Woodie Bar Solid Wood Bar Lot #126 (Sale Order 26 of 247) Now for something completely different and special, a custom built bar based on a surfer woodie station wagon.
With the look of a 1940s Ford “......Woodie”...... station wagon this custom built bar pays tribute to the surfer culture and its links to a special vehicle beloved of Southern California surfers. Jan and Dean celebrated that tie in a song originally written for the Beach Boys by Brian Wilson called “......Surf City.”...... The opening line goes; “......I bought a ’......34 wagon and we call it a woodie.”...... The Beach Boys also recorded an instrumental called, “......Boogie Woodie.”......
The most stunning feature of this “......woodie bar”...... is the metallic flake red paint job on the front end of the car body and the equally impressive grill. The headlights and taillights both actually work and are wired to an inverter that plugs into 110V.
Rescued from a tavern with a “......surfer”...... theme, this bar features a highly polished surf board complete with tail fin as the bar top. The footrest resembles a chromed exhaust pipe. Mirrors have been mounted on the back of the bar to resemble the windows of the “......woodie.”...... The rear view mirror is even shaped like a surfboard.
The entire unit is on a tube steel chassis with 6 casters for easy movement.
The black finish on the floor and backside are pickup bed liner material that makes it waterproof.
Purchasing this special piece of automobilia will be a big help to the Saratoga Automobile Museum 503(c)(3); the consignor will donate 100% of the proceeds to support the Saratoga Automobile Museum’......s distracted driver, education, and exhibition programs.
This beautiful, one of a kind tribute to the days of surfin’...... and woodies, will give the owner something special to talk about when entertaining friends and fellow automobile enthusiasts.
ESTIMATE: $10,000-$15,000

1988 Cadillac Eldorado Lot #162 (Sale Order 63 of 247) 1988 was met with an extensive restyle, and sales nearly doubled from the previous year, up to 33,210. While the wheelbase, doors, roof, and glass remained relatively unchanged, new body design gave the 1988 model a more "Eldorado" appearance. Now available in 17 exterior colors (previously 19), the new Eldorado was 3" longer than last year. Underneath the restyled hood was Cadillac's new 155 horsepower 4.5 liter V8. A comprehensive anti-lock braking system. Longer front fenders held "bladed" tips, and a new grille above the revamped front bumper. In back, new three-sided tail lamps - reminiscent of the 1987 Deville - appeared along with a new bumper and trunk lid. Bladed 14" aluminum wheels remained standard, while an optional 15" snowflake-pattern alloy wheel was included with the Touring Suspension option. The original car sold for $24,891. This 1988 restyle would be the last, until the model was replaced by an all-new Eldorado for 1992.

1973 Plymouth Barracuda Lot #164 (Sale Order 65 of 247) 1973 Plymouth Barracuda
A nicely customized version of the Plymouth Barracuda, this looks like the cars that defined muscle cars. These cars are highly collectable today because by 1973 demand for muscle cars was in decline. Thanks to the Arab oil embargo and tough insurance costs buyers were looking for economy cars, not high-performance muscle cars.
This 2-door coupe sports a custom blue and white paint job with a white vinyl top. The hood is from a 340 “......Cudda”...... with those dramatic twin air scoops. Rally wheels with Redline tires add to the look of this customized muscle car.
The engine is actually the 318 cu.in V8 with high performance options. The stock 318 delivered 150 hp. But this is not the original engine. Disc brakes in the front and electronic ignition were standard in this model. The transmission is the floor mounted automatic preferred by most customers at the time. Power brakes, power steering and air conditioning make this a civilized muscle car.
The interior is also customized in white vinyl with bucket seats in the front and a bench seat in the back.
The odometer reads 91,570.
These cars are becoming quite collectable because of the limited production runs at the end of the muscle car age.
Estimate: $35,000 - 40,000

1965 Chevrolet Chevelle S.S. Lot #167 (Sale Order 68 of 247) The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized car built by Chevrolet for three generations from1964 to 1977. Although the 1971 Chevelle retained the 1970 body, the front-end and rear-end styling were upgraded to include large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. The grille was widened and featured a bright horizontal bar that divided it into two sections. A small "Chevelle" nameplate was located in the lower left corner of the grille. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper.
Chevrolet's entry into the muscle car world was the Chevelle Super Sport or S.S. model. Early 1964 and 1965 models had a Malibu SS badge on the rear quarter panel. This fine example of a Malibu badged Chevelle has the 327 cu.in. eight-cylinder engine producing 350 hp mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. This Chevelle also comes equipped with power steering, windows and an original interior. This Super Sport has a non-matching number engine but is ready to be enjoyed on the open road.

*Automatic Transmission
*Power Steering & Brakes
*Leather
*Dual Exhaust
*Mahogany MoMo Steering Wheel
This vehicle was factory built by Heritage, full frame on chassis, some documentation (manufacturing & other - binder in trunk)
From the aggressive front grill, chrome exhaust pipes and dramatic lines flowing to a satisfactory rear end, the design of these Mercedes roadsters is one of the great automotive designs of all time. It is only fitting that some 60 years after they were introduced these special cars are honored with replicas and reproductions.
This car is an example of a properly done tribute to a great automotive design. Fittingly this vehicle is not a kit car but was actually built at the Heritage Motor Cars factory in South Florida. The chassis is from a Camaro and features a Chevrolet 350 IROC V8 motor with a 4-barrell Carter carburetor to provide performance in keeping with the car’......s design. A dual exhaust delivers a sound also in line with the car’......s formidable look. Power steering, power brakes and an automatic transmission with floor mounted shift make this a very drivable motor.
The tan interior compliments the deep red body color. The bench seats are leather with wood trim on the dashboard and throughout the interior. The Momo steering wheel, in a rich mahogany, fits well with the feel of this unique car. As you would expect there is an AM/FM radio with cassette.
This 1990 convertible boasts only 15,500 miles on the odometer. Documentation from the manufacturer and other information about the car is included in a binder in the trunk.
Since Heritage is no longer producing these replicas, they have now become collectable in their own right.
Estimate: $24,000 - 27,000

1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Lot #189 (Sale Order 91 of 247) 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle “......Heavy Chevy”......
In 1971 the top of the line muscle car for the Chevrolet Chevelle lineup was the Super Sport. There was a problem though. Insurance rates for the SS were through the roof scaring off buyers. The answer was a new model called the “......Heavy Chevy”...... introduced at mid-year. This model was a available with any Chevrolet engine except the 454, reserved for the SS model.
The Heavy Chevy only came as the base Chevelle sport coupe with bench seats, vinyl carpeting and no center console but with an upgraded suspension. The model run lasted only 2-years, so these cars are relatively rare.
This isn’......t your basic stock “......Heavy Chevy.”...... The engine in this car is the 350 cu.in. V8 but is a 383 stroker and puts out a claimed 425 hp. It has stainless valves, 9:1 pistons with 2 Dart heads and MSG ignition. It features power brakes with discs in the front and rear drums. The wheels are American Racing “......Torq Thrust”...... racing “......mags”....... The transmission is a floor mounted 4 speed.
The exterior is burnt orange with appropriate badging and cosmetic details for a “......Heavy Chevy”......
The odometer shows 60,909 miles but true mileage is unknown.
This very rare car is offered
Please Note: This vehicle is excluded from purchase by New York Retail buyers.

