Grouping of WWII B-29 Flight Engineer papers etc Lot #626 (Sale Order 29 of 525) Paperwork named to WWII B-29 flight engineer Tech/Master Sergeant Benjamin L. Kasper with the 794th bomb squadron / 468th bomb group of the 20th Army Air Force. Includes paperwork for Distinguished Flying Cross (medal not present) for valor June 5th 1945 while participating in daylight incindiary bombing mission over Kobe, Japan. Record of combat duty sheet shows combat missions while assigned to the 794th BS. In August 1945 the 794th was the ONLY 20th Air Force Squadron all of whose planes were SCHEDULED and bombed the primary target on EVERY mission flown that month. A rare accomplishment with an airplane dependent on such unreliable engines, (Curtiss-Wrights R-3350). Includes a photo of period nose art of the B-29 Belle Ringer but he was not on the crew of the Belle Ringer.

Fantastic WWII Named Bomber Jacket with Painted Front and Back Lot #726 (Sale Order 129 of 525) Type A-2 property of Air Force, US Army, Bronco Manufacturing Co. NY, NY, size 38. name on inside is Spencer, name of plane is Miss Dinah Might. Painted left breast emblem is a wolf in a uniform with a cigarette in one hand throwing a bomb with the opposite hand. Also included with the jacket is what could very well be photos of the owner and crew although the jacket only has Spencer written in it. There are photos of a B-17 crew with one of the members being a W. H. Spencer who was a pilot who eventually flew a P-47 and then a P-51 but was the , according to the photos in the album as hhas regular pilot wings, not gunner, bombardier or other crew wing.

Landon. The nagato was the only Japanese Imperial Navy battleship to survive WWII. It ios possible that one of the swords in this auction is the one that was captured but there is no way of us knowing which one.

WWII US Soldier Grouping Melvin S. Miller Bataan Zig Zag Pass 38th Inf. Div. Lot #911 (Sale Order 316 of 525) Melvin was a member of the 38th infantry and was onbe of a group of four men in an ordnance team to traverse 1 1/2 miles of jungle to retrieve a 120mm Japanese mortar, previously unknown to Army technicians. The group carried out the three parts which weighed 1000 lbs in all with the base plate weighing 400 lbs. There are several newspaper clippings including two original official press releases, a captured Japanese "Good Luck" flag that has been translated by Boise State University. The text on the flag reads "Presented to Mr. Yasuo Nakatani, Pray for a warrior's luck forever, Bakuro-cho Youth Association" it is signed by a group of friends, relatives and neighbors for good luck in the war. There are 28 names on the flag. The translation page comes along with the grouping which also has and immunization register, paper money from the United States, Philippines, Japan, Canada and Commonwealth of Australia, Elgin Timer pocketwatch that is running but has issues, Camp Shelby 1941 Pictorial History of the Thirty-Eighth Division, 38th Infantry Division Avengers of Bataan and a grouping of personal photographs taken during his time in the service. The Crew members items being sold are from Lt. Marshall J. Rare Focke-Wulf 109 Factory Building Manual Taken by US GI After Occupation Lot #913 (Sale Order 318 of 525) Incredible book with wax seals in the front, many photographs, diagrams, cut away diagrams, machine gun sketches, specifications and much more. The book is 1/2" thick and has lots of fantastic information inside. The pages are all binder type with holes punched on the lefty side. Inside there were three swatches of material, one of them has a not written on it, "I cut this skin from the tail assembly of a Focke Wulf #109 at the plant in Bremen Germany. The factory is destroyed beyond recognition; just a pile of rubble. 1945". What a time capsule piece. the outside of the manual is in poor condition, the inside is in great shape.

Grouping of WWII US Air Force Pilot MIA Bob Tucker Diaries Shot Down April 24, 1944 Lot #978 (Sale Order 383 of 525) Includes five diaries from B-24 turret gunner 2nd Lt. Robert Charles Tucker, who was shot down with the rest of his crew on April 24, 1944 on a bombing raid near Munich close to Liege, Belgium. He was rescued by French and Belgian underground and eventually made it to Switzerland and back home. The diararies includes two hardbound from before and one from after he was shot down as well as three softbounds that detail from April 24 -May 24 in two volumes, then another that recounts July 24 through August 15 while he is in Switzerland. The time from May 25 through July 23 is missing which was the time that he made it through the web of evil to where he was in moderate safety. These are highly detailed accounts of his being helped and hidden by the French / Belgian underground resistance. Diaries cover 1942 through 1944 but are missing the crucial time when his life was in peril as Nazis were hunting him and others that had been shot down. There are also several newspaper clipping from the states regarding this miraculous story including one from ten years after the war where he returned to Europe to visit the people who had helped him escape.

Kaiser Wilhelm Signed Autographed Document 1909 Plus Another Lot #1108 (Sale Order 513 of 525) Excellent condition paper and signature with seal / stamp on the bottom left and is a confirmation from the state (2nd Reich) that Dr Doye has been appointed as a state assessor having proven his worthiness by passing the required exams to hold such a high governmental position, dated June 1, 1909. Measures 8 1/4" x 13". The second document has been rolled up for a long time and does have some damage. It dates to 1862 but we cannot translate it.
