Bore condition is average. Overall condition is average. Comes with ram in place. Stock shows some checking, has mars. Lock operates. Sights are V notch rear and blade type front. Barrel is part octagon and part round. Metal parts are in the white and show brown patina. Stock has been sanded.

This is a cap and ball.

N. Starr Sabre. This sabre was contracted in 1812/13. It is a plain curved, flat blade with a clipped point. Blade length is 34-1/4". The iron hilt has a leather grip. The P proof is found on the outside of the knuckle bow near the bend. The iron scabbard has two narrow bands with rings and thin drag. Blade has been used to chop and has lots of dings to cutting edge. Inspector's letters are HHP (Henry Perkins). Overall condition is below average.

Comes with brass patch box and brass hardware including U.S. marked butt plate. Guard and barrel bands are brass. Comes with brass tipped rod. Lock operates properly. Stock is walnut with bumps and dings. Bore is dark. Overall condition is above average. 15,000 in this contract. Front sight is missing. Has bayonet lug in place.

Ames 1832 Foot Artillery Sword. This is dated 1856 with RHKW inspection mark. Also has the inspector's initials of J.H. This is considered the large block address. Overall condition is well above average. Blade length is 19" with an overall length of 25". Handle and guard are one piece brass with the fish scale look. Blade is 1-3/4" at ricasso. Comes with cast eagle on pummel. Leather sheath is in good shape. Stitching has separated and brass braids have fallen out. Tip of blade has indication that it was heated at one time.

These conversions were done between 1840 and 1860's. Has rod in place.

General Harry T. Hays received orders from Gen. Early to advance upon the federal fortifications surrounding Cemetery Hill. Framed measurements are 25-3/4" x 21-1/2".

Guard and handle cap have the number 42 in place. The guard bow carries the maker's, F.S.S., initials, as well as an inspector's letter "S". Overall conditiion is above average. No scabbard. Blade has turned a brown patina. A few mars to cutting edge.

Buckmaster No. 3, 1845 Pattern Officer's Sword. This was made in London, England with a blade length of 32-5/8" and an overall length of 38-1/8". Blade is engraved and proofed "WB" in inlet circle with gold base. Looks to be British crown on both sides of blade. Guard is brass, Handle is ray skin with brass braided wire wrapping. The left side of front guard rotates to protect thumb. Scabbard appears to be brass or copper coated steel. It is also marked, "Dudley Grand Parade Portsmouth". Has a few dents with an overall condition of above average. Blade shows medium rust pitts with lots of age overall. Handle is missing 1/2" piece at top.

Blade is highly engraved with a canon and vine and leaf pattern on one side and the other is stars with E. Plurubus Unum on other. Blade is marked "Walscheid". Blade length is 30-1/4" with an overall length of 34-3/4". Blade is in excellent condition with little patina. Handle is carved bone. Guard and pommel are steel. Wire link guard is in place. Handle has a chip where it meets pommel. There is a horizontal crack where handle meets guard. Scabbard is steel and has a place for leather frog attachment. Scabbard has patina over all but is in excellent shape. Overall shape of sword is excellent and rare in this form.

French Napoleonic Era Light Cavalry Sword. Blade length is 35" with an overall length of 40-1/4". Handle is wood with grooves. Has is reinforced iron. Hand guard is iron and well colored with patina. Blade is back cut at tip. Blade condition is well above average with a few dents to edge. No scabbard.

N. Starr Cavalry Sword. This 1812/13 sword is H.H.P. inspected and carries the "P" proof. Blade length is 34" with overall length of 39-1/8". Overall condition is above average. Blade has light patina. Reverse P guard and hilt are iron. Handle is leather wrapped. Some of the leather has fallen off. Scabbard is steel with two steel rings for hangers. Condition of scabbard is well above average.

U.S. Model of 1861 Contract Musket in .58 Caliber. This is a 3 band rifle/musket with a barrel length of 39" and an overall length of 55". Stock is walnut. Barrel bands are steel. Butt plate is brass. Rear sight elevates to 800 yards. Overall condition is average or above. The maker's mark is an eagle over a shield with and M in the center. It has a Weller collection tag attached to trigger bow (#471).

Overall condition is well above average. Comes in leather sheath with brass fittings. These were considered the Yataghan sword.

U.S. Flintlock Musket Converted to Percussion in .69 Caliber. This is a Nathan Starr of Middletown, CT. Lock is dated 1832. This is a smooth bore with a 41-1/2" barrel length. Comes with 3 barrel bands of steel. Butt plate is steel. Conversions were done by U.S. arsenals from 1840's through the 1860's. This musket has the French style plug or "side lug". Bore is dark. Overall condition is at above average. Stock has a crack at the wrist on the right side only. Cartouche is visible.