1972 Chevrolet Nova Rally Sport Clone Lot #190 (Sale Order 92 of 247) 1972 Chevy Nova Rally Sport Clone
The Chevrolet Nova was something of a prosaic economy car until the muscle car era. Quickly launched as a competitor to the Ford Falcon with the name Chevy II it evolved into a larger vehicle but still with a reasonably compact wheelbase. Over the years it became known as the Nova. Then its compact design made it ideal for turning it into an eye-catching muscle car.
The Nova Rally Sport of 1972 looked much like an SS but could be ordered without the Super Sport 350 cubic inch V8. So, the Nova Rally Sport would look like a muscle car but could be a disappointing performer. This car has corrected that short coming. It has a 402 (bored 30 over) V8 which makes this car even more powerful than the original SS and a real muscle car.
A floor mounted 4 speed shifter transfers the power to the rear axle. The interior is in black with a bench seat. It also has power steering and Rally wheels.
The red exterior features Rally Sport badging. The odometer shows 21,638 miles which is not the original mileage.
This very rare car is offered
Please Note: This vehicle is excluded from purchase by New York Retail buyers.
Estimate: $35,000 - 40,000

1955 Packard Caribbean Lot #205 (Sale Order 106 of 247) For 1955, Packard introduced an all new overhead valve V8 to replace their antiquated straight 8 to compete directly with Cadillac. In top spec as found in their most expensive model, the Caribbean, the 352cid version featured Rochester dual 4-barrel carburetors and was rated at an impressive 275hp with 355 ft/lbs of torque, which topped Cadillac's heavier Eldorado by 5hp and 10 ft/lbs. The Caribbean also featured Packard's highly advanced torsion level suspension, which soaks up any road surface, no matter how imperfect, in a relaxed, effortless manner. It wowed the editors at Motor Trend Magazine, who proclaimed that the Packard can "float you through severest of bumps with the greatest of ease." Priced at nearly $6,000, just 500 Caribbean’......s were built for 1955.
This Caribbean is nicely presented, finished in a tri color paint scheme of White Jade/Zircon/Sapphire Poly with factory correct white and blue two-tone leather interior.
This special California/Arizona car has benefitted from body-up restoration in 2002 and has been driven sparingly ever since. Everything has been maintained in excellent condition. This Packard drives as it should and is loaded with extras such as superbly working torsion bar self-leveling suspension, dual Rochester 4 BBL carbs, power windows, power steering, Easamatic power brakes, power seat and power operated soft top. Also included is the Wonderbar signal seeking radio and dual exhaust. This car also features the optional real chrome wire wheels with wide white wall tires. This Packard would make the new owner proud wherever it is seen, and he/she should enjoy the Packard’......s performance for many miles and many years to come.
Estimate: $70,000 - 80,000

1932 Plymouth PB Roadster Lot #210 (Sale Order 112 of 247) PB ROADSTER
Joseph Frazer, a Chrysler executive who was later a partner in the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation, selected the Plymouth name. He named the car after the Plymouth Cordage Company that at the time, produced twine. He chose the name since twine was a popular product with farmers. Due to the Great Depression, 1932 was the lowest auto sales year since 1918. In spite of this, Plymouth increased its market share significantly and was the third most popular car in 1932.
There were ten different Plymouth models offered in 1932. The Businessman's Roadster cost $495 and 3,225 were sold of a total production run of 121,468. New for this year were the one piece front fenders, free standing chrome headlamps and an improved four cylinder engine. It generated 65 horsepower from 165 cubic inches. This was also the first year for a rigid "X" frame and oil filters became standard equipment. Brake drums were now fitted with centrifuse. This was a steel drum with a fused cast iron friction surface.
This car is one of 320 "Collegiate Special" models built in 1932. The black and orange colors represent Princeton University and it was a $40 factory option. This model is one known to be built as a Businessman's Roadster featuring these eye catching colors.

1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E Lot #215 (Sale Order 117 of 247) 1986 Mercedes Benz 190E Cosworth
On the surface this Mercedes Benz looks like a solid example of a 4-door family sedan from the mid-80s but look closer, this is actually a rare German hot rod. The only clue is that not so subtle rear wing.
While the Mercedes line of elegant simple 190 sedans sold extremely well around the world with a number of different engines it was seen as an economical family car. Then Mercedes decided they wanted a new car to compete in the world rally championship replacing the 450SLC they had been using.
With its low drag body design the 190 was a perfect fit. But it needed a better engine to race at that level and they turned to famous English engine firm Cosworth. Cosworth designed a 16 valve head for the 2.3 liter high strung 4 cylinder that produces 185 horsepower in street spec and some 320-horsepower in race trim. This is a European spec car which means it will have better performance than the less powerful US imports.
A revised suspension package and Gertag 5-speed gearbox further enhance that performance.
Mercedes pulled the plug on the rally car project when Audi introduced the Quattro which went on to dominate international rally competition. With an excellent engine and well-developed chassis Mercedes decided to enter the DTM series, that’......s the intensely competitive racing series that features sedans from all the major German car makers. Racing in the DTM meant that the company had to “......homologate”...... the 190E with a production road version to quality it as a “......production”......car. It was the success of the 190E in DTM that directly led to the BMW M3 and touched off a whole series of German production performance sedans that continues today.
This particular car has had a series of mechanical upgrades with the upper engine refreshed including new valves, also a new water pump and a new clutch. A new stereo radio has just been installed.
This car is painted in a Metallic Charcoal Gray with a gray/plaid interior featuring bucket style seats with leather trim both front and back. There is also a sunroof.
The car shows 162896 KM on the odometer which works out to barely over 100,000 miles.
The Mercedes Benz 190 series is beginning to find favor with collectors and with the special E performance package from Europe this car is rare and collectable.

1963 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Lot #217 (Sale Order 119 of 247) The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud was a luxury automobile produced by Rolls-Royce Limited from April 1955 to March 1966. The Silver Cloud was the core model of the company during that period. The Silver Cloud replaced the Silver Dawn model.
The construction of the Silver Cloud was body-on-frame with a majority of the body shells being produced by the Pressed Steel Company. A light-weight aluminum was utilized for the doors, hood and trunk lid. A slight redesign for the Silver Cloud III in 1962 made the overall footprint smaller and the interior was upgraded.
The 6.2 liter, eight-cylinder engine paired with the GM-sourced four-speed automatic, Hydramatic transmission, carried over from the Silver Cloud II, gave the Silver Could III power and a smooth ride for its passengers. This James Young Silver Cloud III limousine features right-hand drive and is a fine driving vehicle with class. It would be a nice addition to anyone's collection.

1965 Ford Mustang Lot #219 (Sale Order 121 of 247) 1965 K Code Mustang Coupe
I purchased this vehicle from the selling dealer in Akron, Ohio. The car was previously restored. The selling dealer reported that the original owner purchased the car in California. After many years in California, he moved to Ohio where the car remained until my purchase. The original owner eventually passed away and the car was then restored by his son. The son ultimately sold the car to the dealer from whom I purchased it. This is all hearsay with no documentation, but the VIN and door plate show this is an original San Jose built car which was delivered to Los Angeles, California. It is listed in the K code registry as last residing in Ohio so the story fits what is documented.
The paint on the vehicle is a terrific Highland green with a deep, high gloss clear coat that shows extremely well. It is a real head turner that get a “......thumbs up”...... from drivers all day long and starts conversations and receives complements at every gas stop.
The vehicle is a 271hp K code Hipo 289ci coupe. It is not a GT optioned car. Only one in 10,000 1965-66 Mustangs received the K code engine, the same engine used in the Mustang Shelby GT350. The left inner fender VIN matches the door data plate. The engine has the matching VIN stamp as does the transmission. The cylinder heads are date code correct Hipo heads, 4L18, appropriate for a March 1965 built car. The intake manifold is a new, Shelby Cobra Hi-rise aluminum piece that is a period correct upgrade and performs better than the factory cast iron unit. The carburetor is a correct Autolite 600cfm manual choke 4bbl carb but is not a Hipo part number carburetor. For better reliability and drivability, the distributor is a mechanical advance pertronix unit with a high output coil, the coil top painted yellow to mimic the original. The engine was rebuilt prior to my ownership. It runs strong without issue. It blows no smoke. I replaced the rear main seal and set the valves for the solid lifter camshaft. The harmonica balancer is the original oversized Hipo piece. The aluminum water pump is new. It has a reproduction Hipo fan. The fan shroud and radiator are original. The radiator is recored. It has the oversized alternator belt pulley. The exhaust is correct for a late March 1965 build date with Hipo exhaust manifolds, 2”...... pipes, dual mufflers and exhaust resonators. Turn down tips are correct for a non-GT K code vehicle.
All 1965 K code Mustangs received the Ford 4 speed top loader transmission. The VIN stamped on the case. The transmission is resealed, the shifter rebuilt. The clutch linkage is rebuilt, no clutch slippage. The rear end is the correct 9”...... housing with narrow spring mounting ends. It maintains the correct 3.50 open differential.
Wheels are styled steel rims with correct 6.95 dual redline biased tires, same as original. It has manual 4 piston front disc brakes with correct single reservoir master cylinder. Suspension is tight. Steering is tight. Original manual, quick ratio with no slack in the steering box.
Interior is standard black interior. The Rally Pac is a new reproduction. The passenger side view mirror is not original but improves safe drivability.
This vehicle is the perfect blend of rarity and drivability. The car attracts attention because the paint is stunning, but only the knowledgeable Mustang enthusiast will appreciate the high performance fender badge that signifies the Hipo K code engine under the hood. It is special enough to be a true, rare collector piece, but still accessible enough to be a regular driver that you can be comfortable taking to a local show or cruise-in.
Estimate: $38,000 - 42,000

