.30-40 caliber, 30" barrel, S/N 430296 (Ca. 1903). Blued finish with military stock. Blade front sight with Model 1901 rear sight. Receiver marked with Springfield markings, serial number, and 1898 model markings. Stock shows very faint cartouche, mostly illegible. Includes bayonet.

Condition: Goof overall. Some thinning of bluing throughout with a light gunmetal coloration with some salt and pepper oxidation. Stock shows some handling marks and dents but it otherwise free of serious cracks and splits, some evidence of refinishing. Some grit in action. Bore is fair, some old fouling and light pitting with visible rifling.

Condition: Very good condition with a very good bore. There is a receipt explaining that 2 best friends were in a landing party and were attacked by a Japanese soldier who killed one of them. The other man killed the Japanese soldier and kept the rifle, bayonet, and his best friend's scabbard. It retains most of the original blue finish and the stock is very good with only minor dings and scratches.

Barrel shows very faint " JH/P " markings along with " STEEL " marking. Lockplate marked " REMINGTONS/HERKIMER/N.Y. " with " U.S./1853 " vertically rear of hammer. Counterpane shows two illegible oval inspection markings. Includes spare cone in patchbox. Replaced ramrod.

Condition: Fair. Barrel has a mixed pewter and oxidized finish with some pitting around breech. Sanded stock shows some handling marks and imperfections with a section of missing wood rear of breech. Mechanically functional but does fire on half cock. Bore is poor; old fouling and grime present with no visible rifling.

Includes unmarked type 99 bayonet with frog and reproduction muzzle cover.

Condition: Fair. Some thinning of finish with an overall gunmetal coloration and some old removed pitting. Stock has some minor blemishes consistent with surplus arms with a stable crack along top hand guard. Bore is fair to good; mostly bright with blended rifling.

.50-70 caliber, 32.5"barrel, no S/N. Bright finish with military stock fitted with two spring-retained barrel bands. Blade front sight with folding leaf rear sight. Screw-mounted trap door marked " 1866/EAGLE. " Counterpane shows script " FWS " cartouche of Frederick W. Sanderson, " ESA" of Erskine Allen, and possibly " HSH " of Henry Hill. Small block " A.B.C. " stamp rear of triggerguard. Missing ramrod.

Condition: Fair. Barrel has a mixed plumb and gunmetal patination with scattered areas of oxidation and pitting. Stock has numerous handling marks gouges, and imperfections throughout. Mechanically functional. Bore is fair; mostly dark with some old pitting and fouling along with what appears to be a ring of cratering approximately halfway through barrel. Visible rifling.

.30-06 caliber, 24" barrel, S/N 1426736 (Ca. 1933). Blued finish with sanded type "C" stock. Bladed front sight with Model 1903 rear sight. Barrel shows no date or other markings. Receiver marked with model, Springfield markings, and serial number. Left side of stock appears to have faint " RA " (Raritan Arsenal) rebuild stamp.

Condition: Fair. Finish has some minor thinning throughout with front barrel band and barrel showing a plumb colored patination. Stock appears to have been sanded, leaving some markings illegible but free of major cracks, splits, and other serious damage. Some sand-like grit in action. Bore is good; mostly bright with visible edges to rifling.

7.62x54mmR caliber, 29" barrel, S/N ??752 . Matching bolt appears to have been renumbered. Blued finish with solid stock. Hooded post front sight with tangent rear sight. Barrel shank marked with Soviet hammer and sickle, Soviet serial number, proofs, and Izhevsk manufacturing mark along with refurbish stamp. Left side of receiver marked with ATI import markings and serial number. Fitted with Soviet marked P/U scope S/N 76564 showing 1964 refurbish date.

Condition: Good. Some minor thinning of finish on sharp edges and working parts. Stock appears to have a replaced toe, likely done at the factory during refurbishment. Optics are very clear. Bore is good; somewhat dark with visible rifling. Some storage grime in action.

Integral iron pan, flat-faced cock with straight spur. Sling swivel mounted forward of rounded-end triggerguard. Barrel marked with " P/{EAGLE} " proof. Internal parts as well as frizzen and cock show matching "5" numerals. Lockplate marked with {eagle} over " US " in oval, along with " W.N.&S/PHILAD" vertically at rear. Counterpane shows " V" catrouche as well as serpentine " V/JS " stamp of James Stubblefield (Harpers Ferry, 1807-1818). Replacement button ramrod.

Winner, Nippes, and Steinman secured a contract to produce 9,000 muskets for the United States War Department in 1808. Just over 4,000 were believed to be delivered.

