Boxed American Flyer prewar 3/16 O gauge 4117 steam freight set w/ 570 Hudson Lot #633 (Sale Order 34 of 535) Fantastic set to include 570 4-6-4 New York Central Hudson steam locomotive and tender, red 494 baggage, 495 coach, 496 Pullman coach and 497 Pullman observation cars. The two Pullman cars have marks left on their roofs on each end, possibly from a rubber band stretched around the car for whatever reason but it caused issues with the paint that may be able to be resolved by buffing or polishing. The trains are clean, C6-7 with good to excellent original boxes. The set box has some surface skinning on the label side and one top flap.

These are extremely nice cars with a few minor rubs but extraordinarily clean with super lettering on both sides, C7+. The loco and tender are C6. Includes three straight track sections and an uncoupling track section and lots of transformer instruction sheets. The locomotive box is possibly incorrect as there is writing denoting it as an Atlantic type loco. The inner flap is stamped B1016 and there is no legible stamp on either end. The tender box is very good to excellent with a tear to one tuck flap seam.

Unusual Marx Army Supply train set with detailed four-wheels trucks Lot #720 (Sale Order 123 of 535) Set is extremely nice and clean and the cars are all equipped with locking couplers. The cars all have four wheel detailed trucks. Set consists of 2-4-2 500 steam locomotive, 500 Army tender, Army anti-aircraft flat car, field gun flat car, siege gun flat car, machine gun flat car, Army searchlight car and Supply Train Official observation car, all appear to have little to no run time and are C8+ but do not have any original boxes, just some boxes with home made inserts to keep the trains nice. Marx specialist John Fox has told me that these trucks were all custom made and that these trains would never have come with these type of trucks on them.

Fantasy Lionel postwar 1656 0-6-0 steam switcher w/ tender and original rare work caboose Lot #757 (Sale Order 160 of 535) The locomotive was created by Dave Christianson as he said that it was one of them shown in one of Lionel's 1946 consumer catalog on the next-to-last page but was never produced. The one here is an 0-6-0 switcher with a 6403B slope back tender and a 2420 D.L. & W. work caboose with a light gray frame and dark gray cab & tool boxes that is all original and was a later piece as pointed out by noted collector and variation historian, Bob Pasztor. The caboose is a very scarce variation and is C7.

The plate on one side is bronze on the outside but brushed aluminum on the underside as seen through the door. The car is serial numbered -511 and includes a good cellophane front box and correspondence back and forth from Joe Bak to Hugo Kuehn ensure that his car was legit. There were a total of 92 of these cars that were done for the 1967 TCA convention with A.T. & S.F. -700 cars, there were several other cars done with this being the fifth hardest to find. there were five cars done that had seven or less examples including one that was a prototype.

Lionel 31777 postwar reproduction 2124W GG-1 Madison car set in original box Lot #972 (Sale Order 381 of 535) Set is a modern reproduction of one of the postwar eras most beautiful sets. Includes a Brunswick green 2332 GG-1 and three 2625 Irvington heavyweight Pullman cars. Loco is unrun but has roof rubs on the highest area of the roof plus small spots on the sides that appear to be oil spots. The pantographs are still sealed and were never installed. The passenger cars may have been test run but nothing more than that. Strangely, one axle has come loose from one truck and will need to be put back into place by the new owner, cars look C9-10 otherwise. the set box and inner boxes are all excellent and includes all original paperwork.

The motor has two loose wire leads that will need to be hooked up as well but the drive all looks very nice and intact. Also includes a 3610 depressed center flat car with die cast trucks and coupler packet, both in very good original boxes, no instructions.

Rare General Models O scale 4-4-2 Atlantic steam w/ tender kit in OBs Lot #1100 (Sale Order 513 of 535) A rare and fantastic find, dates to 1948. This kit is complete with only the brass cab sheet metal pieces assembled. The kit comes in three separate boxes with many parts. All packets are sealed although one has some tears in it from years of the boiler sitting on top of it. The total package weighs around 7 lbs and will make a fantastic looking steam locomotive and tender of almost all brass construction.

Unidentified On3 brass 2-6-0 steam locomotive and tender Lot #1101 (Sale Order 514 of 535) Loco and tender are unrun and primered, ready to be painted and decorated. The loco does have a small lens for the headlight and a grain of wheat light that looks like it needs to be installed by the new owner. There is no headlight lens. The boiler front can easily come off as can the mesh screen top of the smoke stack. The tender may be missing pieces as there are some small slots in the coal bin area. Sold as-is as seen in the photos with no returns.