1989 Jaguar XJS Lot #222 (Sale Order 124 of 247) When Jaguar decided to replace the iconic and highly successful E-type sports car they also decided to go in a very different direction. The replacement was the XJS. This was a powerful high-speed touring car built for cruising comfort and luxury introduced in 1975. The XJS was to remain in production for 21 years thanks to constant improvements and an appreciation for what it offered.
Technically this is a 1989 ½... version because of those constant upgrades. What is important is that this is a low mileage original car at 27,600 miles and best described as a “......survivor”...... that has been maintained to the highest level of attention. In fact, well know Jaguar expert Brian Donovan has looked after this car over the years.
It is also a beautiful example with the original British Racing Green paint and biscuit colored Connolly leather interior, bucket seats and wood trim. The steering wheel is a rare Momo model wood rim with a Jaguar emblem in the center. The handsome wheels are from BBS. Another attractive feature is added the luggage rack.
The previous owner had also made some improvements using oil resistant polyurethane in place of the rubber fittings and replacing the battery with an Optima “......yellow-top.”......
The fuel injected V12 5.3 Liter engine delivers over 265 HP through a 3-speed automatic transmission. In keeping with its luxury status the car includes factory air conditioning, power windows, power steering and power brakes.
The Jaguar XJS is in the process of being “......discovered”...... by Jaguar enthusiasts and this is a spectacular example.
Estimate: $18,000 - 20,000

1991 Nissan Figaro Lot #226 (Sale Order 128 of 247) HISTORY OF THE NISSAN FIGARO
The Nissan Figaro is a front-engine, front-wheel drive, two-door, 2+2, fixed-profile convertible manufactured by Nissan for model year 1991, and marketed in Japan at Nissan Cherry Stores.
A total of 20,073 Figaros were produced by Nissan in the convertible's single year of series production —...... all with right hand drive.
As a fixed-profile convertible, the upper side elements of the Figaro's bodywork remain fixed, while its fabric soft top retracts in conjunction with a solid panel with a defroster-equipped glass rear window —...... as seen in other notable fixed-profile convertibles, including the Vespa 400 (1957), Citroë...n 2CV (1948–......1990), the Nash Rambler Convertible "Landau" Coupe (1950), and the 1957 Fiat 500 —...... as well its 2007 Fiat 500 successor.
With its design variously attributed to Naoki Sakai and/or Shoji Takahashi, the design strongly recalls the Gutbrod Superior, a German fixed-profile convertible marketed from 1950-1954.
Because of its origins at Pike Factory, Nissan's special project group, the Figaro (along with the Nissan Pao, Be-1 and S-Cargo) are known as Nissan's "Pike cars," and represented a design strategy that adapted "design and marketing strategies from other industries like personal electronics."
In 2011, noted design critic Phil Patton, writing for the New York Times, called the Pike cars "the height of postmodernism" and "unabashedly retro, promiscuously combining elements of the Citroë...n 2CV, Renault 4, Mini, and Fiat 500".
This 1991 Nissan Figaro was imported from the UK by the current owner in 2018. Power is provided by a turbocharged 987cc inline-four coupled with a three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes a fixed-profile convertible top, a factory cassette radio, toggle switchgear, power windows, and air conditioning. The car now shows 43k miles and has received an oil change, a replacement air filter, and spark plugs. Factory 12?...... wheels feature white and chrome covers, braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and suspension is independent at all four corners. The four-place cabin features cream-colored leather seats with gray piping, a newly replaced dark blue dash top, and blue-colored carpets with new gray floor mats. 1996 Bentley Brooklands Lot #232 (Sale Order 134 of 247) 1996 Bentley Brooklands
Formerly Owned by Well known and Regarded Artist, Designer, and Sculptor and Collector Wendell Castle as his Personal Car!
Meticulously Maintained and Obviously Well Preserved Among Investment Vehicles of the like and higher caliber. The Bentley Brooklands was introduced in 1992 as a replacement for the Bentley Mulsanne S and Bentley Eight models.
The Brooklands continued Bentley's relatively angular design theme, which was also used on contemporary Rolls-Royce vehicles, throughout the 1980's and early 1990's. The exterior design featured the classic Bentley waterfall grille as well as dual headlights with wraparound parking lights. As in many Bentley and Rolls-Royce vehicles, the Brooklands also featured the trademark descending bootlid and chrome B-pillars.
The interior remained relatively unchanged from previous Bentley models, with more curvaceous design elements surrounding the leather-wrapped centre console. The steering wheel and interior door panels remained largely unchanged; the major change arrived in the form of relocating the gear selector to the centre console - for decades the standard practice among R-R and Bentley models utilized a steering column mounted selector. The interior continued to be surrounded by ample woodgrain which featured engraved, lighter-colored outlines on the door panels.
In the U.S. prices for the Brooklands started at around $156,500.
Over $235K In today's Dollars.

1956 Buick Special Lot #241 (Sale Order 145 of 247) 1956 Buick Special - Convertible
Desirable as is Collectible, beautiful in every way and the pride of GM as Harley Earl created a true masterpiece in advanced design and style that transcends generations.
This Solid, Survivor, Well Equipped, and Beautiful Convertible Coupe is all that and then some...
1956 Buick 60 Special 'The Best Buick Yet!" as it was claimed by GM execs of the era.
Buick first used the Century nameplate in the 1930s, commemorating its ability to exceed 100 mph. The year to see a Buick wearing the 'Century' name in the post World War II was in 1954. This model had Buick's most powerful engine in the smallest model, and fitted with tastefully understated bodywork. The Century's 'Fireball' overhead-valve V8 engine was capable of producing 255 horsepower in 1956. Zero-to-sixty took less than ten seconds, with the quarter-mile times of around 17 seconds and a top speed exceeding 110 mph. That same engine is now in 1956 used in the '60 Special'
Beautiful Automobile and an obvious Bar Raiser in Automotive Technology and Styling Advancements.

1967 Saab Model 95 Lot #242 (Sale Order 146 of 247) 1967 Saab 95 Station Wagon.
This may be the finest example of a SAAB 95 wagon in existence. It has undergone a remarkable, ground up, total restoration to the highest standards, all photo documented.
The odometer reads only 586 miles since completion of that restoration. The result is a stunning vehicle in a Mercedes deep wine colored metallic red and the interior has been redone in “......Palomino MB-Tex”...... weave with bamboo rattan pattern accents in the cargo area.
SAABs are highly prized in the Northeast thanks to their front wheel drive that worked so well in the region’......s sloppy winters. Surprisingly this was actually a California car which spent some 20-years in storage so escaped the ravages of winter snow. SAABS have always had a strong fan base particularly in this region. They were beloved in the day with their two stroke engines and unique styling.
Interestingly, this car has the original Ford derived four stroke engine but is still front wheel drive. The 1498cc V-4 puts out 65 bhp with a four-speed manual transmission. The engine in this SAAB was completely rebuilt and the transmission seals, gaskets and bearings were replaced as needed. Parallel wishbone independent front suspension with coil springs and the rear swing axle with coil springs were also included in the restoration. The carburetor, wiper motor, brake and clutch master cylinders, starter, alternator, water pump, steering rack and CV joints were all rebuilt. “......Soccer ball”...... SAAB Sonnet wheels with body color inserts were added during restoration along with period white wall radials.
This 2-door wagon has seating for seven with a folding, rear facing seat. In front it sports bucket seats.
The Scandinavians have always done well in internal rallying and famed rally drive Erik Carlson drove a SAAB 95 wagon to a strong finish in the 1961 Monte Carlo rally. Not bad for a station wagon.
SAAB was and is today an aerospace company based in Sweden. However, the automobile branch was sold to GM in 1990. It was sold off by GM during the 2009 recession. Efforts to keep the SAAB name alive failed and there will be no more SAAB automobiles. Despite the demise of SAAB, at least in this region, there continues to be a strong legacy for these rugged little cars with clubs and repair/restoration shops keeping the flame alive.
This SAAB 95 wagon is extraordinary, meticulous in every detail. It is clearly at a unique level and will be an award winning concours entrant for a new owner.
Estimate: $36,000 - 40,000

