WELCOME TO THE AUCTION Lot #1 (Sale Order 1 of 355) Just to Reiterate from our terms and conditions: I do my best to estimate the grade/condition of the coins, but please note, unless specifically mentioned in the description, I do not guarantee grade or condition. I DO ALWAYS GUARANTEE 100% AUTHENTICITY, on an immediate buyback including any premium paid. But please understand, if you win a coin and receive it and send it out to one of the grading companies and it comes back graded less than I estimated or "genuine but Ungradeable", we will not buy back that coin. No refunds will be issued. Please understand this and look at the large pictures and make your own decision on the grade/condition. I do my best to give you my best estimate and your repeat attendance at my auctions is what I strive for, so I always attempt to give my best description/estimate of the coins being auctioned.

*Star Note* 2003A Kansas City FRN Green Seal Grades Lot #11 (Sale Order 4 of 355) *Star Note* 2003A Kansas City FRN Green Seal Grades. When notes are discovered that have been printed incorrectly (such as having the serial numbers upside down, etc.) the misprinted "error notes" are replaced with star notes because no two bills within a certain series can be produced with the same serial number. They are used to maintain a correct count of notes in a serial number run. By their nature, star notes are more scarce than notes with standard serial numbers and as such are widely collected by numismatists. Some of the highest prices paid for modern (post-1928) U.S. banknotes have been for star notes.

When notes are discovered that have been printed incorrectly (such as having the serial numbers upside down, etc.) the misprinted "error notes" are replaced with star notes because no two bills within a certain series can be produced with the same serial number. By their nature, star notes are more scarce than notes with standard serial numbers and as such are widely collected by numismatists. Some of the highest prices paid for modern (post-1928) U.S. banknotes have been for star notes. The note itself is a Silver Certificate. Silver Certificates were redeemable in Silver. One of their most distinctive qualities is the blue Treasury seal and serial numbers. These notes include an additional legend printed on the face that is not present on any other Federal Reserve notes. The legend states that Silver had been deposited in the Treasury and was payable on demand to the note’s bearer.

The obverse features Washington and a vignette of Columbus sighting America. The reverse shows a "sawhorse" design. Add in the bright red seal and serial numbers and you've got a miniature work of art. The nicest one we have ever been able to bring to auction. These notes are usually found in xf and lower. Finding higher grade ones can be a challenge.

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 In Halves Stardust Hotel Las Vegas 1936 & 1917 Walke Lot #138 (Sale Order 94 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 In Halves Stardust Hotel Las Vegas 1936 & 1917 Walker Ends. Up for Auction is a Consignment I have been talking about for the last few months, and I have finally secured. I have secured a collection of old 1960’s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn’t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. I have only seen a handful of these ever. The consignee gave us 15 rolls. I have put 2 in each auction. Plus the 3 I kind of destroyed is the 15. If he gets a reasonable price he said he will give us the rest of the collection. We estimate the rolls to be worth $500-$700 each as a collective andtique, but if the roll is opened and has a rare date, who knows the value, a 1921 Walker even in low grade is worth over $500, and several other dates re worth over $200 each. But who knows, aybe a rare 1878-s Seated is inside. ($35k in g4), or an 1892-o Barber ($5k in G4). In any event the rolls themselves are amazing collectibles of a bygone era of the Rat pack and Las Vegas. From the group he gave us so far there were 10 different casinos. Good Luck.

The 1879-S has a mintage of only 43,500 pieces and is typically found in XF or AU grades. This caramel-gold example is fully struck and minimally abraded. Luster is especially vibrant at the reverse border.

