Factory Engraved Antique Colt, SAA Revolver, .45 COLT caliber, SN 121721, 4 3/4" barrel, with Ivory stocks. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The cylinder is marked 9965 but matches condition and is factory engraved to match. This was likely replaced by the factory when the Colt was returned to them as is noted by the bin numbers on various parts of the revolver. This is a 6-shot revolver with a 4 3/4â€? barrel. The engraving is approximately 75% coverage and retains a strong amount of nickel on various parts. The markings are all sharp and easily readable. This Colt is accompanied by a copy of a Colt Archive Letter that provides the following features. .45 caliber, 4 3/4â€? barrel, Nickel finish, Ivory Stocks, Yes - factory engraved, sold and shipped to C.D. Ladd in San Francisco, Calif. on April 4, 1887 in a 1 gun shipment. The one piece, elephant ivory grips are very nice and fit well but are a little long and there is a chipped corner on the left heel. There is a copy of a letter from R.L Wilson where he notes this gun is pictured on page 156 in his book â€œThe Peacemakers Arms and Adventures in the American Westâ€?. Mr. Wilson also points out that the gun is incorrectly listed as number 121728 but was in fact number 121721. He closes by saying this gun is a featured illustration in his book. KING COLLECTION.

Colt Revolver, Model 1877, Thunderer, .41 caliber, SN 84094, 3 1/2" barrel with Carved Holster & Belt Rig. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Manufactured in 1891, this is a .41 caliber, 6-shot revolver with a 3 1/2â€? barrel, known as a sheriï¬€â€™s or storekeeperâ€™s model, made without provisions for an extractor. The finish is a high percentage of nickel throughout, with sharp edges and a crisp action in both single and double action. The rubber grips ï¬?t properly and have moderate wear. The bore is very nice. The ï¬‚oral carved Holster and Belt match very well and are likely by the same maker. The belt is marked on the back of the tongue â€œM.L. Leddy / Maker / San Angelo, TEXâ€?. It has a nickel plated, clip point buckle and 10 bullet loops that look to be the correct size. A very desirable rig. KING COLLECTION.

It has a case color hardened finish on the frame, barrel, trigger and hammer, with folding trigger over top hammer. The rosewood stock is very finely checkered. The overall finish on this gun is excellent. Comes with a key, a tiny powder flask, bullet mold, bullet extractor, cap container, nipple wrench, nipple cleaner and another tool of unknown use. The original factory rosewood casing is in great condition with blue velvet interior showing only minor wear. The lid has an inlaid brass name plate. KING COLLECTION.

Rare Colt, Model 1911, U.S. Navy Automatic Pistol, .45 ACP caliber, SN 1944, 5" barrel, mirror like glistening, blue black fine oil finish. Shipped April 10, 1912 to Navy General Storekeeper, Navy Yard, Brooklyn, New York in the 2nd shipment of 500 pistols to the United States Navy. This pistol is one of the last to exhibit a complete compliment of the early features to include; striking fire blued hammer, trigger, thumb safety, plunger tube, magazine catch lock, rear sight, ejector, extractor, pins and stock screws. Wear patterns indicate that the barrel, which has a bright, shiny bore and chamber and is properly marked with a horizontal serifed "H" at the rear of the hood is original to the pistol. The receiver is marked with the same serifed "H" at the 12:00 position near the disconnector hole. Beautiful stocks with 15 rows of checkering between the diamonds appear to have been refreshed due to their fine condition. This pistol retains a large percentage of its original fine finish with the expected thinning on the grip straps and numerous small scratches and dings one observes on Navy issued arms. The Type 1, 2nd issue exposed base magazine is the final compliment to this rare and desirable pistol. This pistol will be accompanied by a Colt Factory Letter. (MOD)

The barrel is a Flannery Bolt Company Field Service replacement which is correct for the time frame of manufacturing in mid 1943. The magazine is a correct Scoville Manufacturing product. One of the only 55,000 pistols produced by Union Switch & Signal in Swissvale Pennsylvania. This example would be hard to upgrade and a key part of any U.S. Military Pistol collection. A rare pair of scarce Factory Engraved Colt, Model 1849, Percussion Revolvers, .31 caliber with consecutive SN's 43619 and 43620. This Pair of Consecutive Numbered Percussion Revolvers were known as the Donut Scroll or Cloud engraving to collectors, and were likely engraved by Gustave Young and have his well known wolfâ€™s head on each side of the hammers. They are .31 caliber, 5â€? barrel, 5-shot percussion revolvers manufactured in 1852. The number matches on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder with the last four digits on the loading lever. The wedge was removed on both revolvers, SN 43619 in unnumbered, SN 43620 is numbered. The markings are all clear and readable including a mostly visible cylinder scene. The frame patent and barrel address are hand cut. The burl walnut grips are in nice condition and ï¬?t well. There are traces of blue remaining on the barrels with generous amounts of silver plate on the trigger guards and back straps. This rare pair of consecutively numbered Revolvers will be sold 2 X the bid. KING COLLECTION.