1936 Custom Rat-Rod Lot #243 (Sale Order 147 of 247) The Gentleman’......s Rat Rod
A rolling piece of sculpture built by “......Rodz By Ludwin,”...... This 1936 Chevy steel bodied pick up was displayed at the 2019 SEMA show for Ridler Wheels.
With a 1941 Dodge Bed shortened 18 inches and custom built frame with a 3 inch drop front axle, single leaf front springs compliment the rear coil overs. The Rod is powered by a 5.3 Chevy with 750 HP Fitech 55 lb. fuel injection. More improvements include 6-liter valve springs and 102 millimeter throttle body. But the real story is the twin 50 millimeter turbos with standalone oil system and Icebox performance radiator and intercooler, all housed in the bed of the truck.
A turbo 350 transmission and Ford 9 inch 373 posi rear complete the powertrain. The wiring harness is done by Ron Francis. Digital gauges, Iron clad interior, and Blue Tooth sound system finish the custom interior. The chassis sits on Ridler 18 inch wheels on the front with 20 inch at the rear. Fuel is housed in a 22 gallon aluminum tank.
Shown on many automobile media outlets this “......one of a kind”...... street Rod is also signed by Danny “......The Count”...... Koker, Kevin Mack, Aaron Kaufman and Gene Winfield. The attention to detail is beyond belief on this build and truly must be seen to be believed. An everyday driver for the guy who considers himself the complete gentleman!

This Car has Full Leather Interior
Push Button Start
Rear Convenience Trays
It's Original Tire Tools
Simply Magnificent!
During development it was referred to as the Bentley Mark VII; the chassis cards for these cars describe them as Bentley 7. The R Type name which is now usually applied stems from chassis series RT. The front of the saloon model was identical to the Mark VI, but the boot (trunk) was almost doubled in capacity.[citation needed] The engine displacement was approximately 4½... litres, as fitted to later versions of the Mark VI. An automatic choke was fitted to the R-type's carburettor. The attachment of the rear springs to the chassis was altered in detail between the Mark VI and the R Type.
For buyers looking for a more distinctive car, a decreasing number had custom coachwork available from the dwindling number of UK coachbuilders. These ranged from the grand flowing lines of Freestone and Webb's conservative, almost prewar shapes, to the practical conversions of Harold Radford which including a clamshell style tailgate and folding rear seats.
All R Type models use an iron-block/aluminium-head straight-six engine fed by twin SU Type H6 carburettors.[citation needed] The basic engine displaced 4,566 cc (278.6 cu in) with a 92 mm (3.62 in) bore and 114.3 mm (4.50 in) stroke. A four-speed manual transmission was standard with a four-speed automatic option becoming standard on later cars.

1997 Bentley Brooklands Trophy Lot #249 (Sale Order 153 of 247) 1997 Bentley Brooklands - Trophy
This 1997 Bentley was originally owned by the Piano Man himself Billy Joel!
Ordered new as one of 28 Trophy Editions built exclusively for the US Market.
Beautiful car and so,,, iconicThe 1997 Brooklands Trophy Edition was built to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Team Bentley domination in the 1922 Tourist Trophy (TT) Races in which they won the Team Prize.
(See Bentley History below.)
The Brooklands Trophy Edition features the extraordinary light pressure turbo Bentley 6.75L engine. This model carries many of the Turbo R's distinctive features: color keyed radiator grill vanes, two tone color seating hides, more extensive wood veneer, and chrome five spoke wheels with Avon tires.
The Bentley Brooklands fit perfectly the badge-engineered mold that had come to define so many Bentley products, as it was a purportedly sporting version of a basic design that had already been in use by Rolls-Royce/Bentley for over a decade. The platform on which the Brooklands was based made its debut for 1980, as the basis for the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit (or long-wheelbase Silver Spur) and Bentley Mulsanne. By the time the Brooklands was introduced in 1992 its platform was dated for such a high-end machine, making the Brooklands more endearingly quaint than impressively competitive.
The Brooklands was named after one of early motor racing's most famous tracks, a site where Bentley had proven itself a supremely capable marque in the years before its affiliation with Rolls-Royce. Recalling the Brooklands name on a car that, badging aside, had no connection to prewar racing Bentley's was perhaps a marketing gimmick, but it was nevertheless an evocative name that paid tribute to Bentley's triumphant early years.
Mechanically, the Bentley Brooklands had much in common with the other Rolls-Royce/Bentley models that used its platform. The familiar V8, an all-alloy design displacing 6.75 liters, was employed. The engine featured wet, cast-iron cylinder liners and Bosch fuel injection and ignition control. Four-wheel disc brakes and all-independent suspension were used to give the 2-and-a-half-ton Bentley manageable driving characteristics. The suspension was self-leveling, and featured an automatic ride control system.
The interior and exterior of the Brooklands, with their now-familiar forms, were traditionally opulent. A large, vertically veined grilled with quad headlights gave the big Bentley a menacing face, though its elegant proportions announced the car's unwillingness to behave brashly. Inside, leather and wood were used to cover nearly every visible surface. A full complement of neatly inset gauges and an automatic transmission shift lever located in the center console (instead of on the steering column) suggested the Bentley's supposed driver's car mentality.
There were relatively many Rolls-Royce's and Bentley's on the road with the same basic look as the Brooklands, since the body design had been used on so many different models. The Brooklands itself was quite exclusive, though, with just 1,380 produced including 172 long-wheelbase models.
Number manufactured 28 Total Trophy Editions Only but ONLY ONE OF THESE WAS BILLY JOEL'S.

*454 cu in - V8 - 600hp
*4 Speed Manual Transmission
*Power Steering and Brakes
*Arizona Car - No Rust
1964 Chevy El Camino
Offered is a true labor of love with the consignor spending 10 years to complete this project. It is quickly apparent the amount of sweat equity and attention to detail that was given to this one of a kind El Camino. Starting with the power plant, a 454 cu in monster with GM performance heads, Weiand intake and Holley 4-barrel carburetor, the engine produces well over 400 horsepower with plenty of torque to the rear wheels. An aluminum radiator completes the under hood package and cooling.
Attentive to the ease of driving in the modern world, the owner incorporated both power steering and power brakes with front discs for stopping efficiency. A Hurst 4 speed transmission is used for gear changes and a Gibson exhaust completes the muscular sound of the fire breathing 454. The interior is all new with black carpeting and vinyl bucket seats.
The stance of this rust free Arizona showpiece is outstanding and the American Racing Torque Thrusts just finish the look of the rolling piece of art. The body work is as straight as a razor with particular attention paid to the chrome and paintwork.
This 64 El Camino combines classic looks with performance and luxury touches to fill the tastes of any muscle car collector. A work of art indeed.
Estimate: $28,000 - 31,000

