Very high condition, antique Colt, SAA Revolver, .45 Colt. This is a beautiful Colt, confirmed by the accompanying Colt Archive Letter as a .45 caliber with a 4 3 ,4" barrel, blue finish and hard rubber stocks that was shipped to E.K. Tryin of Philadelphia on September 3, 1895 with a total of 5 similar revolvers. Serial Number 162212 matches on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. This 6-shot revolver has approximately 90% of the original Colt factory bluing and approximately 75% of the factory case colors. All of the markings are sharp and clear. The screw heads show very minimal use and the front sight is full. The grips fit perfectly and are original to this revolver. The action functions flawlessly and the bore is very nice. The floral carved belt has 47 spots, the Heiser stamp on the billet, 23 loops for large caliber cartridges, a nickel rectangular buckle and measures 48" tip to tip. The Holster is attached to the Belt in a Buscadero style using a tooled swivel and hanger. The matching floral carved Holster is made for a Colt SAA Revolver with a 5 1 ,2" barrel. It has 3 large conchos with 5-point Texas Stars and leather latigo strings. There are 14 spots on the Holster, single loop and hold down strap.

Attractive antique Colt, SAA Revolver, etched panel, .44 ,40 caliber, ivory stocks. This 6-shot revolver, SN 81749 is confirmed by the accompanying Colt Archive letter as a .44 ,40 with barrel length not listed, nickel finish, stocks not listed and was shipped to the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in New Haven, Connecticut on August 15, 1882 in a shipment of 50 guns. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. There is a high percentage of original nickel finish remaining, with very good bore. All of the factory applied markings are clear and readable. The etched panel is all visible and reads "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". The undersized ivory stocks match the age of the revolver and are in excellent condition with beautiful age cracking and color. KING COLLECTION.

Historical, engraved Man's Open Face Pocket Watch with documentation it was once owned by Hollywood Icon, John Wayne. Movement is marked "17 Jewel , Waltham". Case is manufactured by Roy Co., and marked "14K , 585 ,1000 , FINE , SN 023153." Back of case is heavily engraved with a single bird and initials "J.W." Two documents will accompany this watch, including a framed Letter signed by Jennifer Witt, wife of William (Bill) Witt. "September 24, 1997 , To Whom It May Concern: My husband William (Bill) Witt worked as a stagehand for several movie studios. During his career, which started in the 1930s and ended in the 1960s, he worked for MGM, Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox. Bill was a very personable man and was befriended by many of the stars he worked for." The letter goes on to say, "This Waltham Pocket Watch belonged to Mr. John Wayne. The Pocket Watch was given to Bill by Mr. Wayne during the filming of "Trouble Along The Way". Mr. Wayne gave it to Bill as a gift after Bill had helped Mr. Wayne with his car which had a flat tire out in the studio parking ." Rare and historical Traveling Dressing Kit in burl walnut, hinged lid Box with brass trim and silver plaque inlaid in top that reads "LUKE SHORT , WHITE ELEPHANT , SALOON , FT. WORTH, TEXAS". Box contains a mirror in the lid, in fitted bottom portion of the box is a silver wash bowl with various straight razors and other tools, boot pulls, button hook, nail buffer, various jars for pomades, tonic water, etc. The box measures 10 1 ,2" long x 6 3 ,8" wide x 4 1 ,4" tall. The White Elephant Saloon was considered one of the roughest saloons and gambling halls in Texas. Established in 1884 by owner F.A. Borodino, in the 300 block of Main St., Ft. Worth. One year later it was reopened as a saloon and billiard parlor. February 8, 1887 Jim Courtright called out Luke Short for a famous gun fight. Luke Short was an American Old West gunfighter, cowboy, U.S. Army Scout, dispatch rider, gambler, boxing promoter and saloon owner. He survived numerous gunfights, the most famous of which were against Charlie Storms in Tombstone, AZ Territory and against Jim Courtright in Ft. Worth, Texas. (Jan. 22, 1854 , September 8, 1893). Jim Courtright was nicknamed "The Two-Gun Marshall" of Ft. Worth. Further research would make this box an interesting conversation piece! KING COLLECTION.

One of only 1000 made, this is a very scarce .31 caliber, 5-shot revolver with a 4" octagon barrel and checkered gutta percha grips. The cylinder is etch engraved. The barrel address is clear and sharp. The action functions properly and the bore is good with some roughness. The Rosewood case is of the period and was later relined for this use. It contains a scarce Remington marked Flask, Eley Cap Tin with a few caps and a brass Bullet Mold. KING COLLECTION.