***Auction Highlight*** 1855-o Gold Liberty Eagle $10 Graded Choice AU/BU Slider+ By USCG (fc) Lot #161 (Sale Order 117 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1855-o Gold Liberty Eagle $10 Graded Choice AU/BU Slider+ By USCG. Per PCGS only 100 Survive in all grades and Only 2 Examples in mint State., This Very Near Uncirculated example holds the Lone spot at 3rd Finest Known and the Highest non mint state example. The two Mint State examples are both ms61 and neither has come to auction since 2004. In 2004 and 1999 they sold for $23,000 each. The last au example to come to auction was an au58 in 2019, which sold for $11,700 and an au58 that sold in 2014 for $17,625. No au58+ is graded such but the coin at hand. Doug Winter reported two varieties of 1855-O eagles, one with a repunched date and the other with a normal date as offered here. My own analysis suggests that the first variety is actually the result of machine doubling. The 18,000 coin mintage was a sharp drop from previous years as the San Francisco Mint operated for their first full year in 1855. This example ranks among the finest of survivors. Just two Mint State pieces are known, along with a small number of AU58 and AU55 examples. While lightly marked, this example has nearly full mint luster with satiny yellow-gold surfaces. An appealing example for the advanced collector. Again, It holds the lone spot at 3rd finest Known. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1848-p No Motto Gold Liberty Eagle $10 Graded Select Unc By USCG (fc) Lot #164 (Sale Order 120 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1848-p No Motto Gold Liberty Eagle $10 Graded Select Unc By USCG. Tied for 8th Finest Known. The condition rarity of the No Motto eagle type can be well illustrated by the 1848. This issue has a comparatively high mintage of 145,484 pieces but the survival rate is well under 1%, and it is likely that as few as 400-500 examples exist in total. This date is seriously undervalued in properly graded AU58, and it is rare in Uncirculated with fewer than a dozen pieces currently known. This Yellow gold example exhibits nice luster and average contact arks for the grade. A true Rarity. The No Motto $10 is Rare in every date in Mint State. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1889-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Choice AU/BU Slider+ By USCG (fc) Lot #165 (Sale Order 121 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1889-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Choice AU/BU Slider+ By USCG. Keystone Issue in the Series. Production of coinage resumed at the Carson City Mint in 1889 after a three-year hiatus. The facility used five sets of dies to strike 100,000 Morgan dollars in October, another 100,000 coins in November, and the final batch of 150,000 pieces in December. Eventually, 250,000 to 325,000 coins were melted for reasons unknown. After the Treasury release in the early 1960s failed to yield any significant quantity of 1889-CC dollars, the issue was solidified as one of the true rarities in the series., This near-Mint representative falls just half a point short of an Uncirculated designation, and the difference is nearly imperceptible. The entirely brilliant surfaces are sharply detailed and only lightly abraded on each side. The last two au58+ to go to auction realized $16,273 and $16,800, both in 2018. Au58 trends $23,000 and ms60 $27,500 A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Up for Auction is the Finest