Crawford Livestock hosts the Legend Buttes Catalog Sale every spring and fall. We are happy to offer the 3rd Legend Buttes Catalog Sale that accommodates buyers and sellers whether they join us in-person or online to view, bid and buy! Animals must be purchased with cash or credit card where a 3% processing fee will apply. Online bidders and customers writing a check must be pre-approved by August 5th. No approvals will be made on Friday. (ATM locations in Crawford are: Tailgate Bar & Grill, The Corner Bar, Saddle Rock One Stop and Security First Bank. 2. Bids are accepted before the sale and live on www.proxibid.com. Live bidding only is available on Aug 7th on cattleusa.com If you aren’t already registered to Crawford Livestock, you must pre-register and be approved by 2 or more business days in advance (by August 5th). Buying at other salebarns via cattle usa does not count. You must have an account and be approved by CLM. 3. All horses will be available for viewing and inspection prior to sale. Crawford Livestock Market Soundness Guarantee applies to catalog entries only. All other horses are sold “as is” with all existing conditions and defects except as otherwise expressly stated herein. 5. Neither the Auctioneer, Crawford Livestock Market Management, any representative thereof, nor their consultants shall be responsible for any liability whatsoever, including, but not limited to, the loss, damage, injury, death, or illness of any horse, animal, person, or property before, during or after the sale. 6. If a dispute should arise between or among bidders, the Auctioneer shall settle the dispute and his decision shall be absolute, final and binding on all parties. Horses are at the buyer’s expense, risk, and responsibility from the instant the horse sold. 7. ALL Catalog and Open horses (in or out of state) must have current Coggins (1 year) and Health (30 days). ALL out of state horses MUST have current Coggins and Health. This applies to catalog, open, and loose horses. Loose in-state horses are not required to have Coggins or health. If a loose Nebraska horse is purchased by out of state buyer, the buyer will be responsible for paying a $45 Vet fee per head to accommodate Coggins testing and health. Vet will be on-site for sale day. There MAY BE a waiting period for Coggins results before horse can leave premises. 8. Buyer assumes full ownership of the animal(s) from the time it is sold in the sale ring and is responsible for proper feed and care. 9. Horses must be transported from CLM by Monday at 6 p.m. following the sale. Pep is a good all around horse. He has been used for ranch work, drug calves, as well as being shown in 4H. He knows his leads, will open and close gates, crosses water without issues. Pep does have a big motor so would not consider him kid broke but an intermediate rider could get along with him pretty easily. He walks out on his own or with a group. She neck reins on a loose rein and moves off your leg. She has a good stop on "whoa" and turnaround. She has been used in 4H and Playdays as well as on the ranch. While she is capable of a lot and very broke, she is best suited for an intermediate rider who can effectively use voice and leg cues. She is sound, but an easy keeper and does best on grass hay. She is good with her feet, easy to catch and a pleasure to be around.

2007 Chesnut Mare AQHA #X0666938-- Jazzy is the in-your-pocket kind of mare who stands 14.2. She will meet you at the gate each morning waiting for a little grain and a trip in the trailer to go chase cows. I have owned this mare for several years and she has come such a long way. She has been ridden in the arena quite a bit and gone through several shows, but she is most happy traveling outside and working cattle. She is a good rope horse and despite her size will get you right next to your subject and will also handle and hold a cow or calf just right. She is not the kind to buck and put you in a dangerous spot but might do better with a rider who is not going to put up with a lot of attitude. 2013 Chestnut Thoroughbred gelding, Ontario-bred, 16 hands, 1100 pounds, Sire: Giant's Causeway, Dam: Hello Maggie May (by Lemon Drop Kid) selling as grade, no papers in hand. Well-started 7 yr. old, 16 hand gelding ready to go on as ranch, show or pleasure mount. Happy's Causeway has been ridden under English tack and shows enthusiasm for jumping, but has the added bonus of outside miles doing ranch tasks. He's been used this spring to check cows, sort pairs and for trail riding. He rides out alone or in a group and letting him sit for days between rides doesn't cause issues. He's been started over jumps, is solid with his leads; has a comfortable lope perfect for long days on the range. He's gentle, thrives on attention, is good to shoe, catch, bathe, haul, clip, tie and stands at the mounting block. Dually, the sorrel, stands 15.1 hands and is 8 years old. Has a reining horse handle and has had quite a bit of cutting training. He is also started as a head and heel horse. He has pastured roped, can tie off and doctor. Has been used in the mountains, badlands and river bottoms to gather cattle. He has done all aspects of ranch work. This is one cool dude and fun horse to ride. Will spin a hole in the ground, hard sliding stop, will REALLY watch a cow, will run to one and track perfectly. He is safe for the whole family. 100% sound.

Rico- Welsh/QH Pony

Rico is a 10 yr old Welsh qtr cross. Very gentle. Has been used gathering yearlings and pairs. He's little but has a big heart. Have roped yearlings and calves off of him and branded calves. Carlos

Carlos has been my personal horse. He has been used for everything that a horse can do on a ranch. Drug countless calves to the fire, pasture rope and doctor. Sort, he will really work a cow and stay with one. Gather in the badlands and Missouri River bottoms. He will go all day long day in and day out. Carlos is one broke dude! He will spin, slide to a stop, side pass to gates. He has also been started as a head horse and used as a practice head horse. He stands 15.1 and weights 1300#. Not a beginner horse because he has a motor and very snappy with cues. Absolutely no buck, spook, rear, etc.