This Cabinet was manufactured by Walrus Manufacturing Co., Decatur, Illinois, for Winchester, circa 1900. Designed to display 20 long guns, with original "Winchester" marked (4 times), wooden barrel rack that holds barrels, has all its original wavy glass and brass door latch. This rare case was found by Mr. King in the small Texas town of Booker, just north of his home in Canadian and was stored in a wooden case which explains the fine condition of this rare Winchester artifact. Cabinet case measures 18" square, 73" tall with unusual glass cathedral top. Certainly the finest condition Cabinet of this type to surface in years. Original metal makers seal on bottom underneath the case "Walrus, Mfg." KING COLLECTION.

It has a scarce "Henry" marked 24" barrel with a blade front sight and a flip up rear sight. The "Henry's Patent" barrel markings are clear and readable. The brass frame has many scattered scrapes and dings and appears to have been darkened. The barrel and tube have traces of blue in protected areas. The wood forearm and stock fit very well and have only minor handling marks. The action functions properly and the bore is good. Clayton Moore's Bohlin Gun Rig, maker marked "Edward H. Bohlin, Burbank & Hollywood ", silver mounted double-Gun Rig with "CLAYTON MOORE , THE LONE RANGER , 1982-1986" tooled on the backside. Rig was made expressly for Clayton Moore and worn in numerous special appearances during the 80s. This Rig is identical to the Bohlin Gun Belt he wore as the Lone Ranger. It is mounted with round and square Bohlin Conchos separated by Bohlin's trademark silver spots. The Belt is attached by a 1 1 ,2", 3 piece, engraved sterling Buckle Set and the two Holsters are secured with 1 ,2" Ranger Sets. Holsters contain consecutive 4 3 ,4" .44 Special Colt SAA Revolvers, SN SA34015 and SN SA34016 with ivory longhorn grips and Colt Medallions. Rig includes 35 of the Lone Rangers trademark Sterling Silver "Bohlin" marked Bullets. Excellent condition. The Gun Belt and Colt Revolvers discussed here were legitimately owned and used by Clayton Moore in his last years of portraying the Lone Ranger, the masked man fighting for truth and justice. In the 1930s, the Dick Dickson, Dick Dickson, Jr. and Lady Dickson became the most popular parade styles made by the Bohlin company and remained so for the next quarter of a century. The King of the Cowboys, Roy Rogers ordered his Dick Dickson model in 1940 and rode it on his beloved Trigger for most of his movie and TV career. A Rose Parade favorite, this black floral carved Dick Dickson Jr. is built on a Miles City tree with 14" swells, 15" seat, 3 1 ,2" cantle and features Bohlin's trademark raised buffalo head on the silver horn. The regal 21" long tapaderos include every parader's requisite engraved silver caps. Antique Colt, SAA Revolver, .38 SPL caliber, 4 3 ,4" barrel, SN 135231, manufactured 1890, nickel finish with a later set of two piece ivory stocks. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The nickel finish was applied after market. The barrel and cylinder are replacements and the front sight has been lowered. No address appears on the barrel, the frame markings are clear. The number "4" and "CAL" appear on the front trigger guard bow, likely indicating the original caliber was a .44 ,40. The name "Robert J. LeBlanc" appears neatly inscribed on the right side of the frame and "Bob" is inscribed on the bottom of the trigger guard. The history of the previous owner is unknown at this time. KING COLLECTION.

Serial number 386825 is confirmed by the accompanying Cody Museum Letter as a .38 caliber (.38 WCF or .38 ,40), 30" octagon barrel, set trigger, checkered stock, pistol grip, graduated peep and wind gauge sights, Swiss butt plate, shipped 6-1-1891. The letter shows "Under remarks: Nickel". A deluxe special order '73 with 30" octagon barrel, full magazine, ivory bead front sight missing the bead, empty rear dovetail and a thin base graduated tang sight with 4" staff. Receiver has single set trigger. The stocks are very highly figured walnut with H-styled checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with black inlay at grip cap and nickeled brass Swiss butt plate. Left side of lower tang, under the wood is marked with assembly number "2622" and "XX". Matching assembly number is also found in top tang channel of the butt stock and inside butt plate. Receiver, side plates, forend cap, magazine band and butt plate are nickel finish. Receiver screws appear to be modern replacements. Winchester '73 rifles with extra length barrels with deluxe and half nickel features are extremely rare. All surfaces retain virtually all of a fine professionally restored finish with strong blue and bright modern nickel. Wood is beautiful and fits perfectly at the tang and also retains fine restored finish. The action functions properly and it has a bright shiny bore. KING COLLECTION.

