I am the treasurer officer in both FFA and 4-H. I show at T.V.E, as well as Cleveland Livestock Show and Dairy Day. I have shown pigs and chickens at both events. I have shown chickens for nine years and I have shown pigs for five. In school I am a varsity volleyball player and this coming year I will be on the Indianettes. The money I get will be used to purchase another pig as well as the feed for the animal. (We will raise broilers till they are fully grown!)

My name is Dane Fitzgerald and I am in the 5th grade at Hardin ISD. I'm a member of both Hardin 4H and JR. FFA. I have no idea what I'd like to do when I graduate but I'm sure something will come to mind when I'm a little older. For now, all the money I have earned showing has been put away for my college savings. This is my second year to raise broilers for Cleveland Dairy Days. Last year I won Reserve Grand Champion with a meat pen of 3 birds that weighed in at 33.15 lbs. My largest bird was 11.6 lbs, which could easily feed a family of 9-11. This year my birds are on the same track, while they still have a few weeks left of growing I know they will be similar in size and shape. I raise my birds in what's called a family pen with my older sister. Together we work very hard to maintain a clean and dry pen for the birds. Since we order 75 birds and process them all at once we separate the broilers into two separate pens, a cull pen and a show pen. This helps a bit with keeping the litter clean but requires extra work. It is also important that the birds have fresh feed and clean fresh water at all times and that requires us to feed and water 2-3 times a day. It's a lot of work but in the end, it's worth it. Although I'm disappointed I won't be able to show this year and defend my title, I am grateful for the lessons I've learned through out this experience. The biggest lesson I've learned is that in farming and showing, sometimes you have good seasons and sometimes you have bad ones, but it's the people that keep waking up to do the job despite the adversity that have the most success in the end.

My name is Kyle Reynolds and I am a Junior at Tarkington H.S. I have shown at Dairy Day since 2010. I started showing in the Pee Wee showmanship class with my sister's pig. I am currently selling my pen of broilers. I have raised broilers for several years. I put a lot of effort into my projects. I stir them once every hour during the day and several times though out the night, adding feed and keeping their water fresh and clean.

Once I graduate High School next year, my plan is to attend Texas A&M University and study either Engineering or Biomedical Sciences. Thank you sincerely for your consideration in purchasing my project. I will use the proceeds to start my next project and put some back for my education.

My name is Mallory Fitzgerald and I am in the 6th grade at Hardin ISD. I'm a member of both Hardin 4H and Hardin JR. FFA. I have a goal to attend the University of Texas A & M to become a veterinarian. All the money I have earned showing has been put away in savings for my college education.

I know the family farm is a reward in itself, because in the end, what really matters is the time spent together putting in the extra work despite the outcome.

I am thankful I did get to take Rain to a few progress shows and a few clinics where I learned a lot about him and goat care in general. I have been showing market goats for 3 years, and breeding goats for 1 year. I was a Calf Scramble participant at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo in 2019. I returned in 2020 to show my Fullblood Boer Doe, KMV1 Snitches Get Stitches. I plan on starting my own herd to help other 4-h/FFA kiddos! After graduation, my objective is to go to Sam Houston University and major in animal science. My market wether goat, Missile, weighs 65 lbs and is 6 months old. He is on the smaller side but he would be perfect for a summer/early fall show! He just needs more time to hit his bloom! During this COVID-19 quarantine, I have spent 4 hours per day with him. He is more of an automatic goat, as soon as you put him against your leg. He digs his feet in and pushes! He is a very level topped dude with a nice hip angle that has the ability to hold more muscle as he gets worked out more! He has a wonderful forearm muscle with a nice, wide front end!

She isn't scared of my cowboy hat like my other heifer was, so this was going to be the first time I got to show with my cowboy hat on! Arrow has taught me a lot about being responsible and working hard. When I weighed her on March 27th, she weighed 862 lbs. She's real sweet, but she doesn't like to take a bath. Hi, I'm K'Bryonha Solomon. For eight years I have been in Tarkington 4-H. Showing at Dairy Day either a steers or rabbits. This is my Junior year at Tarkington ISD. After graduation next year. I plan to attend Lone Star College in Kingwood to become a cosmetologist to help people with all different hair types look their best. My rabbits are 3 1/2lbs. but will be the perfect weight of 5 1/2lbs. By the end of April. I spent a lot of time with the rabbits feeding, watering, breeding, petting and cleaning pens to prepare for Cleveland Dairy Day Show.

Upon graduation, I plan to attend Houston Culinary Arts School to become a chef and own my own cafe. My rabbits are 3 1/2 lbs., but by the end of April the rabbits will be the perfect weight of 5 1/2lbs. Most mornings and evenings I spend thirty minutes or more feeding, watering,breeding, petting, and cleaning pens to prepare for Cleveland Dairy Day Show.

My rabbits are young in these pictures and still have a lot of growing to do but due to the circumstances they are where they should be for when the pictures were taken. They will weigh 5 pounds day of show/auction as expected. I feed and water them twice a day and handle them almost everyday. The money I receive from my animals towards animals for the next year, feed and supplements, as well as supplies.

Hey, I'm Callie Banning. I'm currently a sophomore at Tarkington High School and I show under the Tarkington FFA chapter. This would've been my 4th year showing. I've raised and showed lambs and pigs, but this year I decided to try my hand at something new. My project, Dwight K. Shrute, is a year old brangus steer and weighs 1125 lbs. He's definitely eased my fear of cattle and shown me how loving and playful they can be. Dwight is my last project I'm raising since I'm moving this year. The money I receive from selling him will be put into my college fund, which I plan to use toward my goal of becoming a neurologist. I have been showing breeding & market animals since elementary at the Cleveland Livestock Show. I am showing through Hardin 4-H. I have a Market Steer for the CLSDD online auction. I found out that the show was getting canceled a month before the date of show. This comes as a disappointment, since I was not able to show my scramble heifer at Houston. This is the third project I'm unable to exhibit this year. These pictures do not reflect the finished project. I will continue to feed him as if I was taking him to the show for my Buyer. I have been raising a barrow named Clyde. I spend at least two hours a day feeding and walking him. I learned how to do this from my best friend that has been showing for a couple of years. Clyde weighs about 155 lbs. I also, play baseball, basketball and I'm apart of the Tarkington fishing team. I was really looking forward to showing for the first time. My name is Riley Bautsch & I have shown at Cleveland livestock show for 8 years now and attend Hardin ISD as a junior. I am a hard working individual who loves the livestock industry. I am an avid member of Hardin FFA, Mid-County 4-H and an honorary member of West Hardin FFA. This auction slot is for the barrow I intended to show later this month as he is one of the top five we have ever fed currently weighing 265 pounds. I have put countless hours of time, hard work and money into this livestock project and was disappointed when Cleveland announced the cancellation but understood. I grew up and was raised in the livestock industry and appreciate it more now than ever. As an upcoming senior I hope to recoup some of my money for future projects and college as I look forward to going to fire school to become a firefighter. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