known example of the Overton 104 Variety of the 1832 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Frosty Luster with light steel grey toning. Strongly struck with high well rounded cheek and well defined devices throughout the obverse and reverse. To quote from CappedBustaddict.com “This marriage is rather tough in grades above XF. Few AU and MS examples show up on the market with perhaps a single MS64 at the top, so if you see a nice AU or MS, snag it!” Additionally to describe the variety “on the obverse there is a die lump on the drapery fold between the 18 and clasp on higher grade examples”. “on the reverse; Arrowheads are malformed and joined by a series of defects. A die defect prong extends down from tip of right wing. Most specimens of this die marriage show a raised triangular defect at lower right curve of eagle's neck.” I have included closeups of these features. A once in a lifetime chance to secure the finest known Overton 104! ***Auction Highlight*** 1896-o Vam 21 R6 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select Unc By USCG (fc) Lot #171 (Sale Order 127 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1896-o Vam 21 R6 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select Unc By USCG. If you are a VAM collector, this is THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE MONTH. Up for Auction is the Vam 21 of the 1896-o, It is a Privately made coin. To quote from Vam World. “Most specimens located to date have either been low grade or problem coins - and riddled with bag marks. Due to production techniques, even the best of specimens will exhibit poor strike, pitting, and a complete lack of obverse luster. The VAM-21 is extremely rare in AU and above, with only a handful of such specimens known to exist. Like the other Contemporary Counterfeits, uncirculated VAM-21 specimens are almost unheard of.” This is likely the Finest known example, and privately made or not, this is a VERY highly sought coin. I am including closeups of the relevant key pickup points. I will note that ZERO vam 21 have sold on Ebay in the last 6 months and the similar Vam 4, only very low grade examples have sold.!! Estimated Value $4,500-$8,500 A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1887 Gold Dollar $1 Grades GEM++ PL (fc) Lot #176 (Sale Order 132 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1887 Gold Dollar $1 Grades GEM++ PL. Up for Auction is one of the often mis attributed “Proof” 1881 Gold Dollars. The Famous Leon Lindheim hoard of 54 “Proofs” was purchased several years ago by Paramount. It included 46 circulation strikes and only 8 Proofs. All were purchased as proofs and so it should be obvious that many deceptive first Strikes exist of this date. True Proofs of the 1881 are distinguishable by a small unfinished area in the die between the lower left part of the D in Dollar and the wreath. The example at hand was likely struck with the proof dies and likely one of the very first impressions. The example at hand is near pristine with sharp mirrored fields and a great contrast. Without expert opinion, one could easily mistake the superb example at hand as a Proof. To date PCGS has only certified 3 examples as Proof Like and NGC 31 examples. This example is tied for the finest known at pcgs and tied for 3rdfinest at NGC. The Last 3, and only 3 sales of the ms67 PL have all been between $4200 and $4500. I will note that the 2 ms68 pl examples have never come to auction. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin

