Kewpie is posed on the lid of a pastel shaded trinket box; there is a tiny hole in one corner of the lid, designed for placement of a bee or other fearsome creature. Marked c. Very good condition, some retouch to finish. A unique and amusing variation of the beloved Becassine doll. Early 1900s.

Dewees Cochran, 1950s, very rare model from her series of American children, made in her own studio.
