NSKK Dagger With Scabbard-Near Mint Condition-Scarce RZM M7/73 Maker-Fu.A Helbig Lot #20 (Sale Order 25 of 274) Textbook Helbig NSKK Dagger. Helbig NSKK Daggers are unique in the fact that they were produced by this company with magnetic steel based fittings that were nickel/chrome plated. The pommel nut is also thicker which is another attribute found on NSKK/SA/SS daggers by this maker. Grip eagle is the typical high neck version which is also the type eagle Helbig used. The plating on the pommel and cross guard is nearly flawless which is an exceptional plus as most are found with plating loss and/or lifting due to the steel base. The etched motto on this example is much crisper than most Helbig dagger blades and still retains most of the original gray burnishing. Most of all the original factory cross graining on the blade is present. Large Helbig RZM M7/73 etching as is typical for this maker. Original black enamel painted scabbard is nearly flawless exhibiting minor surface scratches. This dagger has been vetted on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum and is all thumbs up!