The Commemorative was Struck Honoring the Sesquicentennial, or 150th Anniversary of Lynchburg, Virginia. This Issue is Often Found Not Fully Struck, the Highpoints of its Design looking Grainy as the result of Planchet’s Natural Texture still being in evidence. By Not Filling the Dies, this Texture was left intact. Areas in which to look for weakness are Liberty’s Head and Her Thigh, near the Motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM'. Wear, if any, will First Appear on the Senator’s Hair Above His Ear, also on Liberty’s Head and Chest.

Up for Auction is a Numismatic rarity, an Uncirculated 1877-s $5 Gold Liberty. It is estimated that less than 300 examples survive in all grades and less than 5 in Mint State. To date PCGS has only ever graded 3 examples as mint state and NGC has only ever graded 1 in Mint State condition. The example at hand is fully struck, has great eye appeal with pleasing orange gold surfaces. Moderate contact marks are normal for the grade. A true Numismatic rarity, and Tied for 2nd Finest known. (NGC’s sole Mint State example is ms61 and PCGS has 1 Graded ms60, 1 in ms61, 1 in ms62 and 1 in ms64. The PCGS ms61 and ms62 have never come to auction, the ms64 has come to auction twice, in 2002 and 2004, and not seen since. In 2002 it sold for $21,275, and in 2004 $28,750 and duplicates may be present in these 5 coins). Trends au58 $6,500 ms60 $10,500 ms61 $11,000, ms62 $16,000. I think a $16,000 estimate at the coin at hand is accurate (note the sole ms61 from ngc sold in 2007 at auction for $11,500, no coin over ms60 has sold at auction in over 13 years, until today)! 1863 New York F-630am-1a Civil War Token 1c Grades Choice AU Lot #231 (Sale Order 175 of 355) 1863 New York F-630am-1a Civil War Token 1c Grades Choice AU. Due to the hoarding of hard currency during the Civil War, merchants issued tokens and store cards in lieu of coins for use in their stores. Most of those tokens included the name of the store and its merchandise right on the token. Other tokens were political in nature. However, this token gives only the name of the proprietor and the address of the business in New York City. After numerous Google searches I found two sources stating that Christoph Karl's business was either a liquor store or a saloon. I also found that Christoph Karl was born in Bavaria in 1824 and that he immigrated to the United States sometime between his birth in 1824 and 1859. In the following paragraphs, I will offer a theorem as to how and when Christoph Karl came to the United States using the allegory illustrated on this token., , Starting in February of 1848 in France, a wave of nationalist political uprisings against the reigning European autocracies erupted across the entire continent, including the German Confederation (1815-1866). The revolutionaries had hoped to usher in a new era of democracy and social reform in Europe. Instead, particularly in the German Confederation the revolutionaries met with defeat leaving the old order intact., , Following their loss, many of them fearing for their lives fled their homes to start anew in other countries. With the nickname Forty-Fighters, thousands of Germanic people immigrated to the United States. Many of those immigrants settled in the northern states due to their objection to slavery. I believe that Christoph Karl was among the Forty-Fighters settling in New York City., , The obverse of this token features Germania seated close to a body of water with hills in the background. She is stretching her right arm over the land in an altruistic, calming manner. Behind her is the standard of the German Confederation with the tincture matching that of the black, red, and yellow colors of the German Confederation flag. The shield is representative of the German Confederation arms with a double-headed eagle against a yellow background. Germania is wearing a more generic mural crown as opposed to a royal or imperialistic crown of a king or queen. At the base of the shield are oak branches representing strength and independence. Above the shield is the hilt of a sword showing a readiness to fight if necessary. The reverse features a harp representing harmony or perhaps unity. An oak wreath surrounds the harp with a radiant five-pointed star at the opening reminiscent of the approved, but not fully embraced, 1848 German Confederation Coat of arms., , Not deterred by their earlier failures, I believe many of the Forty-Fighters took up the battle against the autocracies of Europe from their adopted homelands. Being a naturalized American citizen, Christoph Karl could now exercise his right to free speech without fear of reprisal. The lack of hard circulating currency during the Civil War was the perfect opportunity for a proprietor like Christoph Karl to continue to speak out against the reigning autocracies of the German states. Thus, I believe, given the absence of the business name on this token, that it should be numbered among those tokens making a political statement. Coins and tokens are excellent mediums in which to promote political causes. With the likelihood that a number of Germanic people and those sympathetic to the cause would frequent Christoph Karl's establishment, this token was likely effective in promoting the vision of an independent German state., , The picture substituting for the reverse of this coin's owner comments is an 1848 painting of Germania. The standard in the picture is that of the liberal nationalists and the rays of a rising sun is the beginning of a new era. Germania's crown of oak leaves denotes heroism, her breastplate, strength, her sword, power, and the hemp branch a willingness to make peace. At Germania's feet are broken chains, symbolic of being set free. To the right of Germania is the 1848 German Confederation Coat of Arms. Notice the similarity between the star on the token and the picture. The arms are very similar in meaning to the imagery of the harp. A Corey's Pick

These were given out in sheets of 12. There are still some uncut sheets that exist. All 1928 one dollar silver certificate notes feature a portrait of George Washington at center and a blue seal on the left hand side of the note. All 1928 $1 silver certificates are known as “funnybacks.” They get this name from their distinctive back design.

*Star Note* 2006 Chicago FRN Green Seal Grades Lot #259 (Sale Order 182 of 355) *Star Note* 2006 Chicago FRN Green Seal Grades.

