***HIGHLIGHT***NGC 1933-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar Double die obverse Lot #15 (Sale Order 15 of 256) ONLY THE THIRD DOUBLE DIE OBVERSE FOR THE 1933-S!!! How do I know? Because I got the 2nd and 3rd one slabbed. There was an article that came out in one of the coins magazines about a year ago about this 1933-S Walker that was a DDO and a discovery coin. So, I thought to myself....Self...why not start looking for them? Lo and behold, I found two. One of mine and one of a consignors. Had to send them in 3 times to finally get the head attributor at NGC to concede it was truly a DDO. NGC was the first one to slab it and it was nothing short of a headache getting the other 2 slabbed. I kept the second one, which is mine and graded in VF-20. This one is graded in Fine 15. Hard to set a value on them since they're new. I'd expect them to go between $300 and $500. FUN!
