WWII German Belt Buckle Pistol 22 Caliber

Rare WWII German belt buckle 22 caliber pistol, exclusively made for high ranking German officers. This pistol was known as the SS-Waffenakademie Koppelschloßpistole (Belt Castle Gun). Designed by Louis Marquis while he was in a prisoner of war camp during WWI, the belt buckle gun was given to Nazi officers during WWII as a last ditch effort to avoid capture. Two designs were made. One with two 7.65mm smoothbore barrels and the other with four smoothbore barrels in 5.6mm (.22 caliber). Marquis had his design patented in 1938 and since then, only twelve, including prototypes, have been reported to have been manufactured. The gun fires by opening the cover from the top lever, exposing the barrels. Both top and bottom levers are pressed to flip the barrels up in the firing position. The gun is fired by pushing the triggers down. The firing pins are recocked by pulling the left side lever down and pushing the barrels down into the closed position. The buckle has a brass cover with some minor dents on the inside. The barrels have some minor scratches on the top and dents around the chamber from the firing pins. Springs for the firing pins are a little stiff but still work. Whole housing is clean and has little to no marks or scratches. Screws near the arms for the belt are loose on the right side. Pistol comes with leather belt that has been used and has finish wear on one side. Belt is leather and has some scratches on the inside as well as paint coming off. Has certificate of authenticity from 2012 and letter from "Rock Island Arsenal Gun Auction". These are often faked due to the value of them so authenticity is unknown. Must see photos.

All matching serial numbers, including magazine. Right side of barrel and extension stamped with Group Wing eagle proof and double Waffenmarkt. Safety is stamped Geshichert. Brown checkered grips in very good+ condition with slight chip above the magazine release. Retains 95% original blueing with normal holster wear. Very good mechanically. Civil War Sniper Rifle

Rifle originally built around 1850 as a target rifle. Converted to a sniper rife at the beginning of the Civil War, when a scope was added. Following the Civil War, the scope was removed and it was converted back to a target rifle. It has a reverse set trigger, walnut half stock with pewter nose cap, heavy round barrel. Approximately 41 caliber. Perfect rifling. Has bullet starter, built for the gun. Start is rifled to match rifling on the gun. Ramrod is not original (fiberglass) and butt plate is not original. Rear sight is not original Bullet starter is custom fit to this rifle and has a site block so the rifle cannot be fired with the bullet starter in place. It was built to fire an elongated bullet wrapped with greased paper patch. This gun is a 9.9 out of 10 ! *Description was provided by consignor.

This range finder would have been used to estimate ranges on targets far away for artillery fire. This range finder is in overall very good condition with original tan paint (possible desert/Afrika Korp usage). Appears to be mostly complete with original tripod stand. Right hand leather eye cup is broken, the base of the eye cup is present but rubber is missing. On the very top of square boxes at the ends of tubes there is a threaded bolt-like digit, unknown what screws onto the digit, there are some scratches to paint on right tube exposing brass construction. Otherwise, scrapes and scratches from normal use visible. Dimensions when open are 39" x 26" x 16" at base. An interesting display piece! See photos.

M1891 Argentine Bayonet (2)

M1891 Argentine Bayonet. In 1891, Argentina modernized their armed forces and adopted the M1891 Mauser and bayonet as part of that modernization. These new arms were produced in Germany for a contract made by the Argentines. The bayonet is unique from many others for having aluminum grips and a hooked quillion. The blade is in the white and has some oxidation as well as a dull tip. The base of the blade has the manufacturer’s mark “Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. Solingen“ on one side of the blade. The blades are numbered “R3534“ & "G9934". The aluminum grips are in good condition. Only 1 scabbard is present. Good condition. Argentine crest removed per export regulations.

Czech Bayonet w/Scabbard. After the formation of Czechoslovakia, the BRNO arms factory would sell many rifles to countries around the world and with those rifles came bayonets. This bayonet has the marking, “CSZ“ on one side of the base of the blade and a proof mark on the other. The blade is in the white and is coated in a preservative grease. The wood grips have some scratches and there is a small gouge in the grips near the crossguard. The pommel has the number “7159“ stamped into it. The scabbard has the marking “CSZ 23“ on the frog stud. See photos. Good condition.

