One of the finest examples of a near mint Fox Sterlingworth in original condition with original box accompanied by factory letter; manufactured in 1927 in Philadelphia, PA; this 12 gauge has 28 inch barrels; choked full and modified; solid rib with steel bead; 2.75 inch chamber; extractor; double trigger; 14.5 inch LOP to black hard pad; 3 inch drop at heel; splinter forearm; retains almost all of its original case color with some thinning on bottom of receiver; original blue to Sterlingworth barrels is near perfect; wood is also near perfect with a special order name plate embedded in stock; this was not noted on factory letter, but does correspond with a special stamping on the original label on box; weighs 7 pounds one ounce; the condition of this Fox that is over 92 years old is extraordinary and to be accompanied by the original cardboard box with label intact makes this gun a true center piece for any Fox collection; original box is in excellent condition with cardboard inserts, label is near perfect but has been recently covered with clear tape; SN#108511
