WELCOME TO THE AUCTION Lot #1 (Sale Order 1 of 451) Just to Reiterate from our terms and conditions: I do my best to estimate the grade/condition of the coins, but please note, unless specifically mentioned in the description, I do not guarantee grade or condition. I DO ALWAYS GUARANTEE 100% AUTHENTICITY, on an immediate buyback including any premium paid. But please understand, if you win a coin and receive it and send it out to one of the grading companies and it comes back graded less than I estimated or "genuine but Ungradeable", we will not buy back that coin. No refunds will be issued. Please understand this and look at the large pictures and make your own decision on the grade/condition. I do my best to give you my best estimate and your repeat attendance at my auctions is what I strive for, so I always attempt to give my best description/estimate of the coins being auctioned.

1966 Special Mint Set 40% Silver Half Dollar Without Box Lot #1.5 (Sale Order 2 of 451) 1966 Special Mint Set 40% Silver Half Dollar Without Box. In 1964, just when the mint was removing 90% silver coins from circulation, and the US was having a coin shortage, the Mint announced that beginning in 1965, no Proof Sets, or Mint Sets would be produced, Instead they would be making a Special Mint Set. Special Mint Set coins were not proofs, and were not uncirculated, Mint State pieces. Dies for the coins were over polished, while the planchet themselves were not polished. The resulting SMS coins have a brilliant, proof like appearance, much nicer than the run-of-the-mill circulation coins. In 1965 these sets were released in the Traditional Mint Cellophane and White Envelope and in 1966 and 1967 they were packaged in hard, pale blue plastic holders. Note, the set contains a 40% Half Dollar.

**Auction Highlight** Morgan & Peace $1 Mixed Roll Steel Strong Shotgun Wrapper w/Covered Ends (fc) Lot #98 (Sale Order 61 of 451) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan & Peace $1 Mixed Roll Steel Strong Shotgun Wrapper w/Covered Ends. Great Original Roll of Morgan & Peace Dollars. The Two ends are covered. Any dates & any condition possible inside. Note you will receive a roll completely similar to the photo. We have a large hoard of these rolls & they all look exactly alike. We have had great feedback on the rolls so far. Some lucky bidders have gotten key dates & PL's. The roll is held in an old "Steel Strong Automatic" Wrapper Dated from 1921. The Roll is also faintly stamped "Banker Trust of Philadelphia, Central City Office, Walnut Street at Juniper". I researched that name and the Bank closed in the post-Crash of '29 Depression period (my research showed that it failed on Dec 22, 1930). We received this incredible consignment from a private collector. The consignee gave us his father's entire estate hoard of shotgun rolled coins.

**Star Note 1957 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades f, fine Lot #182 (Sale Order 127 of 451) **Star Note 1957 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades f, fine. When notes are discovered that have been printed incorrectly (such as having the serial numbers upside down, etc.) the misprinted "error notes" are replaced with star notes because no two bills within a certain series can be produced with the same serial number. They are used to maintain a correct count of notes in a serial number run. By their nature, star notes are more scarce than notes with standard serial numbers and as such are widely collected by numismatists. Some of the highest prices paid for modern (post-1928) U.S. banknotes have been for star notes. The note itself is a Silver Certificate. They were redeemable in Silver. One of their most distinctive qualities is the blue Treasury seal and serial numbers. These notes include an additional legend printed on the face that is not present on any other Federal Reserve notes. The legend states that Silver had been deposited in the Treasury and was payable on demand to the note’s bearer.

***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1895 & 'o', Better than average circ (fc) Lot #205 (Sale Order 143 of 451) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1895 & 'o', Better than average circ. Great Original Roll of Morgan Dollars. The Two ends showing are the obverse of an 1895 and the other end has a 'o' New Orleans Mint Reverse. We received this incredible consignment from a private collector while at the Baltimore show. The consignee gave us his father's entire estate hoard of shotgun rolled coins. We have had great feedback on the rolls so far. Your choice to open the shotgun roll or leave it as is, but if you do open the Roll, please let us know what you find. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away lot.

