She is wearing very elaborate antique folklore costume with metal ornaments at the laced bodice, elaborate coiffe, original blouse, skirt, apron, stockings and little leather shoes with silver buckles. Marks: 1079-1 Germany S&H dep. Excellent condition. Simon and Halbig, circa 1900, rare to find original costume in such fine state of preservation and detail.

Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, richly-painted lashes and brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, wearing lovely ivory silk satin dress with matching bonnet, curly-mohair capelet, undergarments including laced bebe stays, Jumeau stockings and shoes. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 8 (and artist checkmarks). Generally excellent, there is a repaint on the upper forehead which is likely simply cosmetic over a rub or blemish because inspection inside the head reveals no damage or hairline.