Extremely Scarce Antique Colt Burgess, Lever Action Rifle, .44 ,40. Confirmed by the accompanying Colt Archive Letter, SN 3060 is a .44 ,40 caliber, octagon barrel, blue finish and wood stocks, shipped to Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett Co. in Chicago on December 24, 1883. This is a standard grade rifle with 25 1 ,2" octagon barrel, full length magazine, nickel silver front sight, Colt semi-buckhorn rear sight. Left side of receiver has the Rampant Colt roll marking. The octagon barrel has sharp markings and edges and a good bore. The walnut stock is in excellent condition with only minor bumps and dings and has a crescent butt plate with trap. According to "The Book of Colt Firearms, Wilson", there were 6,403 Burgess Arms produced 1883-1885 of which only 3,810 were rifles. Although the rifle was contemporary to the Winchester 1873, Colt stopped production after only 21 months after reaching an agreement with Winchester wherein Colt would stop production of lever action rifles if Winchester refrained from manufacturing hand guns. The top part of the handle and the frame are scroll engraved. No maker name can be found. Manufactured 1882, SN 73920, matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap with the last four digits on the cylinder. Inspector initials "DFC". The 6-shot revolver is fitted with an outstanding pair of high relief extremely thin, carved steer head pearl grips. There are a few chips and repairs that do not detract from the impressive look of these great grips. The nickel finish was likely dealer applied as evidenced by the case colored hammer and the matching serial number on the cylinder. A very generous amount of nickel finish is remaining. Rare American made Bowie, circa 1830s. Ricasso is marked "Alfred , Hunter", 13 3 ,4" overall with 8 3 ,4" clip point blade with false edge, 2 1 ,4" scalloped cross guard and grooved ferrule. This cross guard is identical to the one pictured on the Alfred , Hunter in the Antique Bowie Knife Book on page 95. Blade exhibits some minor discoloration but no heavy cleaning. Unique rosewood or ebony handle secured with two pins that has a German silver wrap on both sides and a German silver pommel cap. Handle has German silver escutcheon plate and a few hairline age cracks but is stable. This Bowie displays the distinctive Bob Abels red identifying number 43 which indicates that it was one of the fine Bowie's that Mr. Abels would have owned, in fact, a similar one with wood handle is shown in his book, "Classic Bowie Knives", page 20, No. 14. Very few of these Alfred , Hunter Bowie's exist today, this one is very unique and would be the centerpiece of any fine antique Bowie Collection. KING COLLECTION.

Historical, Texas shipped, Colt, SAA, 6-shot Revolver, .38 ,40 caliber, SN 337259, manufactured 1919, 4 3 ,4" barrel, blue finish, hard rubber stocks. Serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. This Colt Revolver was once owned and carried by James A. Baguette who was the Sheriff of Howard County, Texas from 1896-1906 and then from 1910-1916 before he became a United States Marshal of the Northern District of Texas from 1918-1922. This Revolver is accompanied by many documents that highlight and verify his service as a Texas Lawman including a letter from his daughter documenting his ownership and use of this revolver. It is further accompanied by the Colt Archive Letter that confirms its current configuration and shipment to the Shelton-Payne Arms Company on April 2, 1919 as a single gun shipment. The Colt shows honest use but is in all original condition, including the correct original hard rubber stocks. It has generous amounts of blue case colors. The action functions properly and the bore is good. This Revolver comes complete with its original Holster, Cartridge , Money Belt combination, both are marked "Shelton-Payne Arms Co. , El Paso, Tex." and are in good, used condition. The tongue billet on the belt has been replaced with a longer piece. The Holster has a very unusual snap type flap. One of the most documented Lawman's items to have surfaced in years! ATTENTION COLLECTORS OF EARLY DOCUMENTED TOM MIX (1880-1940) SPURS: A pair of one of a kind and elegantly designed Spurs once belonging to iconic, silver screen actor Tom Mix. These Spurs were given by Tom Mix to long time friend William Randolph Hearst, and remained in that estate until they were later purchased by the largest spur collector known at that time, Mr. W.F. Reynolds, Wichita Falls, Texas. This unusual pair of Spurs measure 7.5" from the front of the heel band to the point of the rowel. Spurs are in nickel finish with silver mounted gal-leg overlay on bottle opener shanks, with large fixed buttons that are 1.5", with Tom Mix brand inside of engraved diamond. Mr. Reynolds later had a pair of matching Buddie Foster Straps custom made for this iconic pair of Spurs. Spurs will be accompanied by a letter from Mrs. W.F. Reynolds explaining when Mr. Reynolds purchased these spurs, followed by a letter from western collector John Meadors who purchased them during the auction dispersal of the Reynolds Collection. There is also a letter from W.L. King (Buddy), after he purchased these spurs from Mr. Meadors. Accompanying these spurs and letters is a framed Cabinet Card of Tom Mix by Witzel that measures 4 1 ,4" x 6 1 ,2" with frame measuring 13 1 ,2" x 15 1 ,2". Found in the sweat band of this hat is a typed note, "Early Stetson marked Felt Hat, once belonging to Tom Mix with Nudie Rodeo Tailors, North Hollywood, California in hat band. This hat is in excellent condition and remains in the original box and will be accompanied by a letter from Pete Laird, stating that the "hat was given to me in 1930 by Tom Mix at Madison Square Garden Rodeo". Mr. Laird states that he was 18-20 years old at the time, he turned 92 this July." Scarce and very desirable, antique High Wheel Bicycle, attributed to Columbia, popular in the 1870s to 1880s, with 54" rubber tire front wheel x 18" rubber tire rear wheel, leather spring seat, mustache handle bars, with active handle brake. NOTE: Nickel over brass bell on handlebars, fully embossed Indian head on front. Bicycle has a custom made iron stand. The Big Wheel Bicycle was also known as the Penny Farthing, high wheel , high wheeler and ordinary, it was the first machine to be called a bicycle. It became obsolete in the late 1880s with the development of the modern bicycles. A Frenchman, Eugene Meyer, invented the high wheeler bicycle design in 1869 and fashioned the wire spoke tension wheel. Around 1870, English inventor James Starley, described as the father of the bicycle industry, began producing bicycles based on the French boneshaker with front wheels of increasing size, up to 5 ft. in diameter. In 1878, Albert Pope began manufacturing the Columbia bicycle outside Boston, starting their two decade heyday in America. Very good condition. KING COLLECTION.

