1964 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III (BJ8) Phase 1

Lot #632 (Sale Order 32 of 146)

From 48 years ownership, always used, restored and repaired, a remarkable story.

  • Original UK right-hand drive. Sold by A.E. Neale. BMC in Hertford and first registered 21/05/1964
  • Owned by our vendor since August 1972 and kept running and maintained every year since
  • Partly restored in 1993 and January/February 2005 (rewired and resprayed) - see condition report
  • The engine is basically standard apart from a longer-dwell camshaft, six-branch exhaust manifold and stainless steel exhaust system
  • Full engine rebuild in 2013 - clutch/bearings/UJs/overdrive unit - see condition report
  • 2017: All new wire wheels with Blockley 165 x 15 tyres & tubes
  • 2019: Rebuilt rear axle with all new bearing & seals. Differential overhauled by Hardy Engineering. Brake cylinders overhauled, new handbrake linkages and new brake shoes
  • Matching numbers, Heritage Certificate, extensive history file with photos and invoices

1967 Austin Mini Cooper 1275 S

Lot #661 (Sale Order 61 of 146)

Top of the 'desirability' stakes, a fully restored, Mk1 1275S from long-term ownership.

  • This Mk1 1275 S was built in late 1967 and first registered on 29/01/1968
  • Acquired by our vendor around 13 years ago in a sorry state
  • Between 2009 and 2014 various works were undertaken and, in 2014, it was decided to carry out a full bare metal, 100% restoration to return the car to a factory standard.
  • It then stayed at the restorers for five years, being completed in 2019. There is not enough space here to describe the sheer quality of the restoration but a detailed list of all work undertaken will be provided with the vehicle.
  • In summary though, back to metal restoration, replacement of interior as per the original factory specification, full engine and transmission rebuild and engine bay restoration
  • It's now finished in Old English White (WT3) with a Black Roof (BK1)
  • The replacement interior was by Newton Commercial in Tartan Red/Gold Brocade Grey. New roof lining. Door liners in Gold Brocade Grey, Tartan Red carpets
  • Central dashboard not restored but in good condition. Non-original steering wheel. Original seatbelts replaced with inertia reel
  • Wiring loom renovated and rebraided. Hydrolastic suspension was replaced with a dry system in 2009
  • Supplied with full restoration documentation and a Heritage Certificate

Lot #669 (Sale Order 69 of 146)

Lovely Li 150 Series 3 that has been sympathetically upgraded.

Following the unreliable TV 175, Lambretta went back to the drawing board to create one of its all-time greats, the 'Li' used the bore/stroke dimensions of the preceding 'D' Series but housed its entirely new engine in modern bodywork similar to that of the TV.

  • The handlebar-mounted headlight and 'slimline' styling of the Series 3 is probably the definitive Lambretta look
  • With our vendor for 10 years during which time it has been substantially upgraded
  • Upgrades include; 200cc kit, new carburettor, new crank, Duplex drive chain, upgraded chain guide, heavy-grade clutch springs, tuned exhaust system, electronic ignition
  • Other mods; front forks with added dampers, long-range stainless steel fuel tank with new fuel tap, tubeless wheels and spare tubeless wheel, chrome bars and rear rack
  • As well as being considerably quicker, the Li now presents superbly in blue and white
  • Our vendor has retained all of the older parts to enable the buyer to return it to original
