacking in later cars. Just about every part for a Beetle is readily available and most are quite inexpensive . OUR BEETLE : Now painted in an eye catching Teal Blue metallic and a White convertible top, all in very good condition, draws looks and questions wherever you might be. The wheels are also color coded with chrome center caps and good rubber with wide whitewalls that ad to the fun look. The 1200cc motor has also been trimmed to match the exterior color having only 1500 miles since mechanical restoration. The bugs headlights are clear and the chrome trim rings unblemished with both bumpers in very good order. The Inside metal trim is again color matched complimented with blue cloth seats and door trim in excellent condition. Ivory accents are used (knobs, arm rests and trim rings) to set off this really nice interior. This is a really nice vehicle representing the iconic "BEETLE' It is fun to drive top up or down. Lot #632S (Sale Order 32 of 142)

1989 JAGUAR XJ-S CONVERTIBLE In 1975 Jaguar Cars found itself in a difficult predicament. How to replace the legendary XK-E? Jaguar decides to go all in on building a high speed luxury touring car to go head to head against Mercedes - the XJ-S. Based on the XJ saloon, the new Jag was a large, by European standards, two door touring coupe with and automatic that was, believe it or not, more aerodynamic than the E type. The big change was a V-12 motor which would be its crowning feature until the model was retired in 1995. In 1988, Jaguar introduced a convertible version of the XJ-S which became very popular. Between 1988 and 1991 over 12,000 were built. We are offer a magnificent 1989 version of the XJ-S that has 7,800 original miles on. Yes, only 7,800 miles! This Jag is in stunning red with a perfect tan leather interior. It has a black canvas top. It has power seats, power steering, power top and power brakes. The power comes from the original V-12 attached to the original GM automatic. She comes with tools and stacks of information. 1966 Ford Mustang 1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Ford Mustang

Lot #637S (Sale Order 37 of 142)

There are lots of Mustangs on the road, but a few stand out amongst the crowd. This is true of this gorgeous 1966 hardtop coupe with its' original and unusual Antique Bronze paint and black vinyl roof. The car is a "numbers matching" vehicle which is nearly 100% original, with the exception of a professional repaint in its original color in 2015, new front and rear bumpers and door sills. It starts, runs, handles and stops as it should when new. A new power steering pump installed in 2015 and maneuvering and road handling are effortless. This car is extremely comfortable riding and a real pleasure to drive. Its'original in-line six cylinder engine and 3-speed automatic transmission provide fast, smooth acceleration and will cruise all day at 70 mph with no issues. The Mustang's unique styling, wire spoke wheels, front bucket seats and front-to-back center console with mounted shifter provide the look of a sporty muscle car, as does the attractive steering wheel, full gauge instrument panel and gull wing dash. The engine and its associated components, the cars' full black interior and the trunk are all in original condition and very presentable. The car is also equipped with an AM/FM/MP3 stereo hidden in the glove box. The dash mounted AM/FM/Cassette may be made operable but this is not certain. This Mustang is driven weekly and attracts attention on every outing. The current mileage is believed to be a little over 119K. It is used mostly for family pleasure, with an average of 220 miles per year over the past 10 years. The car took a "Top 5 Classic Driver" trophy in August of 2015 at the Annual West Glens Falls, NY "Freedom Festival" show, with some 200 cars in attendance. While unable to fully document, it is believed that this car was essentially a two-owner car prior to the present day owner's purchase in November of 2007. The car was built in Metuchen, NJ and is said to have never been driven in the winter and never to have left the state of NY until November of 2007. It is now driven from April to October of each year and is kept in dry storage during the fall and winter months. ESTIMATE: $13,000 - $16,000

1956 Ford Fairlane Sunliner 1956 Ford Fairlane Sunliner

1956 Ford Fairlane Sunliner

Lot #646S (Sale Order 46 of 142)

1956 Ford Sunliner The name Sunliner adorned all full sized Ford convertibles from 1952 until 1962. This car is a 1956 model which was a landmark year for Ford. It was a time of prosperity which fueled a horsepower race among car manufacturers where Ford was a top contender. But, in 1956 Ford turned an eye toward safety and what they called the lifesaver design. The steering wheel was dished so as to provide some energy absorbing, seat belts were offered along with the padded dash and sun visors as factory options. In 1956 this model Sunliner with Thunderbird V8 sold very well with 57,872 units. For comparison only 275 buyers opted for the inline six cylinder. The Thunderbird V8s were offered in two flavors; the 292 cu. in. and the 312 cu. in. both had four barrel carburetors, or 4V as Ford literature called them (the V is for venturi). 1956 also introduce a 12 Volt electrical system, so in many ways the 1956 Sunliner is a big step up compared with the 1955 version whose style was only slightly different. For auction we have a lovely powder blue and white model with 200 HP, 292 cu. in. V8 and 4V carburetor. The car is all decked out with the extras like dual spotlights, continental kit, color coordinated blue convertible top, fender skirts, Ford-o-matic transmission, power steering, full wheel covers, and lots more.. The interior is original design in blue and white vinyl, and the dash is covered with the lifesaver padding. This makes the perfect cruise in ride for all car collectors. It will be a true collector car for years to come. Estimate: $35,000-$50,000

1978 Cadillac DeVille 1978 Cadillac DeVille

1978 Cadillac DeVille

Lot #651S (Sale Order 51 of 142)