Condition: Poor overall. Barrel has an overall dull pewter patination with some pitting. Breech has numerous vice marks. Some additional evidence of cleaning. Middle barrel band spring missing. Stock shows evidence of significant moisture exposure deforming the grain along with some repairs rear of breech. Bore is poor; dark with some scattered pitting and grime.

It also included a method of supplying priming caps from a magazine within the firearm itself, potentially eliminating the need to carry loose primers in a separate pouch or container.

.64 caliber, 40" barrel, no S/N. Bored to smoothbore. Bright finish with military stock in type I configuration with screw-secured barrel bands. Blade front sight with folding leaf rear sight. Barrel marked with standard " V/P/{EAGLE} " proofs. Lockplate marked with American eagle, " U.S./SPRINGFIELD " and 1863 date behind hammer. Counterpane shows script " ESA " cartouche of Erskine Allen as well as script " JT " cartouche of John Taylor. Taylor was an inspector of Colt manufactured arms, and this stock may be a replacement.

Condition: Poor. Barrel has taken on a mixed gunmetal and light gray coloration with some scattered pitting, especially around breech. Stock has some handling marks and blemishes but is otherwise free of serious cracks and splits. Some missing wood rear of lockplate and rear of cone. Mechanically functional. Bore is poor; some old pitting scratching.

Creighton Audette was a renowned gunsmith and captain of the Palma Shooting Team who is better known for his development of the Ladder Test for the incremental method of hand-loading. G.P. Foster (1810-1874) manufactured the "Klein's Patent" needle guns around 1849 while operating his firm in Taunton, Massachusetts. A talented gunsmith, he would assist in the development of the Volcanic pistol and would manufacture arms such as the Porter turret rifle, Burnside carbine and Howard carbines.

16/20 gauge, 32" round barrel. Blued and case hardened finish, straight gripped-walnut stock with shotgun butt, smooth walnut forend. Standard three-line Remington address and patent markings on tang. Sources vary as to the period of production and number of these shotguns produced by Remington, but all agree production was very limited. One source even suggests that this particular variation was only produced for about one year. The guns were chambered to accept a 16 gauge glass shotgun shell or a 20 gauge paper shell.

Condition: Good. Barrel with a mottled, gray, oxidized patina with scattered surface discoloration and minor roughness. Receiver a darker gray tiny offensive case coloring. Mechanically functional, with a fine, bright bore. Stock crisp minor bumps, dings, and handling marks.

G.P. Foster (1810-1874) manufactured the "Klein's Patent" needle guns around 1849 while operating his firm in Taunton, Massachusetts. A talented gunsmith, he would assist in the development of the Volcanic pistol and would manufacture arms such as the Porter turret rifle, Burnside carbine and Howard carbines.

Condition: Good. Some oxidation to cleaned finish with some evidence of old removed pitting. Some parts of action appear missing such as firing pin and spring resulting in the bolt opening properly with latch but does not appear to close and fire normally. Stock shows some minor marks and blemishes along with some deeper scratches to right side of butt. Bore is good; some brightness with old pitting and grime. Visible rifling.

Several John Vincents were active in the gunsmithing industry between 1844-1900. These included a John Vincent in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as a John Vincent in Washington County, Ohio, who is recorded as being active and producing percussion firearms from 1844-1842, and was subsequently succeeded by his son upon his death in 1882. This arm is likely the work of the elder Vincent from Washington County.

Condition: Fair. Barrel has a thin plumb patination with some thinning around sharp edges and stock bed. Some additional pitting around breech. Stock shows some minor handling marks with a repair rear of hammer. Some light rust pitting on lockplate. Not mechanically functional. Bore is fair; some brightness with old fouling and pitting. 9.75" spearpoint blade, 1" wide at ricasso, overall length 14.5". Correct unmarked blade with Third Reich Red Cross crest and orange synthetic grip. Nickel-plated aluminum mounts with round hanging fixings.

Condition: Good. Blade is mostly bright with some staining and pitting present. Grip is free of cracks and splits with some deformation of pommel nut. Scabbards show some darkening and pitting.

Condition: Good. Nearly all of the blued finish remains with some wear to muzzle and minor removed pitting. Barrel may have been reblued. Some additional thinning of finish on slide. Bore is good; some old grime with visible rifling.

Condition: Good. Overall pewter patina with some light oxidation. Grips are in good condition and are free of cracks and splits. Mechanically functional. Bore is fair; mostly bright, likely cleaned. Nearly obliterated worn rifling.