Fantastic factory engraved Colt, SAA Revolver, .45 COLT caliber. This revolver is nickel plated with two-piece pearl grips with silver Colt Medallions. The factory engraving was executed by master engraver Wilbur A. Glahn. The SN is 355128 indicating a manufacture date of 1934. No factory record is available due to the records being lost, although serial number 355127 is recorded in the Colt Archives as factory engraved. The top of the revolver barrel is marked 'COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.", in an engraved panel. The left side of the barrel is roll-stamped: "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45". The revolver retains 99% plus of the original nickel-plated finish. The engraving is crisp and deep. The pearl grips are slightly oversized and in excellent condition with a couple of imperfections on the right panel and light handling marks. This is a truly outstanding example of the highest level of factory engraving offered by Colt and would be welcome in any of the most advanced Colt collections. KING COLLECTION. (MOD)

Unique, early antique Colt, SAA Revolver, .45 Colt caliber. This Colt has a unique feature of a finger rest on the trigger guard for the middle finger, similar to that of a Smith & Wesson Russian. This is the only Colt Revolver known by this writer with such an addition. The addition of this spur was likely done as a customer's special order when the revolver was new and prior to the applied nickel plating. Attributed to the former collection of Jonathon Peck. This revolver bears the SN 23391 which matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap with the last four digits on the cylinder. It is accompanied by a Colt Archive Letter that confirms the original shipment as a .45 caliber, barrel length not listed, blue finish with stocks not listed in a shipment of 50 guns to J.P. Moores in New York on March 30, 1876. As noted on the letter the term "not listed" is usually an indication that the barrel was 7 1 ,2" and the stocks were walnut which were standard issue for the time period. The nickel plating was dealer applied when the Colt was new and remains at over 95%. The stocks retain over 85% original factory varnish. The hammer retains a significant amount of case colors. The markings are all clear and sharp. The action functions flawlessly and the bore is very good. KING COLLECTION.

ATTENTION COLLECTORS OF HENRY RIFLES: Rare, "U.S. Martial" marked, 1860 Henry Rifle. On December 30, 1863, the Chief of Ordnance ordered 800 Henry Rifles from the New Haven Arms Company. These were issued to the 1st District of Columbia Cavalry Regiment in March 1864. The U.S. Contract Henry Rifles are in the 3000-4000 serial number range. This one is numbered 3588 and was manufactured in 1864. The initials of the ordnance inspector, "C.G.C." (Charles G. Chapman) are stamped on the right side of the barrel just ahead of the receiver. It also has the Henry "H" inspection mark lightly stamped on the right side of the barrel just below the "C.G.C." markings and on the right side of the receiver. A third "H" is stamped on the left side of the receiver. The rifle has the early pattern butt plate with round heel and a fixed dovetail sight on the barrel. The left side of the stock is fitted with a sling swivel and a sling loop that is screwed to the left side of the barrel. The top barrel flat is marked, "HENRY'S PATENT OCT. 16 1860 , MANUFACT'D BY THE NEW HAVEN ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CT." The serial number "3588" is located on the top of the barrel behind the rear sight. There is a four piece iron cleaning rod with brass tip issued with late production Henry Rifles. Traces of the original blue finish are visible in the flutes on the sides of the barrel and around the rear sight. The brass frame has a beautiful, natural dull mustard yellow color. The action functions flawlessly and the bore is near excellent. KING COLLECTION.