Cadillac’......s de Ville series of coupes and sedans have always represented the highest levels of performance and luxury. Introduced during the 1949 Motorama tour and until Cadillac retired the model in 2005, the de Ville was the status symbol most coveted by the entrepreneurs and social climbers of post World War 2 America. We are offering for auction and excellent example of the fifth generation of the DeVille line produced in 1978. The fifth generation was introduced in 1977 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Cadillac. The new DeVille was nine inches shorter and four inches narrower. The reduction made the new DeVille a ½... ton lighter. Despite the reduction in size, the new DeVille had a larger trunk with more head and leg room. Our 1978 fifth generation DeVille has only traveled 4,700 powered by a 5.7 liter V8. The most striking feature is the “......Cabriolet”...... roof option. With this option, the rear half of the roof would be of padded vinyl with opera windows and lamps. The color would often match the interior. In this case a white leather interior with red highlights. The red high lights would be the same red as the exterior. It is a strikingly handsome automobile that exudes the class that is Cadillac’......s hall mark and best express by the DeVille. 1967 Volvo 122S 1967 Volvo 122S

1967 Volvo 122S

Lot #652S (Sale Order 52 of 142)

1967 Volvo 122S 4-door Sedan This is a 50-year old classic Volvo sedan with less than 60,000 miles. In amazing condition with its original paint, original interior and original drivetrain. Only four owners during its long life. Of course there have been some careful upgrades including ipd sway bars, Pertronix ignition from ipd, and a rebuilt brake servo. A pleasing more rounded shape than its predecessor, the PV544, these Volvo sedans look like an American or Italian design from the 1950s breaking with the 544 which looks like a throwback to the pre-war era. Sometimes known as the Amazon, these sedans also sported more legroom and bucket seat comfort. The sea-mist exterior paint is original and matches the green vinyl interior, also original. The 1800 cc 4-cylinder engine is not known as a powerhouse but does produce about 100 hp. More importantly, these Volvo engines are reputed to be bulletproof and are incredibly reliable. It features two side draft SU carburetors and a 4-speed floor mounted transmission. The sedan now sports power brakes thanks to a rebuilt brake servo from Apple Hydraulics. Parts for these cars are readily available. 1967 was the last year of production for the 122S 4-door sedans and the only year for an improved rear suspension. This Volvo 122S “......Amazon”...... in exceptional condition is an excellent starting point for anyone entering the classic car hobby or for someone who just loves these iconic Swedish vehicles. Below is an article which was published in the Rolling Magazine, Volvo Club of America May-June 2018 edition. Mike Carney was well known among central New york Volvo enthusiasts. I first met Mike in the 80s when he pulled up to my shop in his ’......68 122 wagon. We became good friends; Mike even let me borrow the wagon for my class of ’......68 20-year reunion. It wasn’......t his first Volvo. No, that would have been his 145E or his 1800ES, both troublesome. yet, he stuck with the brand, buying an early 240 that continued the teething problems. Then he got the wagon, which he owned for over 20 years before selling it to Joe Lazenby. But mike had his eye on another 122. He had tracked down an all-original 1967 122 4-door sedan, with 38,000 original miles, in Kansas. It was first advertised in the January 2003 issue of Rolling by Charlotte Erb. Sonny Maynard in Olathe, Kansas ended up buying it. The car had been purchased new by Seymour Erb, a Volvo mechanic in Williamsport, Pa., and his wife Charlotte. They kept it in their garage until Seymour passed away, having driven only 33,000 miles with it in 36 years. Sonny put another 5,000 miles on it before Mike finally convinced him to sell it in 2008. mike was the kind of guy who drove his cars. He put 20,000 miles on it over the next eight years. “......If there’......s a better one around, show me,”...... he said. He made some improvements—...... new tires, rebuilt the servo, and so on, but he treasured the car’......s originality. you may remember mike from his occasional contributions to Rolling. He was always trying to trace the origin of some piece of Volvo memorabilia, like the old Volvo badge or the tennis racket. He never did find out where that stuff came from. In October 2016, mike went in for a second heart surgery—......he didn’......t make it home. I purchased the car from mike’......s daughters the following month and drove it to a couple shows in 2017. I took it down to Watkins Glen for the vintage weekend. It drives like a new Volvo, straight down the road, cruising all day long at 75-80 mph. It’......s approaching 60,000 miles. That’......s a big, round number, but I’......m going to let somebody else cross that line. The Erb-maynard-Carney 122S is consigned to the Saratoga auto auction, to be held September 20-21 at the Saratoga Performing arts Center. That’......s one week before the VCOa National meet in Stratton mountain and Saratoga is practically on the way to Vermont. This auction benefits the Saratoga auto museum. ESTIMATE: $22,500-$28,000

1967 Triumph TR4 1967 Triumph TR4

1967 Triumph TR4

Lot #657S (Sale Order 57 of 142)