1988 Pontiac Fiero GT Lot #263 (Sale Order 168 of 247) Last and finest iteration of the Pontiac Fiero line
Exceptional condition
Exceptional low mileage for a 32 year-old car
Fully serviced September 1, 2020
Exterior/interior color
1988 PONTIAC FIERO GT
The Overview
As it was originally conceived, the Pontiac Fiero was always meant to be a small two-seater sports car with a V6 engine and unique new suspension setup. However, due to the impending oil crisis of the early ’......80s, the accountants decided that instead of utilizing new designs for everything that they would save money by making the Fiero a parts bin special. When it was released for the 1984 model year it received modest praise, but the cobbled together suspension and anemic “......iron duke”...... 4 cylinder engine left reviewer and buyers alike lamenting the decisions of the bean counters. Although the Fiero received the option of a V6 engine as early as 1985, it wasn’......t until 1988 that the car finally reached the full potential the original designers had hoped for. With the release of the 1988 model, the Fiero finally got the suspension setup that the designers had drawn up in the early 1980s. In addition to this, it received vented disk brakes and staggered wheels for improved handling balance. These improvements mean that the 1988 model year is the most sought after. Approximately 15,880 Fiero GTs were produced for 1988, most of which have been turned into Ferrari 308 replicas. 1988 was the final year for the production of the Fiero and the last unit rolled of the assembly line in Pontiac, Michigan on August 16, 1988. While the Fiero often does not get the love it deserves, it was a truly groundbreaking car for GM to produce. It is many people’......s opinions that if the company had followed the guidance of the designers instead of the accountants from the beginning that the Fiero would be held in much higher regard than it is today. The formula of the Fiero is undeniably cool, a mid-mounted V6 engine, a short wheelbase fitted with a proper suspension setup and the fact that it came from an American car maker in the ’......80s is truly outstanding.
The example on offer here, chassis number 1G2PG1190JP221785, is a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT fitted with a desirable 5-speed manual transmission and finished in Black exterior with Grey cloth interior. This particular Fiero is outstandingly original and has only 15,172 miles on the odometer from new. It is believed to be mostly original paint as well as all original interior. The early history on this car is not fully known but according to the provided clean CarFax, it appears that the current owner has owned the car since at least 2007 and since in their possession it has been driven sparingly, serviced when needed, and stored in their climate-controlled garage. As it sits today this Fiero needs nothing and is a stellar example of GM’......s foray into the mid-engine sports car world.
Included with the sale of this car are the books, receipts, original spare and jack, and a copy of the original loan document from the initial sale of the car.
This Fiero underwent full service, oil change, brake lines bled and fresh brake fluid on 1 September 2020.
Estimate: $20,000 - 24,000

1976 MG MGB V8 Lot #265 (Sale Order 170 of 247) 1976 MG MGB
Presented is what MG could have produced to compete with the mighty 289 Shelby Cobras and Sunbeam Tigers of those periods. Professionally built by a British car enthusiast and collector, no expense was spared in keeping the original factory appearance but with special attention paid to the drive train.
Shoe horned into the engine bay is a V8 3.5 liter Rover engine, similar to that which powered
British Leyland’......s Triumph TR8. Atop the manifold sits a Holley carburetor with special header exhaust manifolds. The V8 pushes out 200 horsepower through a 5 speed manual Miata MX5 gearbox which is brand new and far superior to the English “......Moss boxes.”......
The interior is all new with covered black leatherette seating and matching carpets. The car comes with a virtually new vinyl top and complete original tool kit. The beautiful MG “......resto mod”...... is finished off with a new set of 15-inch chrome wire wheels and “......knock offs”...... and new tires.
This MG will bring back memories of the British classics of the 60’......s and early 70’......s but with the performance to match its classic lines and today’......s highway cruising speeds!
Estimate: $25,000 - 27,000

Model 66R
“......Simply Stunning,”...... is the only way to describe this beautifully sculptured piece of rolling art. This Century Riviera not only has clean and classic lines but the blue and white exterior commands immediate attention given the gloss and depth of its color.
The quality and depth of attention to detail is over the top including the mechanical drive train. 1990 AM General Hummer Lot #274 (Sale Order 181 of 247) A dramatically customized 1990 military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, more famously known as a Humvee or HUMMER H1.
This is not just any used Humvee, this vehicle was subject to a complete, frame off, rotisserie customization by nationally recognized restoration and hot rod specialist Steve Hale of Frankfort, N.Y. The Humvee's unique paint and features is a salute to America's veterans and a fund raising effort for "Feed Our Vets" which is the only national non profit supporting vets nationally and in upstate New York with meals and food pantries.
The M998 HMMWV was developed by the military as a replacement for the Jeeps used in Vietnam. First produced by AM General in 1984 more than 281,000 of these tough and reliable light utility vehicles first gained fame in Desert Storm and later in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Military forces all over the world have ordered these workhorse vehicles.
The idea for this special salute to veterans originated with a Utica based charity called "Feed Our Vets", a 501 c 3 charity. That organization provides meals and operates several food pantries including a mobile food pantry-serving veterans in central and eastern New York State. Percentage Proceeds from sale of this Humvee will go to Feed Our Vets, a 501(3) to help maintain their programs. Feed Our Vets founder Rich Synek says he first had the idea of finding a Humvee to help raise funds for his group after CNN restored a H1 Hummer they had used in the Iraq war and auctioned it off for $1.25 million to benefit the Fisher House Foundation.
In 2015 Synek set off to see if he could find someone to donate a Humvee and last year he received a 1990 AM General HMMWV from Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia. He contacted Steve Hale of Steve's Hot Rods and Restorations. Steve is well known from appearances on the History Channel's "American Restorations" program. He jumped on the project when Synek showed him the Humvee.
Now, one year later and after at least 1,000 man-hours of labor the "Feed Our Vets" project has been completed. " Every piece was dismantled in Steve' shop, cleaned and painted.
The original 6.2-liter GM diesel V8 engine with GM fuel injection was freshened and runs well. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic and features independent 4-wheel drive. The suspension has been rebuilt. With four doors and a wide wheelbase there is plenty of room in the interior, which has also been completely redone in keeping with the look of the vehicle. All the gauges have been replaced.
The stunning and one off green and black paint scheme uses paint specially formulated and donated by PPG from their Crystallance paints which uses crushed glass to provide a striking sparkle. A&P Master Images of Utica donated computer renderings of the vehicle for the customization process. The vehicles features touches like 13 stars painted on the hood along with saluting soldiers on the truck's sides. The "Feed Our Vets" front and rear bumpers were donated by "Iron Cross" bumpers. The rear roll bar featuring a military star is part of the design and is hand rolled fabricated steel.
The huge tires are 37X12,5R16.5 donated by Pitbull Tires. One of the most memorable features of this special Humvee is the green wheels featuring chrome studs.
Completing the package are special LED lights across the front and rear windows and around the front fenders. Westin Automotive Products donated them.
Special Thanks and Kudos to Steve Hale! We can see the attention to detail he and his crew of Steve's Restorations & Hot Rods has put into this AMAZING Machine that is nothing short of Incredible! Well into the Six-Figure Range spent on it.

1959 Volkswagen Custom Lot #276 (Sale Order 183 of 247) 1959 Volkswagen Single Cab Custom pickup truck
A superb example of the Volkswagen Single Cab pickup truck variation restored to perfection. In looking at this unique and memorable VW truck you will see a remarkable devotion to detail by an enthusiast who knows his VWs and has owned some 18 Volkswagens.
Purchased in 2013, the truck was already redone but then after a small engine fire, the owner again totally restored this vehicle bringing it to an unbelievable level of quality and authenticity.
The body was fully prepped and totally repainted in beautiful “......Sealing Wax Red”....... The restoration shop used a two-stage system for the Axalta base coats and clear coats.
The interior including the bench seat were not damaged in the fire and so is in pristine condition down to the period correct VW seat belts.
Of course the engine had to be replaced in the back of the truck so the 2275 cc air cooled four cylinder is totally new and has been extensively improved with new internals including Weber carbs, a Pertonix ignition system and a stainless steel exhaust system. The steering box was replaced with a rebuilt box and the Barndoor steering wheel with the right model. The wiring harness was also replaced.
In addition to the new power plant the truck was raised up to the stock level via adjustable front beam/rear spring plates. The wheels were replaced with the correct 15-inch steel wheels with the rims and front bumper repainted in white.
The owner, a woodworking enthusiast, redid the truck bed with slats of hard maple and black walnut wood. All were finished with four coats of Spar Varnish and then locked in place. An interesting innovation on these VW trucks was the raised bed so wheel wells don’......t interfere with the cargo space and all three sides are hinged and can fold down allowing full access for loading the bed…......not that you would want to given the beautiful wood slats.
Already a show award winner, this unique and beautiful VW pickup is certain to go on winning awards for the new owner.

