Vintage Electric & Hand Crank Barber Pole Lot #1060 (Sale Order 66 of 529) Circa 1940/50's. Manufacturer unknown, possibly Paidar. Approx. 80" tall to the top of the globe. Features a porcelain enamel steel base, a hand crank to power the iconic spinning cylinder, and glass globe with light on top. Globe has beenpainted inside, and not sure if original. When plugged in, the light inside the spinning cylinder worked, and when cranked the cylinder did spin, however very slow and intermittingly at times. Crank handle is original. Shows some wear withareas of paint loss, scuffing, etc. Extremely heavy piece. Pickup is highly recommended, otherwise a 3rd party shipper would be required.

Red Marble & Dore Bronze French Annular Dial Clock Lot #1074 (Sale Order 80 of 529) Circa 1880, Incredible French Louis XVI style annular dial clock is crafted of rare and exquisite fleur de pecher marble and fine dore bronze adornments. This large timepiece tells the time on two revolving chapter rings, with acharming bronze figure of Cupid pointing to the exact hour and minute. The shield and helmet of the Roman goddess Minerva, the patroness of wisdom, the arts and war, rest beside the clock atop the rouge griotte marble plinth. Serialnumber 7243. Overall approx. 33" high x 12-1/2" wide x 12-1/2" deep. There are a few small chips to the marble along the edges and corners.

Overall approx. 58-1/2" in Height, 18" Wide, and 7-1/2" in Depth.Some light scuffs/scratches to the interior from the pendulum, and light scuffs to the case. Not tested. As shown. Examine.

Scarce Civil War Identification Badge. Lot #1328 (Sale Order 348 of 529) Silver Badge belonging to John S. Clark. 183rd Pennsylvania Infantry. He wore this until wounded and lost his badge at Deep Bottom. He was mustered in on November 12th 1863 as a Private in Co. C of the 183rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. hisunit saw action at the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Po River, Cold Harbor, Petersburg to name a few. At the siege of Petersburg he was wounded at Deep Bottom where he lost his badge which is features in Wm C. Davis's book Battlefields of the CivilWar.

Charles E. Town received two contracts to build drums for the U.S. Army. The first contract, secured in 1853 was for 100 infantry drums. The second contract in 1859 called for 19 artillery drums and a further 56 infantry drums.
Very good. Some wear and list wood loss to counter hoops, with minor crack on bottom counter hoop beneath eagle. Paint has some cracking and crazing but still retains a bold image. Interior label is intact and legible. Heads are intact with minimal tearing. Includes Drum Sticks, Shoulder Sling, and Fife

Rare, Order of the Eastern Star Masonic Lodge Sign Lot #1418 (Sale Order 441 of 529) Offered is a Rare, Order of the Eastern Star Masonic Lodge Light Up Sign. Reverse Painted Glass Panels. Approx. 75" tall x 45" wide x 10" deep. The emblem of Order is a five pointed star with a pentagon in the center along with the letters"FATAL". Each of the 5 points of the star represent Biblical figures: The blue point features a sword and veil and represents "Adah", the yellow point features a sheaf of barley and represents "Ruth", the white point feaures a crown and scepter and represents "Esther", the green point features a broken column and represents "Martha", and the red point features a chalice and represents "Electa". Along the outer edges is a biblical verse: "We Have Seen His Star in the East and Are Come to Worship Him". Light up sign is in working condition, however the bulb behind the white point or the crown and scepter is out. (see image). There is a dial, when turned slowly, each of the glass panels lights up. Includes (2) Original Teak wooden deck chairs recovered from the wreckage of the Ocean Liner Andrea Doria, along with what we believe may also be a pair of the original seat cushions. Alsoincluded is an original US Coast Guard Jacket which belonged to Commander/Captain George R. Leslie, Original Coast Guard Hat, Outer Rain Jacket, and (10) Official US Coast Guard Photographs showing the ill fated Andrea Doriasinking (all photos have original credits attached, and all are stamped on the verso). The (2) chairs, each made of Teak are approx. 60" long x 33.5" high x 22" wide. The back and seat sections feature vertical slats, and the foot rest with horizontal slats. There are 13 photos with hand writting captions for each along with 6 typed letters frompeople who were there and described the accident which happned on July 29th, 1910. There is a letter from an employee of the Berlin Construction Co, letter from the boss machinist of the Garner Print Works and Bleachery, and others. Lettersappear to be tpyed confessions of the accident, however they are not signed or notarized. Interesting detail in each described how a derrick struck a man. This is the hanger used to house Lighter than Air Craft, or Dirigibles, or Blimps. The station was the site of the Hindenburg disaster. The obverse side shows the hanger, and Navy Insignia, the reverse describes the hanger construction details, and the fact is has been added as a National Historic Landmark. Approx. 1-1/2".

Rare, Pre WWI Germany Zeppelin Badge Lot #1474 (Sale Order 497 of 529) Scarce, Pre WW1 Zeppelin Badge which was produced in a limited number. Measures approx. 1-1/2" x 1-3/4", shaped like a cut out Prussian Eagle.The eagle’s head appears at the twelve o’clock position, while its wings are at the three andnine o’clock positions. A small Hohenzollern Crown sits atop the eagle’s head. The center features a high-quality circular enamel medallion measuring 3/4" in diameter that covers the Eagle’s belly. Its black enamel background is emblazoned with a"Z" crossed horizontally by a zeppelin. Reverse bears the manufacturer’s name, Mayer & Wilhelm, Stuttgart.