Presentation Inscribed, Cased, Factory Engraved Colt, Model 1855 Side Hammer, Antique Revolver. Serial number 21640 is a .28 caliber with a 3 1 ,2" barrel and Gustave Young factory engraving with burl walnut grips. The inscription on the back strap reads "John Ross Dix Esqr. , From Col. Colt." This revolver was previously owned by renowned Texas Collector Gaines de Graffenreid and pictured in the 1987 book "Texas Collector: Gaines de Graffenreid" by Roger Conger on page 108, which will accompany this Revolver. In the book it tells the story of Gaines trading for the revolver "years ago at a Dallas gun show" and unable to identify who the recipient of this revolver originally was. It was noted author and Colt expert R.L. Wilson that unraveled the mystery. Wilson had written nearly three pages about John Ross Dix in his book "The Book of Colt Firearms." Mr. Dix was a newsman from Boston who wrote for the "Boston Olive Branch" and "The Atlantic Weekly" and who visited the Colt Plant in 1859. He was given a tour and granted an interview with Col. Colt. Following the tour, Dix wrote several complimentary articles about the Colt Enterprise. Col. Colt was pleased and presented this revolver to Dix with a hand written note, transcribed in the accompanying book. Also Accompanying this Revolver and book will be the book "COLT The Making of an American Legend" by William Hosley (page 62). This revolver and its story can also be found in the books; "Guns in America" (pages 66 & 67), and "The Book of Colt Firearms" by R.L. Wilson. Stunningly beautiful, antique Colt, 1851 Navy Revolver with original case. Perhaps the best one this writer has ever seen. Manufactured in 1861, SN 103039 matches on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder. The barrel and cylinder have most of the original factory blue remaining. The frame has a generous amount of case colors that have darkened. The hammer and loading lever have bright, vivid case colors. The trigger guard and backstrap have most of the original factory silver plated finish. The walnut grips have most all of the varnish remaining. The action is perfect and the bore is excellent with a very small spot of roughness. The factory case is in great condition inside and out and includes the original flask, 36 B bullet mold, Eley cap tin with a few remaining cast lead balls, a nipple wrench and the best box of navy paper cartridges available. Owned previously by noted collector the late Leo Bradshaw, this set would be nearly impossible to improve on, if another like it even exists. KING COLLECTION.

Left side of frame has a small "COLTS PATENT". Frame is a 4 screw type, cut for shoulder stock with flat head hammer screw. The silver plated brass trigger guard and iron back strap with later made ivory grip. Revolver is beautifully deluxe engraved by L.D. Nimschke. Left side of barrel is engraved "Frank I. O'Hanlon , Portadown". Accompanied by a beautiful black leatherette covered, red and white satin lined Arno Werner handmade presentation case. Inside the lid is overlaid with a red and white ribbon embossed in gold "COLT ARMY". Also accompanied by an April 13, 1983 letter on the letterhead of Arnold Marcus Chernoff, well known late 20th century dealer , collector. Mr. Chernoff states this is one of the finest Nimschke engraved Model '60 Army Colts. He also states it was at that time accompanied by its original factory casing and is discussing this revolver and the presentation. Also accompanied by a letter from the Belfast (Ireland) Education and Library Board, to R.L. Wilson dated March 24, 1977, which states that Francis Ignatius O'Hanlon was the Post Master on Market Street in Portadown 1877-1898. Also a note from Wilson to Chernoff dated April 11, forwarding the B.E.L.B. information. In 1898 he apparently became a Justice of the Peace. Portadown is a small town in Northern Ireland just outside Belfast. A handwritten note on the bottom of a Little John Auction Service letter to the previous consignor states "the gun was found inside a wall of a house being torn down in Northern Ireland and accounts for its original, exceptional condition.", per John Gangle. PROVENANCE: Arnold Marcus Chernoff. The revolver is in excellent condition, retaining 96-97% strong nickel finish with a few scattered spots of light flaking and minor sharp edge wear with dulling on back strap. Grip is extremely fine with crisp edges, numerous age lines in bottom edges and retains a wonderful mellow ivory patina. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with scattered pitting. Case is a later model.