1950 Allard K1/K2 Lot #286 (Sale Order 192 of 247) 1950 Allard K1 / K2 Roadster
"Stunning!" One of many words to describe such a masterpiece of Automotive Design.
Recently out of private Collection where previously owned by Internationally Renowned Sculptor and Art Furniture Designer Wendell Castle with Amazing Pedigree, Documentation, and now offered to those seeking Rare Investment Grade Vehicles.
**PICTURES POSTED ARE CREDITED TO Darin Schnabel ©...2017 Courtesy of RM Sothebys AND HYMAN ltd.** PICTURES ARE DISPLAYED AS PART OF THE HISTORICAL TIMELINE OF THIS VEHICLE. ADDITIONAL PICTURES AND BOOK WILL BE PROVIDED.
We present you with One of My All Time Favorites; The 1950 Allard!
This fascinating 1950 K1/K2 is believed to be the only example of its kind, ordered directly from Allard by an American enthusiast. Thanks to comprehensive documentation that dates back to the original order, we can see that the first owner ordered a new K2, with its revised styling and improved chassis. But shortly thereafter, the order for the K2 was canceled and he instead requested an older K1! Allard obliged, though the car was actually built on the superior coil-sprung K2 chassis, and fitted with specially made, backdated K1 bodywork. The car was delivered in the States via John Forbes Agency of Boston, Massachusetts. From there it is believed it was disassembled and stored in the late 1950s, until it was subsequently sold in 1972. The Allard was gradually rebuilt over a 30 year period and, in 2003 was professionally restored to the state in which it presents today.
Finished in an attractive color scheme of silver paint over a pewter-grey cockpit, it presents in beautiful condition today. The quality of the paint work is outstanding with excellent levels of finish work and detailing. The car sits proudly on a set of black steel wheels with correct Allard dog-dish hubcaps and period appropriate blackwall bias-ply tires. Chrome on the bumpers and prominent grille is in excellent order. The silver paint highlights the beautiful curves of the K1 body, especially from the rear three-quarter view. The spartan cabin is trimmed in pewter-gray leather and gray carpeting. The leather is in very good order, showing only minor creasing from use, with an inviting patina. The four-spoke Brooklands steering wheel was replaced in July 2019, due to the extreme deterioration of the original plastic rim. Instrumentation is simple and tidy, with original Smiths gauges placed in the center of a nicely restored wood dash panel. Under the hood is a 1947 Mercury 59A flathead V8 engine, rated in period at 85 hp, though now producing significantly more (probably closer to 200 hp) thanks to an overbore to 295 cubic inches, beautiful Edelbrock heads and a trio of Stromberg 97 carburetors. An alternator has been fitted for reliable running day or night, and an electric fan keeps engine temps in check. This attractive and well-sorted Allard K1/K2 is an outstanding choice for vintage rallying or show, and its presentation, history and bespoke nature make it a standout even among the rarified company of other Allards.
The sale of this fine automobile includes comprehensive historical documentation, factory documents, a selection of original tools, a fitted tonneau cover, and original steering wheel.

1941 Buick Super 8 Lot #287 (Sale Order 193 of 247) 1941 Buick Super 8 Convertible
An AACA Grand National Prize winner, this 1941 Buick Special convertible is a beautifully restored example of a rare convertible coupe. Few Buick Special convertibles survive to this day and none are as striking as this example in Royal metallic maroon with a perfectly fitting black cloth top.
No expense has been spared to bring this Buick up to the highest standards of presentation. It is nearly perfect. As you would expect this is a numbers matching car. It comes with the original paperwork and books.
The hood is the unique piano hinged design which lifts from either side. Under the large hood the Buick Super featured the “......Fireball”...... straight 8 engine with 248 cubic inches with dual carburetors. It produces a claimed 125 hp. Interestingly Buick used an overhead valve configuration when the manufacturers were still using an old-fashioned valve in block. The three-speed shift lever is column mounted.
The front suspension is coil sprung while the rear suspension is leaf springs. Four-wheel braking is all hydraulic.
The interior is simply striking. Superbly restored in red trim with a deep red bench seat big enough for three.
The beautiful dashboard is an excellent example of industrial design from the art deco era. It includes full instrumentation with a radio set at the foot of a chrome panel. There is also a clock set into a metallic glove compartment door.
The striking design is credited to Harley Earl, the famous head of design for GM and is an early example of his longer, lower and wider philosophy that culminated in his designs of the late 1950s.
Given its stunning presentation this multi-award winner may be the finest example of a rare and highly collectable Buick Special convertible
Estimate: $55,000 - 60,000

1957 Chrysler 300C Lot #288 (Sale Order 194 of 247) 1957 Chrysler 300C
The 1957 Chrysler 300C is one of the two or three truly iconic cars from the 1950s. It was also the first “......muscle”...... car in many ways but with luxury touches at a high level never delivered by the muscle cars of later decades. These cars dominated NASCAR racing in the era and the 300C swept a flying mile competition on Daytona Beach with a speed of 134 miles per hour. At the same time, they were considered good drivers thanks to Chryslers innovative torsion bar front suspension and longer wheelbase. The owner says this car still drives beautifully.
This 300C hardtop sedan is only one of 1,918 produced in 1957 making it very rare. It is in beautiful condition thanks to a restoration by famed Albany restorer Bob Ensign. The coupe body is striking because it is longer, lower and wider plus you can’......t miss those unforgettable fins. This design forced the other automakers in Detroit to completely revamp their 1959 models to catch up.
In white with a white leather interior this car does standout. New wide, white wall radial tires installed during restoration add both to the cars handling and enhances the powerful design. The wheels are Kelsey Hayes wire wheels while the famed torsion bars in front and the shocks gas pressure which really helps deliver a ride in keeping with the fabulous power.
The 1957 models saw the famed Hemi V8 392 cubic inch ohv engine produce a remarkable 375 horsepower at a time when most competing sedans produced 200 hp or less. Of course, a 9.21:1 compression ratio contributed to the horsepower, but few contemporary engines were designed to handle that high compression. Helping with this stunning performance are two four-barrel carburetors. This 300C has the three speed Torquefilite Automatic transmission with that unusual Chrysler design, dashboard mounted shifter buttons. When you look at this cars performance and handling it is easy to see why Chrysler had such a strong reputation for engineering.
The interior is in first class shape with that memorable dashboard which includes an AM radio and power windows, rare at the time.
In looking at the bold design of the 300C, with its stunning performance and its advanced suspension it is easy to see why this was the most famous American performance vehicle of its era. Thanks to limited production numbers, these cars, like this one in such excellent condition, have become highly collectable.

2017 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake Lot #297 (Sale Order 203 of 247) 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake
Shelby Engineered 750+ HP Supercharger
Upgraded short throw shifter
Shelby/ Willwood performance brake system (6 piston front, 4 piston rear)
Shelby extreme cooling system
High polished whipple supercharger
A new snake is ready to hit the streets. At Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale auction, Shelby American introduced its 2017 50th Anniversary Shelby Super Snake. It comes with as much as 750 horsepower. Only 500 examples of the new Super Snake will be available globally, so if you want one, you better act quick. Each car will honor the 50th anniversary of the original, which was unveiled back in 1967. Based on the 2017 Mustang GT , Shelby supercharges Fords 5.0-liter V8 to produce 670 horsepower (449 kilowatts), with an option to add 750 horsepower (559 kilowatts) thanks to a more powerful Whipple or Kenne Bell supercharger. The result is a car well worthy of the designation "Hellcat Killer." From a standstill, it will hit 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 3.5 seconds, and blast down a quarter-mile drag strip in 10.9 seconds. A Shelby cooling package assures things don't get too hot under the hood, while new Ford Performance half shafts and a one-piece drive shaft further adds to its performance credentials. "We compared the groundbreaking 1967 and 2007 model Super Snakes to other cars of their era when setting the performance parameters for our anniversary model," said Shelby American's new President Gary Patterson . "The new Super Snake matches those cars competitive advantages. The newest Super Snake is both extraordinarily fast and a thrill to drive. In a world filled with sterile cars, its a throwback to a time when people enjoyed driving." The exterior, though subtle, retains that iconic Shelby style with upgrades like a new hood, rockers, spoilers, splitters, grilles, fog lights, and rear tail panel and diffuser assembly. All of the exterior bodywork was modeled digitally using CAD, with nearly all Shelby-exclusive components developed and tested alongside the manufacturers. The two seen here wear the iconic Shelby blue and white motif. The interior also gets some freshening up, including anniversary logos on the seats and floor mats, special door sill plates, a new gauge cluster with exclusive Shelby by Automaker wireless gauges, and an official Shelby Serial number on a dash plaque.
Estimate: $100,000 - 110,000