When the Triumph TR4 was introduced in 1961, it was a bold and drastic change from the aging spartan design of the outgoing TR3. The new body was a modern design, penned by Michelotti, that still looks elegant and sporty even today. The updated TR4 design took sporting prowess and mixed in a bit more creature comfort into the design, doing away with the leaky side curtains in favor of much more practical roll up windows. Other key upgrades over the outgoing TR3 included a wider track in both the front and the rear, rack and pinion steering, a fully synchromesh gearbox, and a slight upgrade in engine displacement to 2138cc. The TR4 was well received by the public and throughout its 5 years run would see an estimated 40,253 cars produced. In 1965 the TR4A was introduced as a slight upgrade to the standard TR4. The biggest change was the availability of IRS or independent rear suspension, in an attempt to stop the critics who chided the TR4 for a harsh ride. The TR4A would be produced for two more years until in 1968 it was replaced by the similar design but updated power plant of the TR5. This particular TR4A, chassis number CTC73750LO, and engine number CT73971E is a 1967 model fitted with IRS (independent rear suspension). It came from the factory fitted with a rare and desirable hard top allowing for a little bit more protection from the elements when motoring down the road. This car is in fantastic original condition with largely original paint and superb patina throughout and is numbers matching according to the supplied BMIHT. The car has been thoroughly sorted mechanically and is ready for immediate use. According to the BMIHT, this car was built on October 31, 1966, and delivered to the Standard Triumph Motor Company of New Jersey on November 8, 1966. Factory fitted equipment included Michelin X types, heater, overdrive, triumph racing green hard top, black surrey top, European lights and independent rear suspension. Not much is known about the early life of the car but it can be said that it spent time in California and was a black plate car up until the early 2000’......s when it was purchased by Jamie Kitman, a well known automotive journalist, who resides in northern New Jersey and New York. Under Mr. Kitman’......s ownership, the car was routinely serviced at reputable shops and all the records are included. Most of the work that was done was routine maintenance and replacing expendable items and the car presents today as very well maintained. This car comes with BMIHT Certificate, Spare, and Records

1941 Pontiac Woodie Wagon 1941 Pontiac Woodie Wagon

1941 Pontiac Woodie Wagon

Lot #661S (Sale Order 61 of 142)

1941 Pontiac Woodie Stations Wagons are coveted by lovers of this unique style of station wagon and they are uncommon indeed. This example of a rare pre-war woodie comes from the collection of a noted expert on these special vehicles. Originally woodies were built for use by hotels to pickup guests arriving by train so many were built on truck chassis. While at first practical utility vehicles their unique styling caught the eye of the wealthy for use on their estates and Adirondack camps. They wanted some of the ride comfort of regular cars and companies like GM jumped into the market during the 1930s. What makes these cars so special is, of course, their handmade wooden bodies built by an outside contractor, the Hercules Company of Evansville, Indiana. Hercules made the bodies for these station wagons of ash-framed mahogany. This makes the Hercules woodies more desirable because the two other firms building woodie bodies for GM used plainer birch panels. The roof is topped with an Everflex-covered padding. The wooden tailgate is horizontally split with a single window on the top and a built-in folding tray on the bottom. Production of these cars was limited partly because they were time consuming to build by hand and they weren’......t that profitable. They were often the most expensive car in the Pontiac lineup for their time. In 1942, production ceased altogether because of the war. This particular woodie is a four door Custom Torpedo Station Wagon. It is believed to be a 10 year old restoration from Florida. The tan paint job is a custom color and the mahogany wood body is beautifully varnished reminding one of the wooden hulled powerboats from the same era. An L-head 6 cylinder engine develops about 90 horsepower from 234 cubic inches. The transmission is a three-speed manual column mounted shift. The car was built on the standard GM 122 inch chassis of the period. There are two bench seats covered in Naugahyde vinyl. This was the original material used in what was seen as a utility vehicle. A varnished wood panel interior is accented by a metal dash. The dash features a built-in AM radio and clock. There is also a heater unit in the vehicle. This is an opportunity to own a rare and unique piece of automotive history. ESTIMATE: $60,000 - $70,000

1990 Am General M998 Humvee 1990 Am General M998 Humvee

1990 Am General M998 Humvee

Lot #665S.1 (Sale Order 66 of 142)