Made from 1899 Remington export bayonet. Fuller is stamped Remington Arms Company, Ilian, NY USA. It appears that the muzzle ring and hook removed, button filled in and pommel was nickeled. Scabbard is intact but has most of it's blueing scratched off. Leather hanger is in good condition compared to most of this age. Blade measures 8 1/8", overall measures 13 3/4".

Musket Style Socket Bayonet. In the era of muskets, bayonets were typically mounted to the side of the rifle barrel as the bottom already has the ramrod stored there. This bayonet has a triangular blade that has oxidized over time. The socket is covered in surface rust and has a dent on one side. No locking ring present. Blade length 21.5" Overall length 24.25". Blade is signed "Higo Minamoto Tetsuo saku” & dated "Nisen Roppyaku ni-nen Hachi-gatsu hi (a day, August, 1942) Tetsuos real name is Terada Yoshimitsu, born in Feb.,1910, lived in Minamata city, Kumamoto prefecture, studied under Moritaka Yasuhiro, made swords during WWll time and after the war as a Gendai smith. Scabbard is metal and in good condition. Lock mechanism works fine. Sword measures 39 3/4" inches long in scabbard. Blade measures 26 1/8 Inch from tip to the notch in habaki and is perfectly straight. Beautiful condition, comes with silk carrying bag.

Japanese Wakizashi Short Sword

Blade measures 21.5" long and has a groove that runs from the collar to the point line. Blade has clearly visible hamon that runs the length of the blade. Blade is clean and shiny with only minor scratches and some minor nicks on the spine. Tip is pointy with no blunting and edge has only a few miniscule nicks. Brass collar has decorative etchings on all four sides. Crossguard has some oxidation and back collar retains ornate decorations. Tsuba is signed. Black braid over ray skinbound grips is in very good condition and grip ornaments have slightly worn finish. Ornate endcap has only minor discoloration. Side knife has flat sided blade with Japanese characters on one side. Tip is pointy but oxidized. Blade edge is sharp and blade has some oxidation throughout. Grip is decorated with brass monkeys and is textured on decorated side. Grip has some minor dents and scratches on back side. Black wooden scabbard has some dents and dings with only minor finish wear near the throat of the scabbard. An excellent traditional Japanese short sword with unique side knife and a must have for Japanese sword collectors. See photos.

Ray skin grip wraps are in good condition and grip ornaments are bright with only minor tarnishing. Ornate end cap is slightly loose and has some minor discoloration. Green scabbard has surrender tag in the form of a cloth strap with Japanese characters on one side, characters are still legible. Scabbard finish is worn on edges but is in overall good condition. An excellent example of a WWII Japanese officer's and a relic that survived WWII. A must have for any WWII collector. See photos.

Blade measures 11.5" and has what appears to be a scratch on the right side of the blade near the ricasso. Blade edge is sharp and tip is pointy with no blunting. Blade shows characteristic Japanese curvature with only minor oxidation in a few spots. Bound blue grip is in very good condition with only some minor wear to the wrap. Ray/shark skin wraps for handle is in good condition with small metal symbol on both sides partially hidden by blue binding. Pommel has some finish wear on end. Crossguard is slightly oxidized and is slightly loose. Side knife has an unusual flat sided blade with some Japanese characters on one side of the blade. The grip of the knife is made of metal and has what appears to be a person etched into one side of the handle. Knife blade has pointy tip with no blunting and the edge has no nicks or damage. Blade has some slight oxidation but no active rust. Scabbard is in very good condition with only slight wear where the side knife goes. A very beautiful example of Japanese craftsmanship and a must have for Japanese sword collectors. See photos.