1931 Pierce-Arrow Model 42 Phaeton Lot #298 (Sale Order 204 of 247) 1931 Pierce-Arrow Dual Cowl Phaeton
Collection of Wayne Freihofer, Loudonville, New York
Pierce-Arrow automobiles were built in Buffalo, New York from 1901 to 1938. Founder George N. Pierce began by manufacturing bicycles, bird cages, refrigerators and then motorcycles. By 1908, his Great Arrow sixes were the equal of anything sold on either side of the Atlantic. Pierce cars were conservative, like the wealthy clientele they served. Enthusiasts argue the company's finest hour was from 1910-1913 with its luxurious Model 48s and 66s. The big prestigious models were largely hand built, with precisely machined componentry.
In 1913-1914, Pierce offered a unique, patented headlamp treatment designed in-house by Herbert M. Dawley. The lights were gracefully (and very distinctively) faired into the front fenders; they instantly signified a Pierce-Arrow. More Pierce innovations included extensive use of aluminum, including cast alloy bodies, hydraulic tappets, power brakes and as early as 1907, a column shift. Curiously, Pierce-Arrow cars retained right-hand drive until 1920, long after most makes had abandoned this practice.
In 1928, financial difficulties ensued due to slowing sales and a preponderance of model offerings. Pierce-Arrow merged with Studebaker. Sales increased in the short term, but despite available custom bodywork by America's finest coachbuilders and a powerful V-12 engine option, the Depression took its toll and units dwindled. Not even the dramatically-styled, streamlined Silver Arrow show car (just five were built, at a cost of $10,000 each) could save the company.
This example, a Model 42 Dual Cowl Phaeton rides on a 142-inch wheelbase. It's powered by a 132-bhp, 385-cid straight eight with a four-speed manual transmission and freewheeling, that could be engaged or disengaged via a lever on the dash, along with powerful Bendix duo-servo mechanical brakes. This Pierce also features a built-in bar for the rear seat passengers.

1961 Sunbeam Alpine Lot #300 (Sale Order 206 of 247) In 1961 there were approximately 110 Harrington Alpines produced by Thomas Harington Coach Builders Ltd. These cars were based on Series II Alpine bodies and were produced from 1961. The Sunbeam Harrington’......s were sold the authorized Rootes Ltd. dealerships. The Harrington Alpines brought together classic British styling coachwork, a superb chassis by Sunbeam and race breed performance tuning by George Hartwell Ltd to make this Harrington Alpine an outright blast to drive. What made these are cars special was the addition of the fiberglass fastback roof, which gave the Harrington Alpines a sleek, artsy, coupe functionality.
Sunbeam Harrington Alpine chassis # B9102814 finished light blue metallic paint with a dark blue interior, wood steering, and a Momo shift knob to top it off. At first glance the Sunbeam Harrington Alpine catches your eye with it classy, but sport-minded styling. Everything was done with function and form in mind. These cars truly cloak us in the styling of the early British 1960’......s style. The interior of the Sunbeam Harrington Alpine is exquisite with dark blue leather abounding and complemented by beautiful burled wood on the dash and shift knob. Another item of note is the beautiful Moto-Lita wood/aluminum steering wheel that is in exceptional condition.
The coachwork is exceptional and just take a look at the hinged deck lid, the angled taillights and stunning metallic paint. The Alpine and Harrington badging state there is something special here. The bright work is tastefully done accentuating the sporty lines of the Harrington hardtop. This car looks amazing from every angle and states performance is here.
As with most enthusiast cars the engine is the heart of it. This right hand drive car sports a 1.6L I-4 engine with Webber Carbs and from the 1st crack of the engine you know this car wants to go! George Hartwell Ltd did all the engine tuning for Harrington at the time of the original build. As with the exceptional styling of the exterior, the engine also is something to behold with chrome accents throughout and those Weber carbs windup all motoring aficionados. The Harrington also has true wire wheels w/knockoffs to complete the ensemble.
This car is encapsulates all things from the 1960’......s style, sport and exclusivity and will certainly complement your collection. The car beckons to be driven and should be seen.

1951 Nash-Healey Roadster Lot #303 (Sale Order 209 of 247) 1951 Nash-Healey Series 25 Roadster
Awe Inspiring and from equally Impressive Private Collection of Wendell Castle, internationally renowned sculptor and art furniture designer.
This Nash-Healey IS a Work of Art with the Power and Breeding to Back it Up.
The 1951 Nash-Healey was the first post-war sports car from a major American manufacturer. The roadster’......s aluminum body was designed by Len Hodges and Don Healey. Healey entered the prototype in the 1950 race at Le Mans, finishing third in class, fourth overall, behind two Talbot-Lagos and Sydney Allard’......s Cadillac-powered J2 but ahead of Aston Martins, Jaguars, Ferraris and Cunningham’......s own Cadillac-powered specials. Just over 100 were manufactured.
This car’......s stock 3.85L inline six cylinder Nash engine is fitted with a very rare Healey factory racing team aluminum head. This head features an integrated intake manifold supporting triple SU carbs (the stock engine used dual SUs). The long stroke engine rumbles wonderfully through its beautifully constructed custom headers and exhaust. The three-speed manual transmission has a Borg-Warner overdrive, plus torque tube and differential. The chassis is a widened and reinforced Healey Silverstone box-section ladder-type steel frame. The independent front suspension, also Healey Silverstone, uses coil springs, trailing link, and a sway bar. The rear suspension features Nash’......s rear end with coil springs replacing the Silverstone’......s leaf springs, while the beam axle is located by a Panhard rod. Bendix drum brakes on all four corners provide the stopping power.
Wendell purchased the car in the early 1990’......s and began its complete restoration. Along the way, he chose to make many modifications to achieve a period race look and performance: No bumpers, a raked windshield, Healey factory racing intake manifold, custom exhaust system, roll bar, seats, etc. All of these subtle changes help make this car so special. First, the color is not Champagne Ivory or Sunset Maroon. The seats are modified later model Austin Healey buckets. The custom interior and leather upholstery are top notch with the green piping selected to match the body color. The wool berber carpets are also trimmed in green. Wendell laid out the instrument panel using new Smiths gauges, with the tach located purposefully in front of the driver. A wood-rimmed Motolita steering wheel is fitted to the adjustable column. The roll bar height is adjustable so it can fit underneath the top. A LeMans fuel door and filler neck connect to a custom stainless fuel tank. Painted 54 spoke Jaguar wire wheels replace the stock steel wheels. The rears were built up with a 1.3? wider rim to give the car an ever so slightly more aggressive stance. Tires are 185R16 92S Michelin X. The boot has a convenient custom spline hub mount for the spare wheel.
This highly anticipated long term project, over 25 years in the making, was never completed. It was the closest he came to designing and building his own car since he and his younger brother assembled one in the basement of their family home in Kansas back in the ’......40s. This one is a lot prettier!
Much of the original body, electrical, and mechanical work was done by Posie’......s in Hummelstown, PA. More finishing and fitting work including an engine and carb rebuild was done by Concours Classics Motor Cars in Macedon, NY. The custom leather interior, fabric tonneau, and fabric top were done by R.P. Interiors in Horseheads, NY. All receipts with descriptions of work are available.
The sale includes the major parts needed to finish the car. Some minor items including gaskets, seat belts, and a bonnet prop rod will need to be purchased. The side curtains and mounts were designed and partially fabricated, the parts are included. Many other miscellaneous parts from the original car are also included. A white vinyl roundel was added for its showing at the 2019 Watkins Glen Vintage Gran Prix Concours.

