This unit does come on and turntable will move, needle will drop and if you put your ear to needle while turning you can hear music. But, it does not transfer sound to stereo. So, no sound will come out of stereo unit. You are buying this unit as it is. It appears to have some sort of wiring issue. I have included a video of it.