While these are called conversions, this model actually originally left the factory between 1873 and 1888 as cartridge guns. This is a very high condition, six shot, .38 RIMFIRE caliber Revolver with factory nickel finish that is nearly all remaining, The two piece ivory stocks fit very well and have a beautiful creamy aged appearance. The 6 1 ,2" barrel is lightly marked "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858 , E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEW YORK U.S.A. , NEW MODEL", with the numbers 451 & 5 under the loading lever. The bore is excellent and the action is perfect. The engraving is sharp and very nice coverage. It would be extremely difficult to find a better specimen than this one. KING COLLECTION.

Manufactured in 1863, SN 153125 matches on the barrel, frame, trigger guard and back strap with the last four digits on the cylinder. The cylinder and hammer have traces of gold gilt remaining. This is a .36 caliber, six shot revolver with a 7 1 ,2" barrel. The action functions properly and the bore is good. The frame markings are a little light. The barrel address is sharp. The cylinder scene appears to be unusually hand engraved rather than the typical roll die version. The beautifully aged, carved ivory grips have repairs on the smooth side and a mellow aged color. OBREGON SADDLE 1927: Full Gala Presidential Saddle built during the final years of the Mexican Revolution for President Alvaro Obregon Salido (1880-1928) before his assassination in 1928 by a Cristero and a Nun. The saddle was built by Potro Azul Saddlery in Puebla, Mexico. The silver inlaid hardware is also made by silversmiths in Amozoc Puebla, Mexico. The roses are hand made out of rawhide and the vine is filigree inlaid hand cut rawhide. The logo of the makers mark is the Aztec Calendar. The inlaid silver hardware is hand made and inlaid with silver. The concho buttons are hammer forged cones inlaid in silver. The Saddle Bags are sewn with braided rawhide, the fenders are embroidered by hand. The trumpet vine is made of rawhide and inlaid into the leather. The saddle was kept in a ranch in Denver where the President resided for a short time at the end of the revolution, then returned to the Capital City to be named President of Mexico. He was considered one of the Big Four Heroes of Mexico, the others being Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata and Venustiano Carranza. The quality of the leather was of such high value that it has retained its rich texture for over 90 years. This saddle is a National Treasure of Mexico. This Saddle will be accompanied by a letter stating the Saddle "was purchased from the Centaur Ranch, Evergreen and they said it was a gift from the President of Mexico to Mrs. Stewart, owner of the ranch. (President Obregon)". Signed by Kay O'Donnell Hill, December 23, 1986. This letter and other correspondence will be sold with this saddle.

XIT Ranch attributed, antique Winchester, 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine, factory nickel plated. This SRC was purchased years ago from a Fredericksburg, Texas family that was familiar with the history. SN 265171B is marked on the rear of the lower tang indicating it was manufactured in 1888. The caliber is .44 W.C.F. with a 20" round barrel and full length magazine tube. There is a significant amount of factory nickel plating on the frame and hammer with traces of nickel on all other metal parts. There is scattered light pitting mostly on the frame and lever. The action functions properly and the bore is very good. The barrel address is sharp and clear. The rear sight is the proper 1873 marked flip up tang sight. The forearm and stock wood is in overall good condition and fits well. The stock is fitted with a carbine style butt plate with a sliding door for a cleaning rod. The butt stock is more weathered which is likely due to spending time in a saddle scabbard on the XIT Ranch. This SRC will be accompanied by a letter from Cody Firearms. KING COLLECTION.