A dramatically customized 1990 military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, more famously known as a Humvee, has been consigned to the Saratoga Auto Museum’......s annual auction this September. This is not just any used Humvee, this vehicle was subject to a complete, frame off, rotisserie customization by nationally recognized restoration and hot rod specialist Steve Hale of Frankfort, N.Y. The Humvee’......s unique paint and features is a salute to America’......s veterans and a fund raising effort for “......Feed Our Vets©...”...... which is the only national non profit supporting vets nationally and in upstate New York with meals and food pantries. The M998 HMMWV was developed by the military as a replacement for the Jeeps used in Vietnam. First produced by AM General in 1984 more than 281,000 of these tough and reliable light utility vehicles first gained fame in Desert Storm and later in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Military forces all over the world have ordered these workhorse vehicles. The idea for this special salute to veterans originated with a Utica based charity called “......Feed Our Vets”......, a 501 c 3 charity. That organization provides meals and operates several food pantries including a mobile food pantry-serving veterans in central and eastern New York State. Proceeds from auctioning of this Humvee will go to Feed Our Vets, a 501 (c) (3) to help maintain their programs. Feed Out Vets founder Rich Synek says he first had the idea of finding a Humvee to help raise funds for his group after CNN restored a H1 Hummer they had used in the Iraq war and auctioned it off for $1.25 million to benefit the Fisher House Foundation. In 2015 Synek set off to see if he could find someone to donate a Humvee and last year he received a 1990 AM General HMMWV from Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia. He contacted Steve Hale of Steve’......s Hot Rods and Restorations. Steve is well known from appearances on the History Channel’......s “......American Restorations”...... program. He jumped on the project when Synek showed him the Humvee. Now, one year later and after at least 1,000 man-hours of labor the “......Feed Our Vets”...... project has been completed. As Steve says the used vehicle “......wasn’......t in great shape and they had work to do.”...... Every piece was dismantled in Steve’...... shop, cleaned and painted. The original 6.2-liter GM diesel V8 engine with GM fuel injection was freshened and runs well. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic and features independent 4-wheel drive. The suspension has been rebuilt. With four doors and a wide wheelbase there is plenty of room in the interior, which has also been completely redone in keeping with the look of the vehicle. All the gages have been replaced. The stunning and one off green and black paint scheme uses paint specially formulated and donated by PPG from their Crystallance paints which uses crushed glass to provide a striking sparkle. A&P Master Images of Utica donated computer renderings of the vehicle for the customization process. The vehicles features touches like 13 stars painted on the hood along with saluting soldiers on the truck’......s sides. The “......Feed Our Vets”...... front and rear bumpers were donated by “......Iron Cross”...... bumpers. The rear roll bar featuring a military star is part of the design and is hand rolled fabricated steel. The huge tires are 37X12,5R16.5 donated by Pitbull Tires. One of the most memorable features of this special Humvee is the green wheels featuring chrome studs. Completing the package are special LED lights across the front and rear windows and around the front fenders. Westin Automotive Products donated them. This memorable enhancement of a military workhorse will be on the SPAC stage to be auctioned off during the Saratoga Auto Museum’......s Auction on September 21 & 22, 2018. For more information on the auction or to consign a vehicle contact Jeff Whiteside, Auction Director at 518-587-1935 x22 or jeff.whiteside@saratogaautomuseum.org. Estimate: $125,000 - $175,000

1960 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie

Lot #669S (Sale Order 69 of 142)

Originally the early Corvettes were underpowered and lacked the suspension to be seen as real “......sports cars.”...... Then GM got serious and by 1960, under the influence of the legendary Zora Arkus Duntov and his team at Chevrolet, the Corvette evolved into a high powered and properly handling real sports car that could compete in international races like LeMans and Sebring with good results. By 1960 Chevrolet offered a range of seven engine options using the small black 283 cu.in. V-8 and the most desirable are the fuel-injected models with improved horsepower, nicknamed “......Fuelies.”...... This particular Corvette, driven only 500 miles since extensive restoration, an excellent example of a sought after 1960 Chevrolet Corvette with that Rochester Fuel Injection, a highly collectable “......Fuelie.”...... This car received meticulous restoration 8 years ago with new Ermine White paint, new front end, new chrome work including grill, new white walls and red interior. Wheel coves are painted the correct silver and all badges are new or correct. The owner believes this is a numbers matching car with a 283 cu. in. V8 putting out 250 hp. With more horsepower these Corvettes featured a larger aluminum radiator. To match their power these “......Vettes”...... also received a stronger front sway bar as well as a new rear sway bar, which greatly improved handling. This car comes with a white fiberglass hard top and a black convertible top. The radio is original model. The owner has a photo album documenting the restoration. The trunk includes a spare and jack tools with a black trunk carpet. Overall in excellent condition this is a rare opportunity to own a car that helped create the Corvette legend as America’......s true sports car. It will provide many miles of spirited motoring. With the thundering 428 big block under the hood with medium rise roller rocker cobra jet heads (medium rise), and 10 to one compression –...... board out 30 over, fuel injection throttle body FITeck polished, aluminum Water Pump, aluminum Radiator and oil collier, ceramic coated exhaust & headers and pipes. Aluminum oil pan, and billet proof shatter shield to name a few. It’......s as close to the original as you’......ll get for under half-million dollars. You want the exact Cobra shape? This is it, unaltered for comfort or convenience. It is fiberglass, which is why it is affordable, but the finish quality makes it look like the aluminum body, without rapping your knuckles on the side. The red paint with the pearl white strips is pure magic a must see. It’......s exactly the way Shelby was building them five decades ago, with bumpers, small tail lights, and an oil cooler up front all OEM. The windshield, wind wings, and side mirror are correct OEM, the roll bar is brilliantly plated, and side pipes are just the way they are supposed to be. The low backed leather buckets are also exactly the way they were in the 60’......s, and despite their rather ancient design, they are comfortable and supportive, although you’......ll appreciate the belts that help hold you in place with the cornering forces this car can generate. A gorgeous wood-rimmed wheel is OEM also, the dash is full of Smith instruments. The forward-canted shifter is still borrowed from a Mustang, with the top loader four-speed unit, so this gal has legs!! The trunk is fitted with original carpeting, as well as rear-mounted battery, as well as a 16 gallon fuel tank underneath. There’......s also a handy convertible top (Black) , also it makes about 595 hp and around 525 ft. pounds of torque, which is more than any vintage 428 managed (10-1 comp) and 30 over boring, and roller rockers. The suspension is all-independent on 4”...... round-tube steel frame chassis, with a-arms, and coil-overs and a watts link rear, it's full race suspension ,and pose rear (355), vintage pin drive hubs, with Hillibrand looking 16”...... wheels and 200 mph tires and OEM knock-offs , so it looks totally authentic. Also includes knock off hammer. This is an exceptional snake that’......s sure to be a smart investment. Shelby did make a few 427 Cobras with 428 cu in big blocks in them . Estimate: $80,000-$110,000

