Our mission is to support Alleghany Health by providing financial support to assist Alleghany Health in achieving its mission to provide high-quality healthcare to the citizens of Alleghany County, NC and Grayson County, VA. Funds raised are used for capital expenditures such as clinical equipment, medical service-related expenses, and facility infrastructure where appropriate. In addition, the Foundation serves to promote, encourage, solicit, receive, and administer contributions, gifts, bequests, and other donations. The AMH Foundation hosts two special event fundraisers annually - The Annual AMH Foundation Golf Tournament and the Annual Fashion Show, these events raise a large majority of funds for the Foundation. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has prevented us from having these events. The Foundation also oversees the Alleghany Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop that donates 100% of proceeds to the Foundation. So far this year, proceeds have been used to purchase a glidescope and sleep lab equipment.