This carbine was designed by the Civil War General Ambrose Burnside. Markings â€œBurnsideâ€™s Patent Model of 1864â€? are crisp on top of the frame with the serial number below it and matching on the bolt. The buttstock is sound and solid with crisp cartouches and some raised grain with scattered small scrapes, scratches, dings & dents. The fore stock is good overall with a few larger dents. The action functions properly and the bore is excellent. The barrel ï¬?nish is smooth and mostly brown patina. The frame and lever release have strong, dark case colors present. Eli Whitney, Sr. established his Whitneyville Armory in 1798 and produced ï¬?rearms by contract for the young U.S. Government. Just prior to this, in 1793, Whitney invented the mechanical cotton gin, which dramatically changed the economic landscape in the U.S., namely in the South. Many of these revolvers were purchased by the US Government and by individual soldiers for use in the Civil War. Antique, Civil War Era, Model1860, Army Revolver, .44 caliber, mixed serial numbers, frame SN 15812 over stamped, trigger guard and back strap SN 69977, shows notch for shoulder stock, 8" round barrel, smooth aged grey patina, needs work on the cylinder catch and hammer spring. One piece walnut grips appear to be original and fit the old gun very well, with one small chip on right grip at toe. Appears revolver has seen much action and would make a great Civil War relic. This revolver is originally from the Fred B. Turner estate. Mr. Turner moved here in 1930 and became sole owner of Turner Drug Store on 13th and Austin, in Waco, Texas in 1940. He was a well known collector of firearms and coins.

From the collection of Texas Governor Alan Shivers comes this Remington, Model 11-48 Automatic Shotgun, SN 4004644. A rare factory engraved "F" Grade, two barrel set in 28 Ga. presented to the Governor by notorious New Orleans Restauranteur "Diamond Jim Moran". A short history of both the Governor and Diamond Jim accompany the shotgun, which was manufactured by Remington Arms Co., in January, 1953. The shotgun is expertly engraved with scroll and game scenes, fitted with a superbly figured walnut stock with a 14 1/8" length of pull over a fitted Pachmayr recoil pad. Both barrels are engraved in the same pattern as the receiver, have ventilated ribs and are 25" long. One barrel is full choked and has a genuine diamond front sight bead. The other barrel is fitted with an Alloy Body Cutts Compensator and has 2 choke tubes. The set is professionally cased in a fine Winship Co. leather transit / display case with an attached key fob from Diamond Jims New Orleans restaurant featuring a horseshoe enclosing a 1953 Lincoln cent as a good luck charm. This remarkable piece of "Political History" would be hard to duplicate and is in very good condition. (MOD)

Sold in the original factory Luggage Case and fitted with a .250-3000 caliber extra barrel which at some point was added, where the receiver and most metal parts were gold plated. The forend has a fine hairline crack on left side and is missing one screw from the forend latch lever. This unique Rifle, one of less than 1,000 factory engraved deluxe Rifles was shipped from the factory on April 6, 1928 to the Tropical Trading Company of New Orleans. Beautiful Engraved, Remington, New Model, Army Revolver, .44 caliber, SN128629, 8" octagonal barrel, 5-shot conversion with an ejector manufactured circa 1875. Factory Engraved, Cartridge Conversion, Ivory Grips, and Holster Rig. The barrel address is weak and partly obscured by light peppery pitting. The revolver appears to be factory engraved with more than 50% coverage on all major parts. The ivory stocks are believed to be original to the revolver, ï¬?t very well and have some shrinkage along the straps. The action functions properly and the bore is good with an area of moderate pitting near the muzzle. The Holster Rig consists of a single loop holster with a variety of nickel and brass spots. An old belt is very well worn, has a unique style buckle and many, small brass spots. There are 25 bullet loops for a large caliber cartridge. KING COLLECTION.

Smith & Wesson, Wells Fargo, Revolver, SN 1262 with Spotted Holster Rig. This is believed to be a standard .44 S&W American caliber, 6-shot revolver with a 5â€? barrel, manufactured circa 1880s - 1890s. The original walnut grips ï¬?t perfectly and have notches on the bottom of the left panel although the meaning is unknown. The action functions properly and the bore is fair. While the standard barrel length was 7", many Schoï¬?elds were purchased as surplus by distributors, and had the barrels shortened to 5" and were reï¬?nished. Of the most notable purchasers of these reconditioned Model 3 Schoï¬?eld revolvers was Wells Fargo and Company, who purchased the revolvers for use by Wells Fargo Road Agents and had the barrels shortened to a more concealable 5 inches length. These revolvers were then inspected by the Wells Fargo Armorer and uniquely stamped "W.F. & Co" or "Wells Fargo & Co", along with the original Smith & Wesson serial number re-stamped alongside the Wells Fargo stamping on the ï¬‚at part of the barrel just forward of the barrel pivot. This revolver is marked accordingly on the right side of the barrel â€œW.F. & COâ€™S. EXâ€? with the matching serial number 1262. The Holster Rig consists of a double loop holster, marked "524" on the skirt, under the toe of the holster. It has 2 large and 4 smaller brass spots on the loops and is mounted on an unmarked, money belt with 35 large caliber bullet loops. The belt has a few loose bullet loops and a brass clipped corner buckle. KING COLLECTION.