1966 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 1966 Pontiac Catalina 2+2

1966 Pontiac Catalina 2+2

Lot #680S (Sale Order 80 of 142)

In the 1960s Pontiac made a name for the brand as the source of powerful muscle cars across its model lineup. Pontiac developed the full sized Catalina 2+2 as a sporting variant in the larger models of its lineup and positioned it as the performance big brother of the highly successful GTO model. The 2+2 was introduced in 1964 but really took off in 1965 when Pontiac decided to make the 2+2 its own model based on the all new B-body style from GM. The Pontiac 2+2 retained the distinctive Pontiac split grill and stacked quad headlights while new rocker areas gave the car a “......coke bottle”...... style at the waist. The 2+2 is identified by twin lens taillights, 2+2 badges on the deck and lid and rear fenders. “......Pontiac 421”...... badges are found on the front fenders near the grill. This example of the 2+2 has only 86,000 original miles. With the 421 cu. in. V8 motor producing nearly 400 h.p. this big car can move. The extra power comes from the optional Rochester Tri-Power carburetor. The engine has been freshened with a new exhaust system installed four years ago. The car now features a new four-speed Hurst shifter floor mounted and fitted only two years ago. Power brakes and power steering help keep this big beauty under control. An original option was the hood mounted tachometer and this was added 2-years ago. The car was repainted in a dramatic red color some 4-years ago. The black interior features the standard bucket seats in front. The black soft convertible top is powered. The wheels are the black 8-lug Pontiac hubs set off by a red stripe on the tires. This big and powerful muscle car is an imposing reminder of the glory days of Pontiac. ESTIMATE: $35,000-$45,000

1957 Ford Thunderbird 1957 Ford Thunderbird

1957 Ford Thunderbird

Lot #693S (Sale Order 93 of 142)

1957 Ford Thunderbird Dammerman Ford introduced the Thunderbird in response to General Motor’......s Corvette after it was shown at the 1953 Motorama exhibit at the New York Auto Show. Both cars were intended to compete with the new European sports cars now entering the U.S. such as Jaguars, MGs and Austin Healeys. Called a “......personal car”...... by Ford the two seat Thunderbird evolved more as a personal luxury car than the Corvette which aspired to be creditable as a performance-oriented sports car so the T-bird focused on comfort rather than speed. The last year of the two seat Thunderbird came in 1957 with that year seen by collectors as the best of the “......baby birds.”...... In this model year the larger rear fins featured a subtle curve, larger tail lights and the front bumper was redesigned to provide a larger grill. The spare tire was moved back into the trunk doing away with the awkward looking continental kit. This car is in rare Willow Green with green and white upholstery and includes a green detachable hard top as well as a convertible top. Fender skitrs cover the rear wheels which helps further smooth the lines of the car. As a D-code car this T-bird has the optional 312 cu. in. V8 with the Fordomatic automatic transmission. So, while the Thunderbird is not seen as a real sports car it could still hit 110mph. After the 1957 model Thunderbirds became luxury four seaters and lost any pretense of being a sports car. Today, often seen as one of the best U.S. automotive designs of all time, the 1957 Thunderbird has proven highly collectable. Estimate: $50,000-$65,000

1957 Chevrolet Corvette 1957 Chevrolet Corvette

1957 Chevrolet Corvette

Lot #694S (Sale Order 94 of 142)

1957 Chevrolet Corvette (Dammerman Collection) #213 By 1957 the Chevrolet Corvette had evolved into a real sports car capable of taking on Europe’......s most prestigious examples. With its remarkable Onyx Black paint and stunning red bucket seats this is an outstanding example of that breakthrough Corvette. After this new body style with its clean and purposeful lines was introduced in 1956, the next year saw a major performance upgrade to a 283 cu.in. V8 engine which delivered 245 h.p. with the 2 4-barrel Carter carburetors on this car. While a three speed manual transmission was standard on these cars this example has the much more desirable 4 speed manual transmission, which played in a major role in improving the Corvette’......s performance. A dual point distributor also helped make this Corvette quicker off the line. According to the records that came with this car it had a significant restoration in 2005 and has been carefully garaged and maintained in the Dammerman Collection. The black paint is flawless and beautifully set off with the silver side scoop. The red vinyl interior is pristine as well. White wall tires further set off the black paint. The interior features a restored AM radio. The convertible top is also black. If you love sports cars, this highly desirable version of the first real American sports car belongs in your garage. 1957 Oldsmobile Starfire Ninety Eight 1957 Oldsmobile Starfire Ninety Eight

1957 Oldsmobile Starfire Ninety Eight

Lot #696S (Sale Order 96 of 142)