2004 Ferrari 575M Lot #306 (Sale Order 213 of 247) 2004 Ferrari 575M
The Ferrari 575M continued a return of the classic Ferrari GT with the engine in the front and a rear transaxle drive, V12 motor and 6 speed manual transmission. The 575M, and its predecessor the 550M, revived Ferrari’......s long tradition of high-performance grand touring cars also breed for success on the racetrack. There was a 25-year gap between the introduction of the 550M in 1996 and one of the greatest GTs of all time, the fabulous 365 GTB/4 Daytona.
The front engine and rear wheel drive create a more spacious and comfortable interior compared to the Ferrari’......s mid-engine models. So the front engine makes sense for a fast touring car. Not only does it boast a V12 to give the owner a sense of pure driving control, this 575M also has the rare 6 speed manual transmission instead of the flappy paddles found on most 575M.
With only 14,675 miles, this particular 575M is in excellent condition. In bright Rosso Corsa red this is a stunning beauty. A true Ferrari GT.
The 575M’......s V12 5.75-liter engine delivers a powerful 515 hp and a top speed just over 200 mph. With an adaptive suspension, power steering and a comfortable driving position piloting this gorgeous car is almost effortless. Part of this driving pleasure comes from the adaptive suspension set up in which the four independent suspension are controlled by the gear box to minimize pitch during shifting. Stopping is solid with large Brembo disc brakes.
These cars came with few options, everything one would want in a grand touring car is included. The black and functional interior features two leather bucket seats with red trim.
The 575M is regarded as remarkably trouble free with few problem areas. This car has just had a brand-new belt service.
There are few exotic cars available today that can match this Ferrari 575M when it comes to visual impact and driving experience. This is the classic Ferrari GT for the modern era.
Estimate: $275,000 - 300,000

1968 Chevrolet Corvette IMSA Yenko-Thompson Lot #307 (Sale Order 214 of 247) IMSA Yenko/Thompson Corvette
Call it a barn find, time capsule or race ready piece of American produced race car history, there is no question this one off Corvette is the most documented vintage race car being offered in some time. With just one owner since the purchase from Jerry Thompson and Don Yenko in 1976, the year after its participation in the 24 hours of Daytona where it ran as high as third against the likes of Peter Gregg, Brian Redman, and Al Holbert in their factory Porsches and BMWs. The Corvette now stands as it rolled off the trailer in 1975, with meticulous detail paid to the preparation on that day.
Jerry Thompson, a noted Corvette racer from the early 1960s and driver of the famous Owens-Corning Corvettes of the late 1960s as well as Don Yenko, the legendary Chevrolet dealer of high-performance street cars, combined on the project to build this “......skunk works”...... version of the racing model. Thompson, a General Motors engineer and Yenko, who supplied the motors through his high-performance connections at GM, constructed the car with the help of the GM tech center in Detroit.
With the assistance of GM design engineer, Randy Wittine, who created the unique “......boxed”...... flares to accommodate the newly approved wider tires, the Corvette provide a silhouette never seen in a production racing Corvettes. Wittine’......s flares were the second set produced, as the first set went to the factory supported John Greenwood IMSA Corvette.
Power was supplied by a 454 cubic inch engine bored 60 over to produce over 650 horsepower. The engines came directly from Chevrolet’......s performance department and dyno’......d at the factory. The Corvette now has an all new 454 bored and prepared to the exact specifications for which it ran in Daytona in 1974.
The documentation provided by the owner is comprehensive. Included with the car are the original bill of sale from Jerry Thompson, all racing results and historical documents relating to its entry and participation in numerous IMSA sanctioned events throughout the US, a notarized statement from Thompson as to the authenticity and history of the car, as well as numerous photographs of the car in its various racing liveries throughout its lifespan.
Offered for sale for the first time since its purchase in 1975, the Corvette is now prepared to pristine condition and attention to detail. The car’......s historic value, given its factory participation and association with legends Jerry Thompson and Don Yenko, make this Corvette a serious piece of American produced racing car history. Other than the famous Cunningham Corvettes of the late 1950s, the Grand Sports of the early 1960s and the Greenwood cars of the 1970s, this Corvette is a one of one in the registry of legendary racing Corvettes.

1958 Plymouth Fury "Christine" Movie Car Lot #310 (Sale Order 217 of 247) 1958 Plymouth Fury “......Christine”......
This car is evil. It is also a movie star. That’......s right, it is an actual survivor of the cult horror classic “......Christine.”...... This is not a replica, a reproduction or a clone, it is the real deal. With documentation, this is apparently the only genuine survivor of the most scariest automotive movies ever made.
In filming “......Christine”...... Director John Carpenter used some sixteen 1958 Plymouth Furys and additional Plymouths of different models but all painted red. They were crushed, crashed and set on fire. Not many survived intact. This car is one that actually lived on in good condition. It was used in closeups.
After filming wrapped three “......Christines”...... were sent on the road to promote the film. This car was raffled off after her movie career was over in a promotion with the USA cable network’......s “......Night Flight”....... Some 40-thousand people entered the sweepstakes. The car was won by a Scott Edminster. It eventually wound up in amazing company as part of the Ron Pratte Collection in Arizona. This was a sizeable collection of memorable cars, just about all American, including famous vehicles like the GM Futureliner bus, the last Shelby Super Snake Cobra and the 1954 Pontiac Bonneville concept car.
After a 2015 Barrett-Jackson auction, which dispersed the Pratte Collection, “......Christine”...... came to the Rochester Auto Museum. In 2018 she took a star turn, featured in a 35th anniversary celebration of the movie at the museum which included cast and crew from the making of the film.
This Plymouth Fury is “......Christine,”...... and it comes with full documentation including an ownership title for Polar Films which produced the movie.
She has undergone an all-inclusive restoration and is powered by a small block Wedge V8 motor. Dual 4-barrell carburetors sit on an Offenhauser intake manifold. The TorqueFlite automatic transmission features those memorable push buttons mounted on the dash. She also features power steering and power brakes.
The exterior of “......Christine”...... is in the original red with white top and features reasonably sized fins in keeping with 50’......s styling. Body trim is chrome and polished aluminum. Full size wheel covers are used over the wide, white wall tires. The interior is two tone red vinyl and cloth bench seats with red carpeting.
The radio played a key and scary role in the movie, coming back to life after being destroyed by a punk. One doubts that this is the original AM radio, but it may well be “......Christine’......s Voice.”......
“......Christine”...... author Stephen King picked the 1958 Plymouth Fury as the protagonist for his book because he felt it was a forgotten car. Somehow the thin roofline, opulent trim, quad headlights and straight bar grill, so well received and much copied in the 1950s, were out of favor by the 80’......s. It certainly isn’......t surprising that after the success of King’......s book and the movie adaptation, the Fury is no longer an overlooked Plymouth. They are now highly collectable and there are a number of nicely done clones and reproductions out there of this movie star, but they aren’......t the real thing.
Title in Transit
This is “......Christine.”......

The 1965 Cadillac Calais is named after the French port city of Calais that overlooks the narrowest point in the English channel. The Calais was the new entry level Cadillac for 1965 replacing the 62 Series. Beautiful color, people always comment on the pretty the color of the car. this Cadillac draws a lot of attention.

1990 Mazda Miata Lot #331 (Sale Order 239 of 247) 1990 Mazda Miata
The Mazda Miata is the best-selling sports car of all time. All for a good reason. The Miata brought back the fun and pure driving entertainment of those British sports cars of yesteryear.
The Miata MX5 was introduced in 1989 but all early imports were registered as 1990 vehicles. That means this particular Miata is a very early example and comes with only 42-thousand miles on the odometer.
With its original red paint this Miata just says sports car. The interior is black and features grey cloth bucket seats and the convertible top is black vinyl. Of course, a peppy DHOC 1600cc 4-cylinder engine with 116 hp. coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission delivers on the visual promise. Top speed was estimated at 126 mph. 0-60 is 8.3 seconds. It also features 4-wheel disc brakes and an all independent suspension that deliver sports car handling.
This Miata offers a great opportunity to return to the days when driving an open sports car on twisty roads was an escape from the mundane world of boring grey boxes.
Estimate: $10,000 - 12,000

1970 Chevrolet Corvette Lot #332 (Sale Order 240 of 247) 1970 Chevrolet Corvette
*T-Tops
*350 cu in - V8 - 350 hp - L46 engine
*4 Speed Manual Transmission
*AM/FM Radio
Per the owner - This 1970 corvette has what I think is the original engine as the vin is stamped on the block. It is the 350hp version of the engine, back up by a 4spd manual transmission. The car has been repainted at some point but could stand to be done again. The car does run and drive, but is missing the right side muffler so it is pretty loud. Overall the condition is of a car that you could use as a Sunday driver, with some minor work, or fully restore. I have put a handful of new parts into this car as I have been driving it the past couple years sparingly.
Estimate: $10,000 - 12,000