Set of two beautiful "Jim Bowie Commemorative Knives" designed exclusively by the renown Dr. Fred Carter. The knives have an 8 3/8" blade and is 12 7/8" in overall length. The blades are heat treated stainless steel which have been black nickel plated and decorated with 24 karat gold scroll. To commemorate the hero of the Alamo, a portrait of Jim Bowie has been engraved into each of the blades. The all metal handles have been triple polished and black nickel plated finished to allow for the addition of the 24 karat gold scrolling. The guards and tangs have been gold enhanced and the serial numbers are 1470 and 0809. The knives are "as new" with no mars or scratches on either. Dr. Fred Carter has been a custom Knifemaker for over twenty five years, making some of the worlds most sought after knives. Dr. Carter has held many offices in the Knifemakers Guild including two terms as President. Over the years he has won many significant awards for his work, including twice winning the W.W. Antique, Condemned Colt, SAA Revolver, .45 caliber, SN 34804, manufactured 1877, 7 1/2" barrel. This Revolver may have started out to be a US Cavalry Revolver with the initials "J.T.C." on the bottom of the barrel along with a "P" stamped above. These are the typical marks of the Ordnance Sub-Inspector John T. Cleveland during the period. There is also a "C" stamped on the bottom of the barrel that is usually an indication of a revolver that did not pass inspection and was condemned for military use. Condemned Colts are very collectible and not often seen. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard, back strap and 4 digits on the cylinder. The action needs minor work as the timing is slightly off. The front sight is modified. The bore is typical for the age and has some roughness. The walnut grips fit very well and are original to the gun, with a small chip missing at the toe of the left grip. The patent dates, barrel address and caliber markings are all clear and readable.

This revolver appears to have been modified to be a sheriff's model and is very well done. The barrel address, patent dates and caliber markings are weak. There is an ampersand on the right rear trigger guard bow that may indicate that the revolver was returned to the factory for refurbishment. The nickel finish is very nice. The ivory grips are beautiful and fit very well. The action is good but may need some work and the bore is very nice.

Antique, high condition nickel, Colt, Model 1877, Thunderer Revolver, .41 caliber, SN 55840, with scarce 5" barrel. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The configuration of the revolver is confirmed by the accompanying Colt Archive Letter showing it was included in a shipment of three guns to Hartley & Graham in New York, New York on July 21, 1886. The original nickel finish is in excellent condition with most of the loss occurring on the back strap and trigger guard. The scarce 5" barrel retains nearly all of the original finish with minor loss near the muzzle. The etched panel reads "Colt D.A. 41", and is strong and clear. The action functions flawlessly in both single and double action. The back of the hammer and trigger retain strong fire blue. The hard rubber grips fit perfectly and are in excellent condition. This is a great example of a Colt, 1877 Thunderer that any Colt collector would be proud to own.

Pony Express Bronze Plaque by Alexander Phimister Proctor (AM: 1862-1950). This plaque was commissioned by Wells Fargo Co. for the 50th anniversary of the Pony Express in 1910. The plaque shows a cowboy on horseback riding on a fast galloping horse going to the next relay station. The plaque is signed lower center by Proctor under the Pony Express Logo. The plaque was made to mark 60 of the original 190 Pony Express Stations that had been built between St. Joseph, Missouri and Sacramento, California. Each monument would be decorated with a commemorative bronze plaque mounted into the building, rock plinth or some other suitable base. The bronze plaque is listed in the Bergmann Books on Bronzes, volume 4. This is a great depiction of an era in communications that lasted only 15 months in time. The plaque measures 16" in diameter and weighs 12 pounds. Condition is very good with a nice aged patina, some light scattered oxidation.

Extremely scarce, J.P. Murray Hunting Rifle, .45 caliber Muzzleloader. J.P. Murray manufactured rifles and carbines used by Civil War soldiers on both sides. This rifle likely pre-dates those manufactured during that period. This is a high quality hunting rifle made for the civilian market with a 35 1/2" barrel, double set triggers and an ornate brass trigger guard. The lock plate is marked "J.P. Murray" in small letters. The barrel is marked on the top flat "J.P. Murray / Columbus GA." with a fixed v-notch rear sight and a small blade front sight. There is one rod hanger missing. Hammer does not always release. The wood stock is in very good condition with nicely figured wood, a nickel plated brass butt plate and coarse checkering at the wrist.. The forend has a nickel plated cap and a brass ferrule for the hickory cleaning ramrod. The hammer has fine scroll engraving on the side.