1957 Oldsmobile Starfire 98 Convertible (Dammerman Collection) Lot #216 This impressive convertible was the full size flagship for the Oldsmobile lineup in 1957 and in this year rebranded as “......Starfire”...... to keep up with the emerging space age. It is hard to ignore the Olds Starfire 98 given its size particularly with the optional continental kit found on this car. The included rear fender skirts further add to the sense of massive forward movement. As an example of mid-50s GM styling the Olds 98 features lots of chrome inside and outside and on this car it is in excellent shape. At one time Olds had a strong performance image but the Oldsmobile line was struggling in the mid 50s thanks to Chrysler’......s new 300 series. The answer was the new 371 cu. in. Rocket OHV V-8 found on this car along with what is known as the J-2 option that could develop 300 h.p. Only a limited number of these J-2 cars were built. A complex system, the J-2 option included three Rochester two-barrel carburetors and a “......wide throated”...... intake manifold. In operation the center carb controlled the fuel flow during “......normal”...... driving conditions. With added throttle input the second carb would kick in. At full throttle the third carb engaged getting the engine up to the desired 300 h.p. and race car performance. Included in the performance package is a Jetaway Hydromantic transmission. The pink color and size of this Olds immediately draws your eye. The interior is striking in complementary silver/black/white vinyl. The oval signs inside the car include the instrument cluster and the steering wheel hub. As a luxury cruiser this car features power steering, power windows and power top plus the Wonderbar AM radio that could seek out radio station signals. The vinyl top is white to compliment the pink. The odometer shows 98,575 miles. This big beauty can both cruise in style and push you back in the bench seats when you put your foot down. Estimate: $65,000-$80,000

2003 Ferrari 360 Spider (Dammerman Collection) #245 Ferrari first introduced the aluminum bodied and curvy 360 as a coupe in 1999 but an open top spider version was always planned and the spider came out in 2001. A lighter aluminum body also helped This particular Ferrari 360 has the F1 paddle style 6-speed automatic transmission. Passenger safety is enhanced on this spider with a strengthened windscreen frame and roll bars. A metallic blue color with a blue leather interior and a blue convertible top create a car that can only be called stunningly beautiful. 1952 Buick Roadmaster 1952 Buick Roadmaster

1952 Buick Roadmaster

Lot #706S (Sale Order 106 of 142)

1952 Buick Roadmaster –...... Restored This is a Riviera model two door hardtop. The hardtop body style first showed up on Buick in 1949 and this is a stunning example of that hardtop style. The chrome ribs across the vinyl headliner offers a sporty, youthful touch compared to the mundane cloth headliners of sedans which show the stitching. Of course being a Roadmaster, this car sports the four VentiPorts on the front fenders distinguishing it from the Special, Century, and Super. The number of “......ports”...... also is an indicator of engine size. The Roadmaster had the larger 320 cu. In. straight eight having a higher compression ratio of 7.5 to 1. This engine produced 168 Horsepower at 3800 rpm. The Buick straight eight engines were famously smooth running engines and legend has it that ace mechanics could tune them to idle so slowly an observer could count the fan blades. Coupled to the Dynaflow transmission the car was able to deliver power to the rear wheels in the smoothest way possible for its day. This car is fully optioned with power windows, power seats, and power steering which was new in 1951 when few cars offered power assisted steering. Only 11,387 model 76Rs were produce in 1952, which represents less than 4% of the total Buick production for the year. This car has been restored to better than new condition so it may be one in a million. If you are a Buick fan or just want a great collectible car to enjoy, this Riviera needs nothing and is ready to go. Estimate: $50,000-$65,000

1957 Chrysler 300C 1957 Chrysler 300C

1957 Chrysler 300C

Lot #710S (Sale Order 110 of 142)

A special and rare survivor, this is one of 18 Chrysler 300Cs produced in 1957 with an optional performance package designed for NASCAR competition. Of those 18 cars only three survive to this day and this unrestored 300C remains as a unique example of the very first muscle cars. The other cars are the “......mule”...... Chrysler used to engineer this special run and the other is in New Zealand and restored. Big and very fast these cars were a sensation during the mid-Fifties. Chrysler 300s were so named because the original models delivered 300 horses. The car consigned to this auction put out significantly more power. Featuring the famed V8 392 cu.in. “......hemi”...... engine this Chrysler was modified with larger exhaust manifolds and pipes and a Snyder roller camshaft installed by Chrysler. The horsepower was increased from 375 to 390. The exhaust system still has hand made metal part numbers welded to the pipes to pass NASCAR inspection. On the dash a large tachometer is installed in the middle where the clock normally sits, another giveaway this car was intended for competition. The heavy-duty suspension was also as revolutionary as the hemi engine because Chrysler used torsion bars to provide a stiffer suspension than normal in the era. At 4600 lbs. this is a big car so the drum brakes were large and the best of their day but not up to the standards of disc brakes. A unique air scoop under the headlights helped cool the front brakes. The three-speed stick shift is a replacement for the original but is a Chrysler NPG all-synchromesh three speed built in 1967 and purchased from a local NASCAR racer. These original muscle cars are a memorable sight on the road with their sweeping rear fenders and substantial front grill. A two-door coupe, this 300C has been repainted in its original black and the interior is in beige leather. The car is unrestored but has been carefully stored since 1984 in a dry urethane insulated garage that has no dew point and helps prevent rust. Purchase by the current owner in the early 1960s, this car only 61,000 actual miles on the odometer. The long time owner is a nationally recognized authority on these cars and a show judge for Chrysler 300s. ESTIMATE: $90,000-$140,000

1961 Lincoln Continental

Lot #711S (Sale Order 111 of 142)

