Waist-up porcelain lady with very slender torso, her face turned sharply to the side to accentuate the angular cut of her bobbed brown hair with defined separation lines at the bangs, brown side-glancing eyes, gold earrings. She is posed with arms bent at the elbow and holding a masquerade mask. Marks: (blue bishop staff stamp). Excellent condition. Germany, Dressel, Kister, circa 1925, the highly-stylized coiffure was known as the Lulu Bob in reference to the early silent film star Lulu Brooke. The minimalist half-doll is highly sophisticated in its modeling and presence, this example notable for its brown hair.

Porcelain full figure of young child posed upon self-base with gilt tasseled border, flowing brown hair captured beneath a pale lavender Charlotte cap with yellow ribbons which match the yellow ribbon at her throat, sculpted costume with transfer flower print pinafore having three rows of ruffles, pink shoes, with extended arms, each holding a pot filled with colorful Dresden flowers, and with a purple sack at the side with still more flowers. The costume decoration continues around the back with open pinafore. Marks: (Royal Vienna beehive mark). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1915. Curiously, other examples of the identical model are marked with the Dressel and Kister bishop staff blue stamp and model 4836.

Waist-up porcelain nude lady with elaborately-waved brown sculpted hair captured in a chignon that is wrapped with aqua ribbon, her arms bent at the elbows, extended from her body and held modestly in front of her bosom. The half-doll is wearing a gilt metallic halter which is attached to a flared metallic frame designed to appear as her skirt, and which covers the porcelain vanity bowl. The bowl frame is marked "Bte SGDG Depose" and the bowl is stamped "M-Fre Limoges France". Excellent condition. Dressel & Kister half-doll for the French market, circa 1920, the elegant lady is beautifully-fitted to the metal-filigree gilt frame.

Marks: 10395 (incised) Heubach (block letters, blue stamp and incised mark) Wera Bartels (incised on side). Excellent condition. Heubach, early 1900s, sculpted by Wera von Bartels, the German Impressionist sculptor (1886-1922) whose works mainly centered on bronze animals, this being a superb and rare departure.