1863 Crossed Flags Civil War Token 1c Grades Choice AU/BU Slider Lot #304 (Sale Order 214 of 355) 1863 Crossed Flags Civil War Token 1c Grades Choice AU/BU Slider. When I came on this Civil War token the first time and asked the audience if anyone knew what an “Orleans House” was, I was answered that it was a hotel. To my embarrassment, I had thought that an “Orleans House” was a “House of Ill Repute”, lol, Upon coming upon this Token for a second time, I decided I owed you all some effort, so I researched the address. It just so happens that 531 Chestnut Street is a very significant address for All Americans as it is Directly across the street from the Birthplace of our Nation. It is precisely opposite the entrance to Independence Hall. Today, there is nothing present at that spot as it is a National Park and only grass occupies its location. Matt and I spent a few minutes and traced back through photographs the history of 531 Chestnut. We have included 5 photos of this historic location. From the vacant Lot just before it was turned into the park which clearly shows 533’s facade (1949), to 1953 right after it was leveled, to 1957 after the park was first modest sized formed, to how the full independence park appears today. But the most interesting is the last photo. This is a photo unearthed by Matt, it is how the site appeared in 1910. I believe the building the arrow points to is the original home of the Orleans House as it stood in 1863. I think you can match up exactly the facade of 533 to verify this location. WOW! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do,

*Auction Highlight* 1841 C Charlotte Gold Liberty Tied Finest Known $2 1/2 Graded Select Unc By USCG Lot #323 (Sale Order 233 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1841 C Charlotte Gold Liberty Quarter Eagle $2 1/2 Graded Select Unc By USCG. Only one die pair is identified among survivors from the mintage of 10,281 Charlotte quarter eagles in 1841. This date is among the rarest Charlotte quarter eagles, and most often seen in Very Fine and Extremely Fine grades. There is an anomalous spike of About Uncirculated coins in the NGC and PCGS population reports, likely due to resubmissions. The two services have seen a mere seven Mint State pieces, the finest MS62. The present MS62 offering is thus a very special find for the Charlotte gold collector. In addition to its rarity, this specimen is sharply struck, save for softness on some stars, and possesses considerable luster. The yellow-gold surfaces are imbued with hints of apricot, and perhaps most significantly, are devoid of the heavy abrasions that are usually encountered on surviving specimens. Pleasing overall eye appeal for the date and grade designation. There have been 7 Auction appearances of the 3 ms62 examples over the past 20 years, the last being in 2014. Those sales have been $28,200, $23,000, $23,000, $27, 315, $23,575, $27,600 & $17,250 – in order of most recent to oldest. I wish you good Luck I Obtaining this Numismatic rarity. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 In Halves Sahara Hotel Las Vegas 1917 & p Walker End Lot #338 (Sale Order 247 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 In Halves Sahara Hotel Las Vegas 1917 & p Walker Ends. Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1926-s Lincoln Cent 1c Graded Choice Unc RD By USCG (fc) Lot #350 (Sale Order 259 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1926-s Lincoln Cent 1c Graded Choice Unc RD By USCG. Bountiful deep orange color sets this handsome near-Gem apart from the vast majority of Mint State 1926-S cents extant. A few faint carbon spots are all that seem to preclude a full Gem rating for this premium quality example. The 1926-S is a low mintage affair by the standards of the Lincoln cent series with just 4,550,000 pieces produced. It has long been regarded a semi to full key date issue in all grades, and most collectors have had to settle for a worn example either due to availability or cost. Very scarce in all Mint State grades, in full Red, as here, the 1926-S is a noteworthy condition rarity that is always greeted with excitement when offered through auction. This is a charming early half dollar that holds tremendous appeal for high grade type collectors and series specialists alike. An essentially brilliant piece, we note just the barest trace of golden iridescence to otherwise satin white surfaces. Both sides are highly lustrous and sharply defined from an exceptionally well executed strike. Remarkably smooth at the assigned grade level, as well, and sure to see spirited bidding among sharp-eyed numismatists. By Draped Bust half dollar standards the 1807 O-103 is a scarce die marriage in all grades, circulated and Mint State. In an absolute sense, of course, About Uncirculated half dollars of this early U.S. Mint type are rare, especially relative to market demand for such pieces. The 1858-s $10 Gold Eagle is UNKNOWN in Mint State and only 3 Coins have Graded au58 at PCGS. The several cons graded au58 by NGC are all considered lesser coins and if you compare the coins yourself, you will see they are barely equal to the au55 coins graded by PCGS. The coin at hand is featured on the PCGS page as the main example. The second coin graded by PCGS as au58 has never come to auction and the 3rd coin graded au58 by PCGS sold in 2019 at the Legend auction and shattered the record, selling for $43,475. ***Auction Highlight*** 1877 Indian Cent 1c Graded f+ By USCG (fc) Lot #364 (Sale Order 273 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1877 Indian Cent 1c Graded f+ By USCG. The Key Date to the whole Indian Cent Series. According to Jaime Hernandez from PCGS, ‘The 1877 Indian Cent is unquestionably the most desirable coin in the entire circulation strike Indian Cent series. It is the second lowest mintage coin in the series, and only the 1909-S Indian cent has a lower mintage. Despite the 1877 Indian cent having the second lowest mintage in the series, it also survives in much smaller numbers than the 1909-S Indian cent. This is mainly due to the lack of coins being collected in 1877 compared to 1909. There is only one reverse die confirmed as striking all existing 1877 Indian cents. However, if there was only one reverse die employed to strike all (877,000)1877 Indian cents, then this lone die should have sustained major planchet flaws when striking such a large mintage. Surprisingly, this is not the case since 1877 cents show no traces of a damaged die. Therefore, it is strongly believed that the mintage of 877,000 coins struck, is actually a highly inflated figure.

