Each is sepia-toned vintage photograph, one depicting a young girl holding the handgrip of a woven doll carriage in which is seated her Bebe Jumeau, the girl's straw bonnet resting nearby on the ground, in original frame; the other depicting a young girl in silk dress standing against a richly-carved Victorian wall, her favorite doll clasped in her arms, framed. Excellent condition. Circa 1880.

The miniature bulldog seated on back haunches, has aqua/blue and cream velvet cover, large amber glass eyes, swivel head, black stitched nose, black leather collar, and original metal button with underscored F, and red cloth label "Steiff 3410...". Near mint condition. Germany, Steiff, circa 1927, the velvet Bully was made in three sizes only, this being the smallest size. A very rare model especially in these distinctive velvet colors and in superb condition.

Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, a continuation model from the firm's art reform series, the use of the English language word "baby" in the head markings indicates its intention for the American or English market; the scarcity of the model suggests either its failure as a commercial endeavor or its exclusive production for a specific store. The carved wooden horse with swivel head and jointed legs has original dappled white finish, amber glass eyes, carved open mouth with painted teeth, leather ears, horsehair mane and tail, painted hooves. There is a heavy cast metal rod from under-torso which attaches to a wooden platform, which, in turn, is mounted on original wooden rockers. Condition: generally excellent, original finish throughout. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1910, the pony was presented as "Blitz" in the company's catalogs, shown in an original catalog photograph with a Schoenhut grandson riding atop, and was available as a standing pony (posed on cast metal rod with wooden base) or with the attached rockers. Value Points: either version of "Blitz" is rare as the toy was quite expensive for its time; this rocking version is virtually never found, especially in this remarkably preserved condition.

Very good condition, some mohair wear, the mechanism functions when the wheels are manually revolved but not when the mechanism is pulled. Two dappled wooden horses with glass eyes are posed upon a wooden wheeled platform, and are pulling a wooden show wagon with flat-top stage upon which are posed three side-show performers and the wagon driver. The wagon, with original red painted and gilt decorations, is embossed Humpty Dumpty Circus along with raised designs of a chariot and man on horse. The detachable performers include Foxy Grandpa, Jockey and Baby, each with distinctively-modeled face, hand-painted facial features and hair or cap. Condition: generally excellent, original finish overall is well-preserved with few paint rubs on Baby hair. Comments: Schoenhut, the Show Wagon from Humpty Dumpty's Circus, circa 1909. Presented within original presentation box is a bisque head character doll with fully-jointed composition body, along with two alternate heads and costumes able to be assembled with the body. The heads include 233 with brown glass eyes, painted hair, crying expression with closed mouth; 235 with blue glass eyes, auburn flocked hair, laughing expression on closed mouth with two upper beaded teeth; and 237 with blue glass eyes, light brown flocked hair, slightly-parted lips with row of porcelain teeth. Condition: generally excellent, unplayed with. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912, the rare multi-head series was designed to allow a child to change the doll's head, according to the play at hand, and was likely inspired by the series of multi-head character dolls offered by German firms such as Kestner at this time. The set was presented in the 1912 SFBJ catalog. Value Points: very rare-to-find, likely few were ever created, this example with original costumes and beautiful state of preservation, including paper box lid with three-language description on inside lid indicating the set was designed for France, Germany, England, and America, and with instructions for easily changing the head.

28" (71 cm.) 17" x 18". A wooden-framed apothecary shop has a painted faux-brick red exterior with large shop windows and door framed in wooden block "stones" that are painted dark green to match the base and roof line. Decorative green-painted wooden columns with gold accents are affixed to the front, and the paneled front door is natural wood. The front hinges open at the center, and the front door with cast brass handle opens separately, if desired. The interior is painted its original green with dark green and red stripes at the ceiling line. The shop windows are deep cabinets that are accessed by sliding-glass from the top. A wooden cabinet with 24 drawers that center a mirrored set-back display niche, and eight lower cabinet doors line the back wall. There are two attached wooden shelves on the sides and a wooden bin with open compartments. The floor is a rich inlay design of various woods in an intricate design. The shop is fitted with a vast array of apothecary bottles in amber and clear glass, many with original labels in old German language, along with numerous cardboard boxes with handwritten labels, and various glass beakers and funnels, cast brass mortar and pestles. A wooden counter has an attached cast brass scale, and an early carton gentleman with painted features and original costume stands in attendance. Original finish is well-preserved; overall excellent with some few very minor wood repairs on the interior cabinet. Germany, mid-19th century, in the early Christian Hacker style.

The wooden circus parade wagon with red paint accented with rich gilt details of carved crest, medallions and columns is arranged upon a wooden platform with hidden electrified mechanism beneath. Inside are three white paper mache polar bears, the larger with a bellows neck, and when activated, the large polar bear moves his side to side. Excellent condition. The parade wagon is highly suggestive of Schoenhut with likely commissioned mechanical presentation by Schoenhut or other artisan. Circa 1915.

The top hinges open for seating access on the chamber pot hole which is covered, when not in use, by another hinged lid. The sides of the seat are upholstered in padded homespun, and an opening drawer at the back provides access to the brass chamber pot for cleaning. The inside lid is stamped "V.W. Hamilton Patented June 1st, 1858". Excellent condition. The construction detail and maker's stamp indicate original production as salesman's sample of the furnishing. American, 1858.

Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kenner (seven lines of markings). Comments: Kenner, 1972, the doll was made for one year only, from designs by Allison Katzman and made by Kenner. Value Points: very rare pop culture doll with changeable eyes which transform when pull-string at back is pulled. The eye colors change from "groovy green" to "bouncy brown" to "beautiful blue" and to "pretty purple", according to Kenner ads.
