Marks: Porzellanfabrick Burggrub Princess Elizabeth 6 1/2 Germany. Excellent condition, original wig, body, body finish. Arthur Schoneau, 1931/2, the doll was made for two years only, in three sizes, this being the largest. Representing Princess Elizabeth at the age of three the doll was sculpted by German artist Caesar Schneider, and received the approval of the British royal family (the story of the doll is told in Cieslik's German Doll Studies, page 309).