***Auction Highlight*** Incredible Find, Unc Morgan $1 Shotgun Roll w/1889 & cc mint ends (fc) Lot #250 (Sale Order 177 of 451) ***Auction Highlight*** Incredible Find, Unc Morgan $1 Shotgun Roll w/1889 & cc mint ends . Great Original Brilliant Uncirculated Roll of Morgan Dollars. The Two ends showing are the obverse of a 1889, and the other end has a 'cc' Carson City Mint Reverse.

1966 Special Mint Set 40% Silver Half Dollar Without Box Lot #293 (Sale Order 224 of 451) 1966 Special Mint Set 40% Silver Half Dollar Without Box.

***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1879 & 'cc', Better than average circ (fc) Lot #302 (Sale Order 231 of 451) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan dollar roll ends 1879 & 'cc', Better than average circ. Great Original Roll of Morgan Dollars. The Two ends showing are the obverse of an 1879 that's near unc, and the other end has a 'cc' Carson City Mint Reverse. ***Auction Highlight*** 1837 Feuchtwanger Hard Times Token 1c Graded Choice+ Unc by USCG (fc) Lot #320 (Sale Order 246 of 451) ***Auction Highlight*** 1837 Feuchtwanger Hard Times Token 1c Graded Choice+ Unc by USCG. Incredibly scarce and highly sought example of this early american rarity. The 1837 Feuchtwanger Hard Times token is one of the most sought issues of US coinage that was not struck by the US itself. Private Coinage was made illegal shortly after the end of the civil war. This example has an average strike for the issue, and any apparent wear is acually the usual weal strike of the issue. As with most private issues during the 1830's hard Times period and the Civil war Token ear, a soft strike was the norm and a strong strike the exception. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin

***Auction Highlight*** 1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Choice Unc (fc) Lot #336 (Sale Order 259 of 451) ***Auction Highlight*** 1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Choice Unc. The 27-p is the big sleeper of numismatics in my opinion. It has the 2nd lowest mintage in the whole Peace dollar series. Lower than the 34-s, the 21-p, yet it does not command its proper value. Good coin to own multiple of and save, in my opinion, but if you've been coming to our auctions for a while you will have seen that this has always been my opinion.

1928 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Sigs Tate/Mellon Grades vf++ Lot #342 (Sale Order 264 of 451) 1928 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Sigs Tate/Mellon Grades vf++. 1928 $1 silver certificates do come in several different blocks. The most common block is the AA block, the IA, JA, KA, and LA blocks also exist, and these are scarcer. The lowest serial number notes were presented to important officials in Washington DC. These were given out in sheets of 12. There are still some uncut sheets that exist. All 1928 one dollar silver certificate notes feature a portrait of George Washington at center and a blue seal on the left hand side of the note. All 1928 $1 silver certificates are known as “funnybacks.” They get this name from their distinctive back design.

**Auction Highlight** Morgan & Peace $1 Mixed Roll Steel Strong Shotgun Wrapper w/Covered Ends (fc) Lot #454 (Sale Order 352 of 451) ***Auction Highlight*** Morgan & Peace $1 Mixed Roll Steel Strong Shotgun Wrapper w/Covered Ends.

**Star Note 1957 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades f, fine Lot #466 (Sale Order 361 of 451) **Star Note 1957 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades f, fine.

1966 Special Mint Set 40% Silver Half Dollar Without Box Lot #473 (Sale Order 367 of 451) 1966 Special Mint Set 40% Silver Half Dollar Without Box.

1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Select Unc Lot #591 (Sale Order 435 of 451) 1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Select Unc. The 27-p is the big sleeper of numismatics in my opinion. It has the 2nd lowest mintage in the whole Peace dollar series. Lower than the 34-s, the 21-p, yet it does not command its proper value. Good coin to own multiple of and save, in my opinion, but if you've been coming to our auctions for a while you will have seen that this has always been my opinion. semi key date