The 4th generation of the Lincoln Continental introduced in 1961 is one of the most sought after cars. It paved the way for the cleaner, fresher style of cars manufactured in the 1960’......s. The Continental would become an icon leading America into a new automotive frontier. After the sixty million dollar disaster of the 3rd generation Lincoln that tried to out chrome and be more massive than Cadillac’......s or Imperials, Ford decided to take a bold step and turned 180 degrees away from opulence. The new Continental would have a wheelbase 8 inches shorter and an overall length 14.8 inches shorter than 1960. The design would be based on “......form follows function”...... with a simple slab style and almost no ornamentation. The rear hinged “......suicide”...... back doors were all the new Continental needed to make it clear it was no ordinary automobile. It is a high water mark in industrial design. This car is from the introductory year. The color is turquoise with a white top and white interior to match. * 430 CID V-8 315 HP * 3 speed TURBO-DRIVE automatic * 51,600 miles Estimate: $35,000-$50,000

1986 Ferrari 412

Lot #713S (Sale Order 113 of 142)

One of the most beautiful of Ferrari’......s Pininfarina-styled grand touring 2+2s, the 412 represents the final evolutionary advancement of Ferrari’......s GT class from the 365 of 1972. In fact this model was the last Ferrari produced with the legendary Colombo designed 60-degree V12. With it’......s spacious interior and big 4.9 liter V12 Ferrari engine this car was built for high speed touring in comfort. Lotus chief designer Peter Stevens called the Ferrari’......s 2+2 series the “......most beautiful production car of all time.”...... The 412 is a rare model with only some 576 cars built during a 4-year run and they were not imported into the United States so they are even rarer in this country. In fact a Countess in Switzerland originally purchased this car. The current owner bought this car from the Vice President of the Ferrari Club of France so the provenance and service history of this particular Ferrari 412 is well known and documented. The owner says the car comes with service records and Auvergne Motors of Clermont-Ferrand did the last full service in March 2017, which included a front suspension rebuild with new bushings. It has new fuel pumps and the leather dash has been replaced. It also has 4 new Michelin TRX tires. This 412 has the three speed automatic transmission found on only 306 412s. The 412’......a 4.9-liter V12 put out 340 h.p. with the fuel injected engine. This was the first Ferrari to feature anti-lock brakes and this car has power steering. The paint is original in Blue Sera Met and in good condition while the interior of this 2-door 2+2 is beautiful in beige leather. Bidders should also be aware that the owner says he has the original Ferrari tool sets and all the original manuals in their leather envelopes. This is an opportunity to own a classic and rare Ferrari 412 2+2 with clear provenance that has in the words of the owner, “......been optimally maintained throughout its 32 year life.”...... 1967 Porsche 912

Lot #714S (Sale Order 114 of 142)

1967 PORSCHE 912 The Porsche 912 is considered the “......baby brother”...... of the 911. Produced from 1965 to 1969, the 912 is powered by a 4-cylinder air cooled engine, producing 90HP. The 912 was based off of the famous 356, it was known as the entry-level 911. This recently restored and very original 1967 Porsche 912 in Polo Red is the Porsche that you have been waiting for. A west coast car for its whole life, the car lived with it’......s original owner in Nevada until 2006. Powered by a healthy and recently serviced 1600cc engine, This 912 runs and drives absolutely beautifully. The car has been fully sorted from top to bottom by our team of Porsche Experts here at Gaswerks. To add to the fun, the car has been lowered and all new suspension bushings have been installed. 15 inch steel wheels have been mounted as well to give the car excellent handling in the twisties and a comfortable, yet sporty ride. The steel wheels also give the car a period correct rally look which is complimented by the recently installed decals. Step inside and you will see a new headliner and the original 912 steering wheel. The interior has no rips, stains or blemishes and looks just as amazing as the exterior. The dash pads and gauges are in excellent condition with no cracks or tears and has the original owner’......s manual. Everything on the car functions as it should. Gaspare noted that the car has an amazingly clean body, the under panels are straight, the rails are clean and that most of the spots that have fallen the test of time are all still in tack, for example the jack points at the rear of the car and the front suspension area all still have the factory coating on it. A sign of a dry, clean western car. Things to note are that The car has a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and the engine and transmission are matching numbers to what is in the car. 1970 Ford Torino Cobra 429 1970 Ford Torino Cobra 429

1970 Ford Torino Cobra 429

Lot #722S (Sale Order 122 of 142)

At the time we didn’......t know it but 1970 would mark the end of an era in Muscle Car history. By 1980 gas would triple in price and forget finding 100 octane. Insurance companies raise premiums because of the direct relationship between horsepower and claims filed. The Feds wanted clean air and that strangled performance. We are offering at auction an extraordinary example from 1970: a Ford Torino Cobra Jet Sportroof. Because the Torino was Ford’......s weapon of choice for NASCAR, the Cobra Jet was loaded with high performance good stuff. Our numbers matching Cobra Jet, featured on the cover the November 16, 2016 issue of OLD CARS: WEEKLY NEW & MARKET PLACE, is equipped with a 370 hp 429-4V CJ Ram Air motor, a four speed “......top loader”...... and 3:50 rear end. It also has a competition suspension with staggered rear shocks. It is painted in a stunning Calypso Coral with a black interior that has Turin Knit vinyl bucket seats; full counsel and AM radio. The crowning and very cool feature is the flat black hood with a “......shaker”...... air cleaner. A previous owner found the Torino on craigslist and jumped on it. Having spent all of its life in the south, he knew it would not have the rust problems that plagued most Torino’......s. To upgrade performance, he added a .570-lift Crane Cam and Hooker headers. Of the 407, 502 Torino’......s made in 1970, just 7,675 were Cobra Jets. The lucky bidder who wins this car will have an extraordinary example from an era when all was possible. * VIN #OA 38J144840 * A Magazine Cover Queen * "J”...... code 429 cid, 375 hp, V8 4BBL Ram Air * Hurst 4 speed * Detroit –...... locker * Competition suspension w/front coils * Extra-long rear leaf springs * Flat black hood * Optional 15”...... Magnum wheels * Body off restoration ESTIMATE: $60,000-$70,000

