One of the most beautiful of antique powder flasks. Has an American eagle perched on arrows and olive branch above an oval of stars that surround a pair of clasped hands within a sunburst. US on a shield below that which overlays a trophy of arms, instruments, helmet, and banners. Flask has both carrying rings in place, as is the adjustable spout. Emerson & Silver New Jersey-marked Model 1840 Enlisted Calvary Sword and Scabbard Lot #50 (Sale Order 42 of 95) A true find.
The Model 1840 cavalry saber, was commonly referred to as The Old Wristbreaker. This military edged weapon was used by New Jersey?s mounted forces during the Civil War. Only 2,700 were ever produced by the Emerson & Silver firm out of Trenton, New Jersey. This is a scarce M40 saber and scabbard in very good condition. 35.5 inch blade that is in very good condition. Stamped:EMERSON & SILVER in an arched pattern on the ricasso; the obverse ricasso has the large stamping N.J. Leather grip has a thin single twist brass wire around it. Grip is surrounded by a two-branch brass hilt and is topped by a brass pommel. Hefty iron scabbard is unadorned, but retains a somewhat shiny finish as shown. No dents or damage marks to mention. Scabbard has a large drag with no damage either. Sword mounts retain the original suspension rings. Includes the often missing leather strap and brass hardware. This is a beautiful and heavy cavalry saber and scabbard. Rare edged weapon with only a few made. |

Antique Ceremonial Sword with George Washington Pommel Lot #55 (Sale Order 44 of 95) Wonderful sword and scabbard.
Made by H.R. Rowland GMTN, PA (Philadelphia). Lots of detail to the 30-inch blade as shown. Black leather grip wrapped in twisted wire, very good condition. Detailed relief hand guard. Scabbard is also in fine condition with good amount of detail including three ring hangers. Nice piece of an American commemorative edged weapon. |

1863 U.S. Model 1840 N.C.O. Sword and Scabbard, Ames Mfg. Co. Lot #56 (Sale Order 45 of 95) Original Ames Manufacturing Company Model 1840 N.C.O. sword in good condition.
Carried by Federal non-commissioned officers, this edged weapon comes with original black leather scabbard. Single edge blade measures 32 inches long and is in very good condition with only light peppering marks as shown. Ricasso bears the inspector?s mark of AHC on one side, and Made by Ames Mfg. Co. CHICOPEE. MASS on the other. Stamped A.D.K. on hand guard, and G.W.C. on the drag. Brass hilt features grips with a simulated cast wire wrap. Upper brass collar is tight to the body of the scabbard and retains its frog hook. The black leather scabbard is in poor condition as it is in three pieces as shown. This artifact would have been carried by Corporals and Sergeants during the Civil War. |

Winchester Model 1906 .22 Caliber Pump Action Rifle Lot #100 (Sale Order 60 of 95) This is the Second version and was the Standard Model 1906.
It differed by being able to shoot interchangeably short, long or long-rifle bullets, serial numbered between 113,000-852,000. 20-inch round barrel along with rest of metal has turned mostly white as shown. Bore is clean with good rifling. Both wood and metal are in fine condition as one would expect in a 111 year old rifle. Approximately a 20 gauge. 33 inch round barrels have browned and whitened, but are in better condition than most we see. Includes ramrod. 19th Century Allen's 1845 Patent Percussion Pepperbox Revolver Lot #108 (Sale Order 68 of 95) This original antique pistol was made by Ethan Allen of Massachusetts (1808-1871).
Allen developed his business by bringing in his brother-in-law Charles Thuber as his partner. This is a tube hammer pistol. The handgun is a Six Shot in roughly 32 caliber. Measures 7-1/2 inches long with 4 inch barrels. The frame has light decorative engraving and the tube hammer is stamped: ALLEN'S PATENT. 1845. This Pepperbox is in a fair to good condition, cylinder rotates when trigger pulled. Metal has turned white, no rust to mention as you can see. Appears to be operational, but has not been test fired. Believed to be in .577 caliber. This percussion rifle has a 19 1/2 inch barrel with very good clean bore. Marked on the side plate 1860 Enfield with downward facing broad arrow in front of that, and a crown above V.R. behind the hammer. Same style as a musketoon; this rifle is a fantastic find. Both wood and metal show very well as shown. Brass accent pieces on the furniture, as well as ramrod included. Proof marks on top side of barrel as shown. The BB Gun is all original and retains a fair percentage of its original nickel finish on the barrel. The cast iron embossed frame is fantastic, shows so very well. The stock is in very good condition with all the original finish and it has no cracks or damage. Wooden stock has the oval Daisy stamp; still very clear and damage free. It retains both the front and rear sights. Best of all this break open rifle cocks and shoots with good compression. As nice as you will find, unaltered and unrestored. A true survivor. |
