The brass butt plate is regimentally marked 22 .L.R. for most likely, Landwehr Regiments. It was originally manufactured as a flintlock weapon and later converted to a percussion firing system using a curved cone blouster seat that was forged directly onto the breech. The year of the conversion (1834) is stamped on both the left side of the breech flat as well as the face of the butt plate. The M1809 was manufactured by 4 different arsenals - Potsdam, Saarn, Neisse, and Suhl and Dresden. Original Authentic Civil War Model 1860 Light Cavalry "Trooper Bend" Saber Mfg. by AMES Lot #83 (Sale Order 84 of 381) Good Condition with a great antique patina on blade/brass. It features a brass mount, a wood with leather wrapped sword grip and fully intact bound brass wire wrap. AMES Mfg. has been pitted off the blade but we know it's AMES because of the inspector mark "J.F." He was a Union Government inspector assigned to AMES Sword Factory during the period of the Civil War. Guard numbered "48". The uncommon "Trooper Bend" is when the guard has been bent upward and the handguard is bent into a twisted design. No one knows exactly what the reason was for this. Some would say it was for tactical advantages, or that it was a CSA Capture, but no one knows for sure, but what we do know is that it was an actual assigned sword that was saw battle. If only items could talk... This is a great piece of original history here.

Original WWII USAAF Army Airforce Type D-8 Estoppey Bomb Sight Lot #105 (Sale Order 106 of 381) This was used Estoppey D-8 Bombsight taken from crashed bomber, only aprox. 9000 were ever produced. Designed by Georges Estoppey, used a clock timer mechanism to compute the drop angle. This was a much simpler and cheaper device than the Norden or Sperry bomb sights. There was a severe shortage of Norden bombsights just before WWII and in the early years, so Estoppeys were called into heavy production beginning in 1938. The bombardiers would wind the timer up with a crank, set the time of fall information in the front dial, then rotate the crank in the opposite directrion to activate the timer. He would then look from the top wire down to the front wire, and rotate the crank so as to keep the front wire on the target. When the timer ran out, the crank was locked out, fixing the wire position. He would then shift to looking from the top wire down to the rear wire. When the target came into view, he would release the bomb. /// Story behind it: Consignor purchased from WWII AAF vet's estate. Family stated he was stationed in England during WWII and pulled this out of a bomber that had crash landed on return from a Germany bomb run. He was stationed at Great Dunmow Air Field in England 1944-45.

Vet Bringback German Private Purchase Summer Issue M36 Tunic/Pants for SS-Hauptscharfuhrer Uniform Lot #142 (Sale Order 143 of 381) / Hauptfeldwebel Der Spiess with Riding Pants - Complete Private Purchase set found by consignor's grandfather in a barn in germany, right after the war - Brought back by John B. Graham of the 3rd Infantry Division after the war along with his combat uniform with matching laundry stamps in LOT 369. John B. Graham also brought back other things such as some of the german medals after this lot. I would describe this uniform as the tunic in Good condition for well over 70 years old, and the pants are excellent. Matching stamp on both Tunic and pants, (B1185), possibly a laundry stamp? Construction consists of a Non black light glowing Thin Brown cotton with field grey metal buttons and a dark green collar. Silver NCO braid, black collar tabs (right side with runes in silver-grey RZM embroidery, left side with partial rank). Embroidered left sleeve eagle on a black base (partially coming off, left side of wing is affixed with a pin to keep from hanging off and getting damaged). Two rows of rank braid (tress) around the cuff. Non-Glowing Green NCO jodhpurs, or riding pants. The button for the bottom left pocket came loose and is in the pocket. ////// SS-Hauptscharfuhrer- Given the small break in stitching and moth holes on the left collar tab, as well as the NCO tresse, it would make sense that the left collar tab is missing one rank bar and 2 pips, which would indeed give the SS-Hauptscharfuhrer rank, which is a senior NCO. Based on the two silver cuff rings (nicknamed "piston rings") indentifying him as a Hauptfeldwebel, or company Spieß ("Spear") or Der Spiess, which was the position that oversaw unit discipline, administration, and logistics given to the senior NCO. In the German Wehrmacht, Hauptfeldwebel was not a rank but a position title or appointment, equivalent to the Commonwealth company sergeant major or U.S. company-level first sergeant.