Blade measures 18.25" long. Tip is pointy but slightly blunted. Blade edge has a few miniscule nicks but retains a sharp edge. Hamon runs the length of the blade and blade has some minor oxidation with one small nick on the spine. Front collar is missing a piece of brass finish on right side. Crossguard is oxidized but ornately decorated with a dragon and rear collar has some brass decoration on it. Brown braids are half gone with pommel side of the grip retaining braids. Ray skin wrap is cracked on one side and only one grip ornament is present, other grip ornament is detached. End cup is nicely decorated. Blade is 16th century and sighed "bisen osafune sukesada". Tsuba is 17th century signed "echizen ju kinai saku" with gold inlaid "fuchi kashira". Side knife has Japanese characters on one side of the blade with grip decoration with a brass bow and arrow quiver. Blade is somewhat oxidized but retains a nice sharp edge. Scabbard has worn orange finish with ornately decorated fittings. Also included is some paper with Japanese characters on it. Wakizashi will need some restoration for the tsuba but overall this is a fine example of Japanese craftsmanship. See photos.

Blade measures 25.5" and has a wavy hamon throughout the blade. Tip is pointy but slightly dull. Blade edge has a few minor nicks and blade has a groove running from the edge beginning to the point line. Blade has some minor oxidation but no active rust. Ornately decorated brass crossguard has naval anchor in a leaf on the front as well as a Japanese character. Ray skin grip is braided with thin gold colored braids and in good condition. Brass handguard and grip strap are tarnished from handling but decorations on both are clear an visible. Retains factory edge with no edge nicks, good tip. Blade has some corrosion and has probably been polished. Good wood grip. Wood scabbard with brass fittings in very good original condition. Rifle bayonet in very good condition, retains most original bluing. Release button present and working. Sword is tight, in and out of the scabbard. Very nice blade. Bayonet measures 19.875". 1800's US Silver Bird Head Cavalry Saber

Blade measures 29.875" and has a few nicks in the blade edge and a slightly blunted tip. Blade has some oxidation and a groove that runs from the crossguard to 4.5" short of the tip. Ricasso appears to have a manufacturer's marking near the crossguard. Crossguard has a missing strip of metal on one side. Bone grips have several cracks and have some discoloration from age. Silver bird head pommel is tarnished but retains elaborate detail and shows no sign of damage. No scabbard with this saber. A relic of early US cavalry history. See photos.

Japanese cavalry sword. Blade serial# 26346. Blade in very nice original condition. May have been sharpened. Good tip. No corrosion. Light staining. Wood grip with stamped steel guard. Scabbard has no dents but the GI wrapped the exterior with rice paper to ship it home. Can be cleaned or left alone. Scabbard release lever intact. A nice war time example. Blade measures 30". Tip is pointy but slightly blunted. Blade has ornate decorations and is named to Mr. Christensen. Blade has some oxidation and has the manufacturer's mark "The Henderson Ames Co., Kalamazoo, Mich." on the ricasso near the crossguard. Brass crossguard is ornately decorated and has minor tarnishing. Bound grip is slightly worn. Pommel is also slightly tarnished. Scabbard is also named to Mr. Cristensen and features engravings on the scabbard. Brass fittings are also nicely decorated. Back side of scabbard is heavily oxidized. Leather carrying case is also named "J.W.Christensen". Case is heavily worn with bottom 12.5" darkly stained and flap has large tear. Carry handle is intact but held on by rope. See photos.

WWII German WKC Solingen Advertisement

The WKC company was founded in 1883 with the merger of Weyersberg and Kirschbaum and produced hand forged swords, knives, and daggers. The company would also produce war material for Germany during both world wars. Being one of the largest sword and knife producing companies in Solingen, they would produce ceremonial swords and daggers for the Nazis when they came into power. This advertisement prominently features two Nazi dress swords and a dress bayonet with the company's name and logo. This was brought back by Tom Johnson from the WKC factory in Solingen with a provenance letter on the back of the framed advertisement. Advertisement is in excellent condition with vivid color and no signs of damage. A must have for any collector of German blades. See photos.
