2003A $2 Green Seal Dallas Green Seal Federal Reserve Note (FRN) Grades Gem++ CU Lot #11 (Sale Order 11 of 251) 2003A $2 Green Seal Dallas Green Seal Federal Reserve Note (FRN) Grades Gem++ CU. On November 3, 1975, Secretary of the Treasury William E. Simon announced the reissuance of the $2 note as a cost-saving measure; the new $2 notes would be available from banks on April 13, 1976, Thomas Jefferson's birthday.[28] Series 1976 and onward $2 bills were partially redesigned and reissued as a Federal Reserve Note. The note retains the same portrait of Jefferson, and the basic design of the obverse remains unchanged since 1928. The treasury seal and serial numbers are printed in green ink, replacing the red used on the previous United States Note. Since the reintroduction of the note coincided with the United States Bicentennial, it was decided to use a bicentennial-themed design on the reverse. The bill was not issued specifically to celebrate the bicentennial, as is widely assumed. An engraved rendition (not an exact reproduction) of John Trumbull's Declaration of Independence replaced Monticello on the reverse. Beginning with Series 1995, all $2 notes have been produced at the Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. An issue of Series 2003A $2 bills was printed from July to September 2006 for all twelve Federal Reserve Banks.

*Star Note * 1957B $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades Choice AU Lot #16 (Sale Order 16 of 251) *Star Note * 1957B $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades Choice AU. When notes are discovered that have been printed incorrectly (such as having the serial numbers upside down, etc.) the misprinted "error notes" are replaced with star notes because no two bills within a certain series can be produced with the same serial number. They are used to maintain a correct count of notes in a serial number run. By their nature, star notes are more scarce than notes with standard serial numbers and as such are widely collected by numismatists. Some of the highest prices paid for modern (post-1928) U.S. banknotes have been for star notes. The note itself is a Silver Certificate. Silver Certificates were redeemable in Silver. One of their most distinctive qualities is the blue Treasury seal and serial numbers. These notes include an additional legend printed on the face that is not present on any other Federal Reserve notes. The legend states that Silver had been deposited in the Treasury and was payable on demand to the note’s bearer. Signatures Priest/Anderson

It was the darkest days of World War II, just after Pearl Harbor. Everybody in Hawaii was sitting on pins and needles. Were the Japanese preparing a massive invasion of the islands? If they did invade, they could use the millions of dollars in currency on the islands to buy war material. To thwart this, these $1 Federal Reserve Notes were sent to the islands. Each has a large HAWAII printed on the reverse. If the Japanese did invade, the currency would be demonetized. After the threat passed, most of these "Hawaii" Notes were destroyed. Today they're hard to find.

Series 1976 $2 Green Seal Dallas Green Seal Federal Reserve Note (FRN) Grades Select AU Lot #73 (Sale Order 73 of 251) Series 1976 $2 Green Seal Dallas Green Seal Federal Reserve Note (FRN) Grades Select AU.

*Star Note* 2001 Atlanta FRN Green Seal Grades vf++ Lot #81 (Sale Order 81 of 251) *Star Note* 2001 Atlanta FRN Green Seal Grades vf++.

2003A $2 Green Seal Dallas Green Seal Federal Reserve Note (FRN) Grades Gem++ CU Lot #121 (Sale Order 121 of 251) 2003A $2 Green Seal Dallas Green Seal Federal Reserve Note (FRN) Grades Gem++ CU.

*Star Note * 1957 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades vf++ Lot #169 (Sale Order 169 of 251) *Star Note * 1957 $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades vf++.

2008 United States Mint Proof Set - 14 Pieces - Extremely low mintage, hard to find Grades Lot #178 (Sale Order 178 of 251) 2008 United States Mint Proof Set - 14 Pieces - Extremely low mintage, hard to find Grades. Many people ask why the 2008 set is so much higher priced than the other near dates. It had a slightly lower mintage, but not drastically. The answer is, the mint shut down sales of the set in June, 5 months earlier than usual and although the mintage of 1.5 million pieces seems near par with the 2-3 million pieces of other near dates, with the mint shutting down sales and many folks who were collecting the whole series, (this was the final piece to the 50 state quarter series) getting shut out, they immediately went to the secondary market. But most of the 1.5 million sold by the mint went to collectors who bought them to keep and did not sell them into the secondary market. So you basically had a shortage of about 1/2 to 1 million sets below demand. The Set contains 4 Proof Presidential Dollars, 5 Proof State Quarters, a Proof Kennedy Half Dollar, a Proof Roosevelt Dime, as well as 3 additional Proof coins Including the Sacagawea Proof Dollar coin. Complete with Original Packaging and COA.

Group of 3 Special Mint Sets 1965-1967 20 coins Grades Lot #180 (Sale Order 180 of 251) Group of 3 Special Mint Sets 1965-1967 20 coins Grades. In 1964, just when the mint was removing 90% silver coins from circulation, and the us was having a coin shortage, the Mint announced that beginning in 1965, no Proof Sets, or Mint Sets would be produced, Instead they would be making a Special Mint Set. Special Mint Set coins were not proofs, and were not uncirculated, Mint State pieces. Dies for the coins were over polished, while the planchet themselves were not polished. The resulting SMS coins have a brilliant, proof like appearance, much nicer than the run-of-the-mill circulation coins. In 1965 these sets were released in the Traditional Mint Cellophane and White Envelope and in 1966 and 1967 they were packaged in hard, pale blue plastic holders. Note, the set contains a 40% Half Dollar.

*Star Note* 1953 $2 Red Seal United States Note Grades vf+ Lot #241 (Sale Order 241 of 251) *Star Note* 1953 $2 Red Seal United States Note Grades vf+. 1953 red print two dollar bills can be broken up into four different types by signature combination. 1953 two dollar bills feature Thomas Jefferson as the central figure. The back of the bill shows Monticello. These were printed in Washington DC and circulated across the country. They have red overprints and a red seal on the right hand side of the bill. You can find the following phrases on the bill, “Two Dollars, United States Note, The United States of America will pay to the bearer on demand Two Dollars” “This note is a legal tender at its face value for all debts public and private”.