***Auction Highlight*** 1859 D Dahlonega Gold Dollar $1 Graded BU+ By USCG (fc) Lot #368 (Sale Order 277 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1859 D Dahlonega Gold Dollar $1 Graded BU+ By USCG. Per PCGS Only 200 Examples survive in all Grades and only 20 Examples survive in Mint State. Variety 11-N. The date is positioned slightly farther left than on Variety 11-O, although the large D mintmark position is nearly identical. This variety is more frequently seen well-struck than the other, as the present coin displays with its bold central devices and border dentils. Both sides are die clashed, and the reverse has a radial die crack through the upper right wreath branch at about 1:30. Honey-gold luster is satiny and shows one non distracting mark on the obverse, which cannot be seen without the aid of a loupe. The mark limits this terrific example to the ms61 it is graded. This Dahlonega issue is rare in Mint State, and only 4,952 pieces were struck. Trends on ms60 are $8,250 and ms63 $23,500 A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1881-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM Unc DMPL By USCG (fc) Lot #369 (Sale Order 278 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1881-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM Unc DMPL By USCG. Frosty and fully struck, the devices appear to float atop highly reflective fields. Brilliant surfaces further enhance the eye appeal, and both sides are exceptionally smooth for this conditionally challenging New Orleans Mint issue. Although the 1881-O is fairly plentiful in Mint State, only a small percentage offer richly contrasting Deep Proof like fields. These were usually early strikes from the dies when the dies retained the most polish. While these highly contrasting Morgan dollars have long been popular with collectors, they also attract bag marks in their delicate mirror-like fields, hence high grade Deep Proof like coins are quite elusive of most dates A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1910-s Tied For Finest Known Lincoln Cent 1c Graded GEM++ Unc RD By USCG (fc Lot #372 (Sale Order 281 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1910-s Tied For Finest Known Lincoln Cent 1c Graded GEM++ Unc RD By USCG. Far and away the finest 1910-s that Sandi and I have ever had the privilege to bring to auction. Please examine the coin thoroughly before determining a maximum bid. This coin is something special. By 1910, the novelty value of the Lincoln cent had worn off, and the 1910-S issue in particular was little saved; as a result, high-end survivors from this issue of slightly over 6 million pieces are elusive and desirable. Q. David Bowers comments in his Guide Book of Lincoln Cents, "A blazing gem with original color is scarce if sharply struck and with good eye appeal." This Superb Gem passes muster in all respects, and the lemon-tinged copper-peach surfaces have particularly appealing luster and considerable fire. Trends ms67 RD $15,500 – the Last 3 ms67 RD sold in 2019 for $13,200, $9,000, & $10,200 – All three are the equal of the coin at hand! *Star Note 1934C $10 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Signatures Julian/Snyder Grades Lot #390 (Sale Order 299 of 355) *Star Note 1934C $10 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Signatures Julian/Snyder Grades. This lot is for a $10 Blue Seal Silver Certificate. Series 1934C, signatures Julian-Snyder, FR2008. This note features the familiar portrait of Alexander Hamilton that was used on all of our $10 bills through 1999, and the back shows the US Treasury. This note does not have the familiar "In God We Trust" motto above the US Treasury, though, as that motto was not added until 1957. The Blue Seal is large and at right; a large blue "10" dominates the left side of the note.