1971 Dodge Dart Swinger 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger

1971 Dodge Dart Swinger

Lot #738S (Sale Order 134 of 142)

This beautiful, "numbers matching", all original and sporty 1971 Dart Swinger in bright red with black, textured vinyl roof has only 33,900 original miles comes with the original owner's manual and build sheet. This car starts, runs, handles and stops as when new. It provides an unusually comfortable ride and will cruise for hours at 70 mph with ease. The 225 cid slant-six engine, paired with its TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission, is renowned for its long life and peppy acceleration. Only the battery and tires are not original to the car. This car draws attention wherever it goes and took first place for originality at "Memories on Wheels" car show, Corinth, NY in 2010 with about 250 cars present. Also won "Favorite 40" at Adirondack Car Enthusiasts show in June 2013, Glens Falls, NY. The only "downside" to this car is the fading/crazing of the paint on the hood and trunk, due to age and sun exposure over the years. The engine, its related components and the engine bay are in remarkable original condition, as is the trunk compartment. The intake manifold gasket was replaced in 2015. Both the intake and exhaust manifolds were professionally machined and repainted in their respective original blue and aluminum VHT paint colors. All lights, gauges and wipers are in proper working order, with exception of the gas gauge. A gas log has been meticulously kept with dates, mileage, usage, price per gallon, etc. and is driven weekly from April to October, averaging 325 miles per year from 2009 to 2017. Options include a black vinyl roof, wood grained sport steering wheel with rim-blow horn, lap and shoulder belts, and Music Master AM radio which is in perfect working condition. ESTIMATE: $8,000 - $12,500

1992 Jaguar XJS

Lot #741S (Sale Order 137 of 142)

Mechanically the car is in great condition, everything works, it starts, runs, and drives great. Tires have less than 4,000 miles on them. The air blows cold, and a new, heavy duty battery . The car has been rigorously serviced and is as nice (or nicer) than a lot of the XJS convertibles The power top and rear quarter windows wok perfectly. . The headliner is in nice condition new fabric top.bonnet like new, All in all the exterior is in very good condition. As far as the interior goes, the leather is excellent, as is the wood. The carpets nice, . Overall this is a no apology, better than "driver quality" classic car with no, repeat, no known mechanical faults, or other significant problems, garage kept, Low Reserve

1984 Mercedes-Benz SL380 1984 Mercedes-Benz SL380

1984 Mercedes-Benz SL380

Lot #743S (Sale Order 139 of 142)

The 380SL is a heady mix of V-8 power, refined luxury, and sporty underpinnings, and it was as a very popular model during its run and as a pre owned vehicle now.. Mercedes SL name plate has been associated with the best of the best in open air motoring. To this day, the Mercedes SL masterfully combines quality, performance, elegance and style. Blue leather seats are a nice upgrade over the more common MB Tex vinyl, giving the well-trimmed interior a more inviting look. There is a little normal seat wear, which you'd expect, but it's purely cosmetic with no splits or tears in the hides themselves and we kind of like the comfortable, lived-in look it has right now, making this car a little less formal and more inclined to have some fun. Big analog gauges remain fully functional, including the temperature gauge in the center A/C vent, which was factory equipment, not an aftermarket add-on..Everything works as it should: A/C, power windows, locks, and mirrors. Like all R107s, this SL comes with two tops, a brand new black canvas folding top and a removable hardtop that stores on a matching stand when not in use (which will likely be most of the time if you're doing it right). The trunk isn't huge, but it's beautifully finished and has enough room for a weekend's worth of baggage for two, and there's a full-sized spare tucked underneath. The exterior ICE BLUE METALLIC paint is in very good condition and works well in harmony with the dark blue leather and beautiful shinny chrome bumpers offering a classic profile that is uniquely Mercedes. 2000 Plymouth Prowler 2000 Plymouth Prowler

2000 Plymouth Prowler

Lot #747S (Sale Order 142 of 142)

2000 PLYMOUTH PROWLER In 1993 Chrysler presented a concept car called the Prowler. The Prowler was an updated version of a Hot Rod based on a 30’......s Ford. It was a big hit on the show circuit and Chrysler went to working on making a production version and selling it as a Plymouth. Based on a design by custom car genius “......Chip”...... Foose, the retro-roadster took shape. It would use the Chrysler LHS’...... 3.5 liter SOHC V-6 and the Prowler, with the 42LE Autostick semi-automatic transmission, would be the only, other than C5 Corvette, American car with a rear trans axle. This gave the Prowler true 50/50 balance. For auction we have an all original 2000 Plymouth Prowler, with a new set of tires, in Prowler black clear coat with black leather interior and a black fabric top. One of only 2746 produced this 2000 Prowler, with only 18,477 miles, has the upgraded aluminum block 3.5 V6 that make 253 HP and does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds. Though it may look and run like a Hot Rod, it offers all creature comforts of a luxury car. Power steering, power windows, power seats, power locks, power brakes, and A/C. A rare orphan/ collector car in top condition. ESTIMATE: $30,000-$35,000
