Jacob is a 10 year old boy who was diagnosed with a large brain tumor the size of a golf ball. Jacob underwent 7 hours brain surgery to remove the tumor. The tumor was confirmed as Medulloblastoma, a very aggressive brain cancer in children. He was enrolled on a pioneering St Jude Children’s Research Hospital protocol: SJMB12: A Clinical and Molecular Risk-Directed Therapy for Newly Diagnosed Medulloblastoma and was treated with radiation and chemotherapy. Jacob was treated with St. Jude protocol here in Orlando at a local Children’s Hospital. Today, Jacob is a 5th grader who is doing very well. He loves basketball, reading and being the comedic center of attention. Oh, and he also loves cars, all kind of cars!
In gratitude for St Jude, Jacob and his family are donating a 1929 Ford Model A car, beautifully restored and fully functional to be auctioned for St Jude benefit. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The family is forever grateful for all the help and support St Jude medical team has provided Jacob.
