From the Felix Collection... "...So goes the story with the next “find” that Felix had while driving by a Chevy dealership in the mid ’60s. In the back lot Felix noticed a 1954 Chevy Pickup. He instantly pulled in to inquire about the vehicle. The salesman thought he was joking when he said that he would take the vehicle then and there. After getting the truck home, Felix performed a full restoration and made the truck like new. Once more, he did this because, in his own words he “needed a vehicle to move chopped firewood.” It just happened that every time he stopped to gas up, he would get a crowd of onlookers, all inquiring about his truck. Felix purchased his Healey and, in fact, was one of the first to purchase the vehicle brand new in 1960 in the United States. The AustinHealey 3000 was mechanically superior to any sports car of its day, and it had turned the head of Felix for that very reason. The best known of all the “Big Healeys,” the 3000 was a true sports car, with a thoroughbred pedigree. Made in the same plant as the MG, the 3000 was a completely different beast. It was a car that was built to race, but be driven by anyone. Less than 2000 Miles on new motor 3 Speed Auto Slap Shift Engine Dyno 384.9HP Torque to the wheels 420HP Just about everything mechanically new including a factory under dash wiring harness. New headliner, carpet, seats. New Steering Box New Racing Torque Converter New Dual Electric Fans New Starter New ignition switch New Alternator New Shocks New Sway Controls New, NEW, NEW. She’s a fast car and a true runner not a Barrett Jackson car but one killer paint job would be about all it needs to get there. The current paint job is the only thing that could be better. It looks fine but up close you can tell it could be better. Not a show car but a real get up and GO CAR! Car is 98% complete. Could use a Vacuum Reserve Canister for brake boost because of Cam overlap pulling vacuum from the booster causing a lack of vacuum to the Booster. The slap Shifter takes some getting use to because of how it functions and the shifter cover has not been tied down. Have a folder full of receipts for all work done and Dyno test. From the seller... "1967 Original Olds Cutlass Supreme 330 Olds Jet Fire engine. Automatic 2 Speed Power-glide Transmission 82,372 Original Miles. Car is all tuned up and seems to run decent. Has all new shocks all the way around. Fresh oil filter change plugs, wires, cap & rotar. Car will need tires as it still appears to have the original tires on it. Car is very clean for the most part. Frame and body are really quite clean. Perfect light winter project for a car well worth the time to have as a nice 3 season classic cruiser. You won’t be disappointed by this car. From a few feet away it’s hard to tell there is any body issues at all as they are minimal in front, and back is little more work. Driver side Lower 1/4 and 2 body mounts will be needed also lower front panel behind tire on driver side also could use some work. Passenger side body mounts are good and look to have been done previously. Not sure why driver side wasn’t done. YouTube for you and you can view it there. Car has had one previous paint job in original color. Only front bench seat has been recovered. The rest of the car appears original, and the chrome is in great condition.