Historically significant, Buffalo Bill connected, antique Colt, SAA Revolver and accompanying historical documents. This outstanding article of history belonged to Major John M. Burke, Pioneer Scout, Indian Fighter and Personal Confidant of William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. Burke and Cody were friends and business partners for over 50 years. They originally met on the Missouri River in Nebraska. When Cody formed his Wild West Show, he hired Burke as his Press Agent. They traveled extensively together throughout the United States and Europe becoming friends with royalty along the way. This Colt was passed from Burke to Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Heimer. Heimer was Cody's personal chef and friend for many years. The Colt was then passed to Heimer's niece, Marie Neithammer who Cody called his "Little Flower." Accompanying this historical Colt are many photographs of John M. Burke, Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Heimer, Marie Neithammer and a 3-ring binder filled with various documents regarding these individuals. This beautiful revolver is a 6-shot, .44 ,40 caliber with a 7 1 ,2" barrel, nickel finish, and stocks are not listed. The SN 175330 matches on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. The revolver was shipped to John P. Lovell Arms Company in Boston. Massachusetts in a single gun shipment. Over 95% of the original nickel finish remaining with nitre blue on most screws and small parts. The hard rubber grips fit perfectly and are original to the revolver. The action is perfect and the bore is excellent. The revolver has deep checkering on the back strap of the grips. According to a letter written by Jerry Lee Murphy, collector and appraiser of 101 Ranch Artifacts, the revolver was given to Major Burke by his friend John Lovell after Burke mentioned wishing he had a gun with a checkered back strap. Cased Gustave Young engraved pair of Colt, Model 1855, No. 5 Model "Root" Revolvers - A) Gustave Young engraved Colt, 1855 Root Revolver-SN 5453, .31 percussion caliber, 4 1 ,2" round barrel, silver finish, ivory grips. This attractive cased set of Colt 1855 "Root" Revolvers were manufactured in 1862, both are a Model SA with the 4 1 ,2" barrels, fluted cylinders and were subsequently period re-plated in silver. Each has been engraved by master engraver Gustave Young. The top rear and rear sides of the barrel, frame, hammer, cylinder, butt and back strap are nicely floral scroll and punch dot engraved. There is a floral pattern on the top strap and a wavy border on the sides of the frame around the cylinder and the edges of the back strap. The top rear of the barrel is marked "ADDRESS COL. COLT , NEW-YORK U.S.A." and the matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel and on the butt. The revolvers are fitted with checkered one piece ivory grips. Complete in a varnished, locking mahogany case with brown velvet lining containing an iron two cavity bullet mold marked "COLT'S , PATENT" on the sprue, an empty 250 count Eley Bros. cap tin, a brown lacquer finished decorative French flask, several lead bullets and a key. Double cased factory engraved Colt Root Revolvers are extremely rare and seldom encountered. CONDITION: Period re-plated and embellished with most of the silver remaining. The left rear of the frame and hammer are beginning to silver out. There is finish over minor pitting on the cylinder. The grips are fine with grime in the checkering, otherwise there is a minor age crack in the front and they have aged to a pleasant patina and the checkering is sharp. The markings and engravings are crisp and clear. The action is fine. The otherwise fine case has had an extra coat of varnish applied on the exterior with a moderate crack across the lid and scattered minor dings and scratches. The accessories are all fine. B) Cased Gustave Young engraved Colt, Model 1855, No. 5 Model, Root Revolver - SN 5149, .31 percussion caliber, 4 1 ,2" round barrel, silver finish, ivory grips. Described in A. CONDITION: Period re-plated and embellished with almost all of the finish remaining. There are some scattered small areas of pin prick type pitting finished over. The grips are very good with a pleasant dark aged patina with a couple of minor age cracks on the bottoms and sharp checkering. The markings and engravings remain clear and crisp. The action is fine. Beautiful and scarce antique Colt, Open Top Revolver. Manufactured circa 1851-1852, Colt produced the first large frame cartridge revolver. This one is SN 1418 of approximately 7000 total production. It is a .44 RIMFIRE caliber with a 7 1 ,2" barrel, 6 shot cylinder and army size grips. The checkered ivory stocks fit very well and appear to be a later addition. The serial number matches on the barrel, frame, trigger guard and back strap. The cylinder is numbered 320 but matches the condition and finish perfectly with strong cylinder scene visible. There is a significant amount of frosty nickel finish that appears to be factory applied. All of the markings on the frame and barrel are clear and easily readable. This case includes an 1851 Colt Navy Model Revolver, an 1849 Colt Pocket Model Revolver and an 1855 Colt Side hammer or Root Revolver in a period case. (A) Manufactured in 1853, the .36 caliber, 6-shot, 1851 Navy is SN 210094 which matches on the barrel, frame, trigger guard and back strap, with the last 4 digits on the cylinder being 7794. The barrel address and patent markings are sharp although partly obscured. The grips are oversized but in overall good condition. The cylinder scene is strong on 80% of the cylinder. The action is strong and the bore is very good. (B) Manufactured in 1859 the .31 caliber, 5-shot, 1849 Pocket Model is SN 151998 and matches on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder. The barrel address and patent markings are clear and sharp. The cylinder scene is about 50% visible. The action needs minor adjustments the cylinder advances only intermittently. The bore is good. (C) Manufactured in 1863 the .31 caliber, 5-shot, 1855 is SN 7704 with the last three digits marked on the back of the cylinder. The factory applied markings are clear and readable. The action functions intermittently and needs adjustment. The frame, barrel and cylinder have a generous amount of blue remaining. The case appears to have the same age as the guns and is very attractive. Included are 3 powder flasks, 3 Colts Patent iron bullet molds consistent with the 3 caliber guns, 2 cap tins, an oiler, screw driver, brass capper and a paper cartridge pack. KING COLLECTION.

