For your consideration we offer for sale this Harry Jackson lost wax bronze and book. These limited edition items are number 85 out of 100. They were purchased directly from the artist and have been in the same family since 1973. Harry Jackson, born in Chicago in 1924, ran away from home at age fourteen to become a cowboy and managed to get to Wyoming. He stopped cowboying in 1942 to enlist in the Marines and served as a combat artist. To further his artwork, Jackson went to New York City where, from 1948 to 1954, he received considerable critical attention as an abstract expressionist. He began sculpting in 1958, developing realistic and detailed representations of the cowboy and Native American life. Jackson came full-circle by painting some of his bronze sculptures. For your consideration we offer for sale this original oil painting by the artist, John Scott, dated 1973. This painting features a mountain man scene from the 1800s. It is in a period frame which shows some stressing (the stressing could be from age or it may have been made that way. See close-up pics). The painting is done on masonite board. John T. Scott was born on a farm in Gentilly, a well known section in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1940. Throughout his many years of life, until his death in 2007, Scott did some remarkable things in the world of art, including being a painter, printmaker, collagist and sculptor. But he is perhaps best known as being a prominent sculptor in his 67 years of life. Scott was known for his vibrant abstract pieces, and his art is displayed throughout many prominent locations. One of these such locations includes his alma matter and a place he spent several years teaching, Xavier University of Louisiana. His sculpture, Ancestral Legacy, is proudly displayed in the courtyard of this campus. It has the crown over an N German proof mark and the full serial number is on the underside of the barrel near the frame. Many other parts are stamped with the last 2 digits of the serial number as well. The magazine and one of the parts on the slide have numbers that do not match. This was a family heirloom passed down through several generations before it was brought in to us. The original owner was reported to be Viola Hudson Staggs, from Pope County Arkansas who was a Cherokee Native American, born in 1880 and passed away in 1952. MBA Experimental Mark I Gyrojet Rocket Pistol with Provenance

Morrey Reznik, owner of the Jewel Box in Phoenix Arizona (a pawnshop that was really big into firearms and the collecting of them) was an avid supporter and enthusiast of the MBAssociates Gyrojet Rocket Guns when they came out in the mid-1960s. This serial No. A0020 was one of Morrey's. Included with this special experimental Rocket pistol is correspondence between the owners of the company and Morrey, along with a certificate for the pistol and another certificate certifying Morrey as a certified operator of the Gyrojet. There is a lot of original paperwork from the 1960s included with the package. Additionally, a 2010 copy of, "An Introduction to MBA Gyrojets, and Other Ordinance" by Mel Carpenter, is included with the lot. This book was personalized to Steve Reznik, Morrey's son, who ran the Jewel Box, starting in the 1980s and eventually inherited this gun. It comes with its original box and ten 13mm faux projectiles (these particular bullets are for the display). Dozens of original brochures that were sent to the Jewel Box for distribution are also included. Megargee was one of the first cowboy artists. He studied art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and later at the Los Angeles School of Art and Design. Lon always felt that Arizona was his true home; near the end of his life, he claimed Tombstone as his birthplace. George W. P.