***Auction Highlight*** 1887/6-o Rainbow Toned Top 100 Vam 3 I5 R4 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select Un Lot #393 (Sale Order 302 of 355) ***Auction Highlight*** 1887/6-o Rainbow Toned Top 100 Vam 3 I5 R4 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select Unc By USCG. VAM-3. A Top 100 Variety. In 1887, the Philadelphia Mint produced multiple overdate dies for Morgan dollars, and while one pair stayed in Philadelphia, the other was shipped to New Orleans, resulting in two overdate varieties for different issues in the same year. The event, though unusual, was not without precedent, since the Morgan dollars of 1880 include overdate variants for all four Mints that struck the denomination; nor were the 1887 and 1887-O pieces the last of their kind, since the 20th century brought the twin 1942 Mercury dime overdates from Philadelphia and Denver, and speculation swirls around possible 1914-dated branch mint Buffalo nickels showing the crossbar of a 3., As with the dime overdates of 1942, the Philadelphia 1887 Morgan dollar overdate was discovered first, though little time passed between the November 1971 discovery of the 1887/6 by Ted F. Clark and the Bob Riethe identification of the 1887/6-O variant in 1972, per Q. David Bowers in his Silver Dollars & Trade Dollars of the United States: A Complete Encyclopedia, Volume Two. Bowers further notes that while the variety was little appreciated in the years immediately following its discovery (for example, Wayne Miller's The Morgan and Peace Dollar Textbook makes no mention of either 1887 overdate), the Van Allen - Mallis reference made the study of Morgan dollar die varieties popular, and the Fivaz - Stanton Cherry pickers' Guide further fueled collector interest. The 1887/6-O has received an entry in the Guide Book, which reflects widespread numismatic recognition of the variety and gives it the highest degree of collectability., In most grades, the 1887/6-O is available for a price; the majority of survivors are significantly circulated, and among Mint State representatives, grades below Select are the norm. The finest is a single ms65 example that sold for $37,375. The coin at hand is a lustrous ms63 example with nice golden rim toning. Trends are ms62 $3300 ms63 $4,350 A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

It was the darkest days of World War II, just after Pearl Harbor. Everybody in Hawaii was sitting on pins and needles. Were the Japanese preparing a massive invasion of the islands? If they did invade, they could use the millions of dollars in currency on the islands to buy war material. To thwart this, these $1 Federal Reserve Notes were sent to the islands. Each has a large HAWAII printed on the reverse. If the Japanese did invade, the currency would be demonetized. After the threat passed, most of these "Hawaii" Notes were destroyed. Today they're hard to find.

At the beginning of the Civil War people starting hoarding coins for their precious metal content. Coins became difficult to find because of the hoarding. People started to try to use stamps instead of coins as a means of commerce. The government decided to help ease the hoarding issue by issuing “paper coins” also known as postage currency or fractional currency. Fractional currency was first issued on August 21, 1862 and they were last issued on February 15, 1876. Three cents, five cents, ten cents, twenty-five cents, and fifty cents notes were all issued. Fractional currency is physically smaller than other United States money. It also does not have a serial number.
