Original Czech ZB-37 (ZB53) Machine Gun on Original Tripod Lot #168 (Sale Order 172 of 374) The ZB-53 was a very versatile machine gun used by the Czechoslovak army designated TK vz. 37 (TK means tezky kulomet, heavy machine gun. vz means vzor, Model) and later used by German forces during World War II as the MG 37(t). It was used as both a squad support weapon and a mounted machine gun for tanks and other armoured vehicles. This is a Czech Manufactured ZB-37 and is a non-firing fixed/demilled Machine gun per BATF Specs. The ZB vz Model 1937 was a masterpiece of design and machine work. The tripod alone may be the most complex of the WWII collection and it includes an antiaircraft extension. The anti-aircraft setup allows the gun to be displayed above ground-mount machine guns in a display. The ZB37 so impressed the British authorities that it was copied as the BESA machine gun for use in armored vehicles. // This Gun is Large & Very heavy -- Will ship but may require delivery or freight arrangements as it is too big to be boxed // The gun is in amazing condition and has a small amount of surface rust and dust from sitting but will clean up easily and make a beautiful display gun for any store or museum, or even your personal collection - See pictures for all the markings & Serial #s

RARE 12ga Slamfire Richardson Industries M5 Philippine Guerrilla Gun "A GUN TO GET A GUN" Lot #171 (Sale Order 175 of 374) This is a beautiful & perfect example of a rare Richardson Industries M5 Guerilla gun aka a slam-fire 12 gauge, brought back from the bushes of the Philippines. Iliff D. “Rich” Richardson was born the son of a Methodist minister in 1918. He learned basic survival skills as part of Boy Scout Troop 92 in Los Angeles, and attended Compton Junior College in the 1930s before joining the Navy in 1940. Stationed in the Philippines when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, Rich was assigned to PT-34, an ‘expendable’ 77-foot plywood motor torpedo boat. After the craft was sunk in April 1942 by Japanese aircraft, Rich and the remaining crew went ashore and fought first with the US Army then later with Philippine guerrillas once the main US force at Corregidor surrendered // In 1946, he founded Richardson Industries in East Haven Connecticut to sell his Model R5 Philippine Guerrilla Gun // To load this 12-gauge shotgun, you just pulled the long barrel out of the breech guide tube and dropped a shell into the breech end. After that, you carefully slid the barrel back into the receiver to have a loaded gun. To fire, the user grabbed the barrel and pushed it forward, then slammed it back fairly hard into the breechblock—and then held on tight. The only thing locking the breech closed when the round fired would be the strong hand pushing on the grip and the other hand pulling on the barrel. To keep the gun from going bang with every little bump, a small lever that is mistaken for a trigger held the barrel in place and kept it from slamming back.