Antique Second Model LeMat Revolver with correct period Holster. Designed by Dr. Jean Alexandre Francois LeMat of New Orleans. This unique revolver was manufactured in Paris, France in 1864-1865 with a total quantity made of less than 2900. This is a .42 caliber, 9-shot revolver with a center barrel of .63 caliber which acts as the axis for the cylinder. The hammer has a pivoting striker to select the center barrel or the 9-shot cylinder perimeter. The barrel is marked "COL. LEMAT BTE .s.g.d.g. PARIS", although partially obscured by pitting which is present on many metal surfaces. The action functions but needs timing to the cylinder advancement. The checkered wood stocks are in very good condition and have an oval inlay of gold on each side. The .42 caliber bore is in surprisingly good condition. The .63 caliber bore is dark with roughness. SN 1212 is marked on all major components. Accompanying this revolver is a book titled "The Confederate LeMat Revolver", plus a great, period correct flap holster and belt. Both pieces are heavily worn but are all there and very hard to find. KING COLLECTION.

Historic, beautifully engraved Colt, 2nd Model Dragoon, .44 caliber percussion Revolver scroll engraved with silver over copper finish, one piece ivory grips, inscribed in block letters on the back strap "COL. CARLOS A. WAITE, DEPT. OF TEXAS, 1861", SN 10055. This revolver shows 60% to 70% of an old silver finish and the ivory grips show cracking, natural aging and staining. The cylinder shows 90% plus cylinder scene and most of the safety pins are retained. The edges and markings are super sharp and crisp and the bore is near excellent. The engraving, plating and grips are later than the period of manufacture but look to be accomplished in the 19th to early 20th century. A note (which has since been lost) from a prominent old time Pennsylvania collector states "This pistol was shown to Herb Glass in 1981 and the conclusion was that it was an authentic Dragoon, later engraved and inscribed as a commemoration of service." A previous owner further states "after researching the extensive career of Col. Waite he concluded the arm may have been presented to him when he left Texas for Washington, D.C." G.A.R. members and their families would often embellish service arms to retain as keepsakes later than the period of their service. The revolver is accompanied by many documents that outline Col. This wonderful pair of revolvers have been identically engraved in a beautiful intricate scroll design with just about 100% coverage on all surfaces available to the engraver. The scrimshaw elephant ivory grips have skillfully drawn images of notable Japanese historical figures depicting the family line of Neiji Emperor, also known as Mutshuttito. He was the reigning Emperor of Japan from 1867-1912. Serial Numbers 6770 & 6726 were manufactured circa 1877 as part of a Japanese government variation of 5000 S&W Russian Revolvers that include "JAN. 19, 75 RE-ISSUE JULY 25,1871" in addition to the standard 2nd Model Russian barrel address. The Japanese government were S&W's 2nd largest customer. These are 6-shot, .44 RUSSIAN caliber, revolvers. Records indicate these revolvers were shipped with 7 1 ,2" barrels, blue finish and smooth walnut grips. Accompanying this pair of revolvers are copies of letters from Smith & Wesson Historian, Roy Jinks confirming both revolvers were part of the Japanese Government Contract and shipped to H. This is a .36 caliber single shot pistol, SN 619, with a 6 1 ,2" round barrel. The frame, hammer and loading lever have period scroll engraving believed to be factory applied. The grips are fancy burl walnut and in excellent condition. The right side of the frame is marked with the manufacturer and patent dates. KING COLLECTION.

Antique Cased Smith & Wesson, Model No. 1 1 ,2, First Issue, Revolver. This is a very nice .32 RIMFIRE caliber, SN 21878 making it a late, first issue model. It has a 3 1 ,2" barrel that has tight hinges and a little roughness in the bore. The action functions properly and the cylinder has British proof marks. The revolver has a high percentage of original blue finish on the frame and barrel and nice case colors on the hammer. The original burl wood, period case has a turn screw, wiping rod, oiler and a storage compartment with a handful of .32 rimfire cartridges. KING COLLECTION.

A pair of silver plated, antique Colts, Model 1878, Double Action Revolvers, .476 caliber, SN 15556 was manufactured in 1885, SN 7973 was manufactured in 1882. Both Revolvers are 6-shot, .476 caliber with 5 1 ,2" barrels and checkered wood grips. The barrels are marked with a single line Colt, Pall Mall, London address. The caliber markings are very faint on the trigger guard bow. They both have nearly 100% of an old silver plate finish that was likely applied at the Colt Agency in Pall Mall, London, England. It was not uncommon for the people in England to refinish Colts when they were brand new, due to the fragile Colt factory finish. The revolvers have a fantastic pair of factory checkered walnut stocks that fit perfectly and are original to the revolvers. The hammer and trigger have a very high percentage of the original Colt factory nitre blue remaining. The lanyard loops have been removed. The action functions properly and the bores are excellent. Revolvers will sell 2 X the bid. KING COLLECTION.
